Is US ‘terror tag’ likely for Muslim Brotherhood?

I, for one, would like to know WHAT Trump advisors are advising AGAINST the Muslim Brotherhood being designated as a terrorist group.

The story comes from Al Arabiya.

Is US ‘terror tag’ likely for Muslim Brotherhood?

A debate is under way in the Trump administration about whether the United States should declare the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization and subject it to US sanctions, according to US officials and people close to President Donald Trump’s transition team.

A faction led by Michael Flynn, Trump’s National Security Advisor, wants to add the Brotherhood to the State Department and US Treasury lists of foreign terrorist organizations, the sources said. “I know it has been discussed. I’m in favor of it,” said a Trump transition advisor, who declined to be named because of the sensitivity of the issue.

The advisor said Flynn’s team discussed adding the group to the US list of terrorist groups but said it was ultimately unclear when or even if the administration ultimately would go ahead with such a move.

Other Trump advisors, as well as many veteran national security, diplomatic, law enforcement and intelligence officials argue the Brotherhood has evolved peacefully in some countries, according to officials and people close to Trump’s entourage. The Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, the country’s oldest Islamist movement, was designated as a terrorist organization in that country in 2013.

It is not clear which faction within the US administration has the upper hand, and Senator Ted Cruz and Representative Mario Diaz-Balart this month introduced legislation to add the Brotherhood to the terrorist list. There was no immediate comment from the White House.
Mixed record

Trump’s nominee for Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, described the Brotherhood an “an agent of radical Islam”, during his Senate confirmation hearing.

US criminal law prohibits people in the United States from knowingly providing “material support” to designated terrorist organizations, and members of such groups are banned from entering the United States. Some conservative and anti-Muslim activists have argued for years that the Brotherhood has been a breeding ground for terrorists.

Some branches of the Brotherhood, including the Palestinian group Hamas, have engaged in anti-government violence and provoked violent government reactions. Ayman al-Zawahiri, the leader of al-Qaeda, was once a member of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood.

Sisi and Trump spoke by phone this week and the two leaders discussed ways to boost the fight against terrorism and extremism. A US official who declined to be identified told Reuters there had been discussions at the State Department which looked at intelligence and information on the group in which it was thought “it would be difficult to justify legally, in terms of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood, to meet the criteria”.

“It’s one thing to say one group’s ideology has been used to influence a terrorist organization and another thing to say that this group is a terrorist organization,” said the US official.

A British government review into Egypt’s outlawed Muslim Brotherhood published in December 2015 concluded that membership of or links to the political group should be considered a possible indicator of extremism but stopped short of recommending that it should be banned.

Mohammed Morsi Sentenced To Death By Egyptians, 72 Virgins Confused Whether To Prepare or Not

A lot of people complain nowadays that there isn't much "good news."  Well, today there is GREAT news as the Muslim Brotherhood's Mohammed Morsi, the guy Barack Hussein Obama propped up as the leader of Egypt, has been sentenced to death for his role in a series of prison breaks held during the uprising of 2011.

Yep.  Excellent news.

Like everything Barack Hussein Obama touches, it goes to HELL.

The story comes from DAWN.

Egypt sentences deposed president Morsi to death

CAIRO: An Egyptian court sentenced deposed Islamist president Mohamed Morsi and more than 100 other defendants to death on Saturday over jail breaks during the 2011 uprising.

Morsi, sitting in a caged dock, raised his fists in defiance when the judge read his verdict.

Many of those sentenced were tried in absentia, including prominent Islamic cleric Yusuf al-Qaradawi who resides in Qatar.

Under Egyptian law, death sentences are passed on to the mufti, the government's interpreter of Islamic law, who plays an advisory role.

The court will pronounce its final decision on June 2.

Morsi was spared the death sentence in the first of two trials that concluded on Thursday, in which the court advised death sentences for 16 defendants on espionage charges.

They had been charged with colluding with foreign powers, the Palestinian Hamas and Iran to destabilise Egypt.

The court will pronounce the verdicts for Morsi and the remaining 18 defendants in that trial at a later date.

The court then delivered its verdict in the other the case, in which Morsi and 128 defendants were accused of plotting jail breaks and attacks on police during the uprising that overthrew president Hosni Mubarak in 2011. More than 100 were sentenced to death along with Morsi.

Many of the defendants are Palestinians alleged to work with Hamas in neighbouring Gaza, and were tried in absentia along with a Lebanese Hezbollah commander.

They were alleged to have colluded with Morsi's Muslim Brotherhood to carry out attacks in Egypt in what prosecutors allege was a vast conspiracy.

With this verdict, Morsi and other former opposition members have been condemned for violence during the anti-Mubarak protest, while Mubarak himself beat charges in a trial over the deaths of anti-government protesters during the 18-day revolt that toppled him.

Obama's Link To Al Qaeda: Former Egyptian Jihad Leader: Morsi Gave $25M to Al Qaeda

Nabil Na'im, former leader of the Egyptian Islamic Jihad and close confidant of current Al Qaeda leader Ayman Zawahiri

Let's put the pieces together - the Obama administration was in full support of the Arab Spring in Egypt, the Obama administration was in full support of the Muslim Brotherhood taking power in Egypt, and now it all comes full circle as the link between the Muslim Brotherhood and al Qaeda is clear - so, put the Muslim Brotherhood together with al Qaeda and then steer your attention to Benghazi and I would say you have a pretty solid theory of why Barack Hussein Obama and Hillary Clinton made up the "Mohammed video" fairly tale.

The story comes from The Clarion Project.

Former Egyptian Jihad Leader: Morsi Gave $25M to Al Qaeda

Nabil Na'im, formerly a close confidante of Al Qaeda's leader, said the money was to help organize support for the Brotherhood.

Speaking on Haya TV, Nabil Na'im, a former Islamist who was the leader of Egypt’s Islamic Jihad and who was previously a close confidante of current Al Qaeda leader Ayman Zawahiri, asserted that during the reign of former Egyptian president Mohammad Morsi, Zawahiri was given $25 million from Muslim Brotherhood leader Khairat al-Shatter to organize, fund and assemble the jihadi groups “in order to support the Brotherhood.”

Al-Shatter, though not a member of Morsi’s government, was imprisoned after the overthrow of Morsi. Al-Shatter was asked for personally by John McCain during his visit to Egypt last summer after Morsi's ouster at which time McCain pushed for the reinstatement of the Brotherhood. U.S. Ambassador to Egypt Anne Patterson was reportedly seen visiting Shatter often.

Na'im has previously said that attempts by the U.S. to “reconcile” Egypt with the Muslim Brotherhood was “nothing but a conspiracy by the American administration,” and that the Brotherhood, when in power, had betrayed Egyptian sovereignty, adding that ousted president Morsi granted Egyptian citizenship to more than 60,000 Palestinians, many of whom were in the ranks of the jihad.

Muslim Brotherhood Turns Tail and Readies To Run From New British Headquarters

If you look back at it all...probably the worst thing that could have ever happened to the Muslim Brotherhood as an international organization was its rise to power in Egypt under Morsi - what happened at that moment in time was that this clandestine, stealth-type kind of terrorist group was introduced formally to the world and the light of day has not been kind to it.  Don't get me wrong - they are formidable and will continue to be so especially since they have the full cooperation of the Hussein Obama administration but some world leaders are waking the hell up.

The story comes from Family Security Matters.

Muslim Brotherhood Flees London After British PM Launches Investigation

The Muslim Brotherhood is reported to be fleeing its recently established headquarters in London following the announcement of an investigation into their activities by Prime Minister David Cameron.

A report in the Daily Mail makes mention of the fact in addition to former Prime Minister Tony Blair's foundation being linked to the Islamist group, the newly established London HQ of the group it set to be abandoned in favour of a base in Graz, Austria.

The Muslim Brotherhood's new international office in London, which was also reported to be serving as their new global headquarters after a brutal crackdown on the group in Egypt, was said to be above an old, disused kebab shop in the north-west London area of Cricklewood.

Earlier this month Prime Minister David Cameron announced that he was launching a formal investigation into the Brotherhood's activities in the United Kingdom - a situation that caused palpable stress to Brotherhood members in London. Some responded by threatening legal action against the British government, while other statements claimed that the group would work transparently to prove their non-violent motivations.

Many, including non-Brotherhood figures, have suggested that the investigation was launched under pressure by the government of Saudi Arabia, which Britain has recently negotiated sizeable weapons contracts with. The Saudi government itself banned the Muslim Brotherhood last month, and the lead investigator on Cameron's taskforce is the former UK Ambassador to Riyadh.

Now it appears that instead of working openly with the British government's investgation, the group has decided to flee yet another country following its downfall in Egypt. Graz is Austria's second largest city. The Global Muslim Brotherhood Watch website notes: "The choice of Graz as the location for a Muslim Brotherhood headquarters may seem odd to some but as a report on the history of the US Muslim Brotherhood has noted, self-described Brotherhood “Foreign Minister” Youssef Nada and the late US Muslim Brotherhood leader Ahmed Elkadi were both living in Graz in the 1960s. In addition, European Muslim Brotherhood leader Ayman Aly, formerly a top advisor to deposed Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi, had been a long-time resident of Graz."

Egypt sentences 529 Morsi supporters to death

The Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt is about to become a smaller organization.

The story comes from DAWN.

Egypt sentences 529 Morsi supporters to death

CAIRO: A court in southern Egyptian has convicted 529 supporters of ousted President Mohammed Morsi, sentencing them to death on charges of murdering a policeman and attacking police.

The court in Minya issued its ruling on Monday after only two sessions in which the defendants' lawyers complained they had no chance to present their case.

Those convicted are part of a group of 545 defendants on trial for the killing of a police officer, attempted killing of two others, attacking a police station and other acts of violence.

More than 150 suspects stood trial, the others were tried in absentia.

Sixteen were acquitted.

The defendants were arrested after violent demonstrations that were a backlash for the police crackdown in August on pro-Morsi sit-ins in Cairo that killed hundreds of people.

Gunmen kill 6 Egyptian soldiers at checkpoint

The Muslim Brotherhood doesn't go quietly....

From Times of India.

Gunmen kill 6 Egyptian soldiers at checkpoint

CAIRO: Egypt's state news agency said gunmen attacked a checkpoint manned by the military police in a suburb north of Cairo on early on Saturday, killing six of them, officials said.

Separately, the country's most active militant group said that one of its founding leaders was killed when a bomb he was carrying was set off by a car accident.

Maj General Mahmoud Yousri, chief of security of Qalubiya province, told MENA that the attackers stormed the checkpoint in Shubra al-Kheima. Health ministry official Zakariya Abed Rabbo said six soldiers died.

Yousri said explosive disposal experts managed to defuse two bombs left behind by the attackers, but the experts detonated a third bomb which they were unable to defuse.

A statement issued by armed forces spokesman, Col Ahmed Mohammed Ali, said an armed group which belongs to the Muslim Brotherhood "terrorist group" attacked the soldiers after they finished their dawn prayers.

"These cowardly operations will only increase our determination to continue the war against terrorism," he said.

Egyptian authorities say the Brotherhood has orchestrated a series of bomb attacks on police and other targets that followed the overthrow of President Mohamed Morsi, who hails from the Islamist group.

They have produced little evidence open to public scrutiny to bolster these claims, and most have been claimed by a Sinai-based al-Qaida-inspired group, Ansar Beit al-Maqdis or Champions of Jerusalem. The Brotherhood denies the attacks.

In a statement posted early Saturday on militant websites, the Ansar said one of its founding leaders, Tawfiq Mohammed Freij, was killed Tuesday when an accident set off a "heat bomb" he was transporting in his car. It did not say where the accident took place.

It said Freij, also known Abu Abdullah, was one of the founders of the group, who masterminded the group's tactic of blowing up pipelines to stop Egyptian gas supplies to Israel.

It called him the "field commander" of an August 2011 cross-border attack into southern Israel that targeted a bus and other vehicles near the resort city of Eilat, killing eight people.

The statement's wording suggests that Freij moved from either Sinai or Gaza to Cairo or elsewhere in Egypt in early 2013 to supervise the group's operations, including a failed suicide car bomb attack on Interior Minister Mahmoud Ibrahim in Cairo in September 2013.

The statement could not be independently authenticated, but militant groups regularly use the websites to make announcements.

Muslim Brotherhood or al-Qaeda, there is no difference in ideology

Muslim Brotherhood or al-Qaeda, there isn't any difference in their methods or ideology. In any instance, while Egypt is calling Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization, President Obama and his regime are assisting them with arms and money. Whether or not a member of Muslim Brotherhood calls them self a member of al-Qaeda or not, he is a terrorist and must be treated as such. I long for the days when America has a leader that will take the gloves off and get back to destroying terrorist no matter where they are.

This story comes from Time World.

Egypt Accuses Islamist Group of Forming ‘Military Wing’
Egyptian authorities have accused the ousted Muslim Brotherhood of building an insurrectionary military wing to stage attacks against security forces. The accusation comes as mass protests across the country wane but violent attacks increase.

Egypt’s Interior Ministry said Sunday the alleged ”military wing” is based in the city of Beni Suef, south of Cairo. It also named 12 people that belong to the alleged Brotherhood-led unit, reports the Associated Press.

Groups supporting the deposed president Mohammad Morsi have claimed responsibility for a number of attacks in Cairo, using Molotov cocktails and homemade grenades against police vehicles and troop barracks in the city. Within the last month, major incidents have included a jihadist attack on an Egyptian military helicopter in Sinai and a deadly car bombing in Cairo. While an al-Qaeda inspired group has claimed responsibility for most of the attacks, new groups believed to be Muslim Brotherhood supporters have turned to violence as well.

Both secular-minded groups and the Morsi’s Muslim Brotherhood have denounced the current military administration for intimidating opposition voices.

The regime, led by army chief and likely presidential candidate Field Marshal Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, has systematically jailed journalists and opposition leaders and attacked demonstrators.

Obama's State Department NAILED For Allowing Muslim Brotherhood Into America Without Customs Inspection

So, skeptics that insisted there is no collusion between the Obama administration and the operatives of the enemy Muslim Brotherhood should be forced to shut their damn mouths now.

The shocking story comes from The Investigative Project on Terrorism.

IPT Exclusive: Records Prove MB Delegates Skipped Airport Inspections

Newly released records confirm a 2012 Investigative Project on Terrorism (IPT) report that the State Department cleared the way for a visiting delegation of Muslim Brotherhood officials to enter the country without undergoing routine inspection by U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents.

The April 2012 visit came before the Muslim Brotherhood's candidate was elected Egypt's president, although the Brotherhood's Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) had won a plurality of seats in parliamentary elections. The expedited entry is known as a "port courtesy" normally reserved for high-ranking visiting government officials and dignitaries.

The records, marked "sensitive but unclassified," were obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request. They offer few details. The State Department released a one-page document labeled "Compiled References to MB Delegation Arrival and Departure" containing four separate communications between March 30 and April 16, 2012 about the Brotherhood delegation. It is not clear who wrote them or who received them.

"In the coming days, we're going to write down a list of procedures for dealing with MB visits to the United States," an April 16, 2012 entry says.

A March 30 communication offers help dealing with "FJP Delegation and POE [port of entry] Courtesies: Please let the desk know over the weekend if you'd like our help submitting to DHS the 'Special Alerts,' which are used to request that travelers not be pulled into secondary [inspection] upon arrival at a point of entry."

But one member of the Brotherhood delegation, which met with U.S. academic and senior government officials, had been linked to a child pornography investigation in the United States years earlier. Under normal circumstances, he likely would have been subjected to extra scrutiny.

The records released do not address that issue. They do, however, report that "The MB/FJP delegation's scheduler reported that their arrival at JFK on Saturday went very smoothly."

And the official in question, Abdul Mawgoud Dardery, traveled separately and was escorted through security checks in Minneapolis and New York's John F. Kennedy Airport "In response to a request from the MB ... We did not hear anything further from the MB so we assume to departure went smoothly," the records show.

In addition, the Muslim Brotherhood has open connections with Hamas, the Palestinian terrorist group which was created to be the Brotherhood's Palestinian jihadist wing. That fact would have made a secondary inspection for the delegation a natural, if not for the State Department's instructions.

A U.S. official familiar with immigration procedures told the IPT in 2012 that the exemption for the Brotherhood delegation was "extraordinary."

The Brotherhood quickly alienated Egyptian masses, who took to the streets in historic numbers demanding the removal of President Mohamed Morsi. Egypt's army forced Morsi from office after one year and arrested him in early July.

The records' release comes as the IPT has exclusively reported that at least two Syrian clerics have obtained visas to come to the United States for fundraising tours. For instance, Sheik Mohammad Rateb al-Nabulsi is in the middle of an 11-city tour across America co-sponsored by the Syrian American Council (SAC) and the Wylie, Texas-based Shaam Relief. He apparently obtained a visa despite his written edicts which cast all Jews as legitimate suicide bombing targets in Israel and his saying, "Homosexuality leads to the destruction of the homosexual. That's why homosexuality carries the death penalty."

Last spring, Sheik Osama al-Rifai raised $3.6 million during fundraisers in the United States. He later endorsed the Islamic Front, a coalition of groups fighting Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad. Some of the Front's members have al-Qaida ties.

"Every single one of you who give any kind of effort to help his brothers in Syria is a jihadist for Allah," al-Rifai told an audience in Dallas. "Every single one of you who spread the word to raise the awareness among the others about what's happening in Syria is a jihadist for Allah."

The Muslim Brotherhood was founded in Egypt in 1928 with the goal of establishing a worldwide Islamic state. Just weeks before the delegation visited the United States, a Brotherhood spokesman said that goal remained at the forefront of the group's ambitions.

"Concerning the Islamic caliphate, this is our dream, and we hope to achieve it, even after centuries," Mahmoud Ghuzlan said in a February 2012 interview. "It is the right of the Brotherhood that this is one of the pillars of its strategy. We are not concerned about the renaissance of the group only. Rather our first goal is the renaissance of Egypt, then the Arab world and then the Islamic world. This will come gradually."

Why the Obama Administration Won't Call The Muslim Brotherhood Terrorists

Egyptian supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood attack the U.S. embassy in Cairo on Sept. 11, 2012 (Photo: © Reuters)

The Muslim Brotherhood is an enemy of America.  The Obama administration aids them.  That is aiding and abetting the enemy.

The story comes from The Clarion Project.

Why the U.S. Won't Call the Muslim Brotherhood Terrorists

The Egyptian government formally labeled the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist group on December 25, banning all of its activities including protests. The Obama Administration, advised by Brotherhood-friendly groups in the U.S., is unlikely to follow in Egypt’s footsteps in calling a spade a spade.

The announcement came after the government blamed the Brotherhood for the suicide bombing of a police station in Mansoura. No proof was offered of Brotherhood involvement. A pro-Al-Qaeda group named Ansar Jerusalem, based in the Sinai Peninsula, took credit.

The Brotherhood may or may not be involved in that specific bombing in Mansoura, but that doesn’t mean it is peaceful. It has threatened to form a rebel armed force. After the Egyptian military’s crackdown on the Brotherhood began, Egyptians outraged by the response of the U.S. government and media posted eye-opening videos showing Brotherhood members threatening violence, attacking Egyptian security forces and churches, and putting children at risk for the sake of propaganda.

In addition, Brotherhood preachers continue to instigate violence in Egypt and abroad. The organization knows what it’s doing. Why officially engage in violence when individual members and Salafist allies will do so on their own accord, leaving room for deniability?

The labeling of the group as terrorists comes as the government prosecutes former President Morsi and many other Brotherhood operatives. Morsi is accused of involvement in a “terrorist plan” begun in 2005 to send Brotherhood fighters to the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip for training by Hezbollah and the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps.

The Obama Administration has decided to swim against the regional anti-Brotherhood wave, cutting aid to Egypt’s government and siding with the Brotherhood. The result is a realignment in alliances that pushes the Arab world into the arms of Russia.

It is extremely unlikely that the U.S. State Department will similarly designate the Brotherhood as a Foreign Terrorist Organization, even though it meets the qualifications. It is more likely that the administration will condemn Egypt’s latest action.

The State Department says there are three criteria a group must meet to be designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization.

First, the group must be foreign. The Brotherhood’s home base is in Egypt. Its International Organization reportedly moved to Tunisia. Turkey has become its“regional hub” and senior leaders are hosted in Qatar. Check.

Second, it must threaten U.S. nationals or national security, including the American economy. Its regional ambitions for a Caliphate undoubtedly threaten U.S. security. As for nationals, the Brotherhood has justified attacks on U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. It also steadfastly supports the terrorism of Hamas and other groups against U.S. allies.

In August 2012, I had an intriguing exchange with the Brotherhood’s English-language Twitter account. It started off with insulting me as “delusional” and a “scaremonger.” It later posted an article arguing that it opposes violence. I asked whether there were exceptions, such as for U.S. soldiers.

“Unless if they were aggressors and invaders of our lands no matter what nationality? Of course,” was the response.

I followed up by asking if the staging country of the “aggressors and invaders” would be an acceptable target in that scenario. The answer was, “Yes, according to International Law, it’s an act of war.”

Of course, the Brotherhood regularly slams the U.S. and its allies as “aggressors and invaders.” Therefore, as the Brotherhood indirectly admitted, the U.S. can be considered a legitimate target.

Thirdly, to qualify as a Foreign Terrorist Organization, the group must “engage in terrorist activity or retain the capability and intention to engage in terrorist activity or terrorism.”

That’s easy. Hamas is labeled a Foreign Terrorist Organization and Hamas’s charter states that it is the Palestinian “wing” of the Muslim Brotherhood. Hamas changed its name in December 2011 to clarify that it is a “branch” of the Brotherhood. There is even video of Hamas leaders publicly pledging allegiance to the Brotherhood and, specifically, to its jihad.

Brotherhood apologists will argue that the group is not operationally supportive of Hamas terrorism, only ideologically. This is false. For example, the Treasury Department designated the Union of Good as a terrorist entity for financing Hamas. It is led by Yousef al-Qaradawi, the spiritual leader of the Brotherhood.

Israeli aircraft have conducted numerous airstrikes on Iranian rocket shipments to the Gaza Strip through Sudan and Egypt. Hamas does not have an independent structure in Egypt. It is obvious that the Brotherhood networks in Egypt helped manage this route.

It was also proven in court that the Muslim Brotherhood infrastructure in America is guilty of terrorist activity by financing Hamas. The Holy Land Foundation was a key U.S. Muslim Brotherhood component, managed under the Brotherhood’s Palestine Committee, until it was shut down in 2001 for financing Hamas.

When the Holy Land Foundation was found guilty in court in 2008, the Muslim Brotherhood was essentially found guilty. The two are one and the same.

Other U.S. Brotherhood components like the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) and the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT) were labeled unindicted co-conspirators in the trial. In 2009, Judge Solis upheld the labels because of “ample” evidence linking the unindicted co-conspirators to Hamas and the overall terrorism-supporting Brotherhood infrastructure.

Federal prosecutors separately confirmed the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood’s involvement in terrorism in a 2007 court filing. It stated:

From its founding by Muslim Brotherhood leaders, CAIR conspired with other affiliates of the Muslim Brotherhood to support terrorists … the conspirators agreed to use deception to conceal from the American public their connections to terrorists.

The Muslim Brotherhood fulfills all three requirements to be labeled a Foreign Terrorist Organization by the U.S. State Department.

There are three reasons why this has not happened: The Brotherhood’s lobby, ignorance and fear.

The political influence of the Brotherhood lobby is enormous. President Obama even addressed the annual convention of a U.S. Brotherhood entity in September. It continues to advise the administration, just as it did the two before it. The impact can even be seen on the Department of Homeland Security.

The lobby’s influence triggers the second factor: Ignorance. Politicians, media figures, even counter-terrorism personnel are left in the dark.

Then, there’s the third factor: Fear. Designating the Brotherhood as a Foreign Terrorist Organization would be messy.

Dozens of mosques and Islamic centers would be raided and the most powerful Muslim-American organizations would be shut down or, at least, publicly investigated. The outcry of “Islamophobia” would be louder than ever as news cameras repeatedly aired footage of federal agents entering mosques.

The global Brotherhood apparatus would go into anti-American overdrive and some of those refraining from violence would reconsider. It would spark outrage from Muslim governments and organizations around the world, especially from “ally” Qatar and NATO member Turkey.

None of these excuses are acceptable. If a group qualifies as a terrorist organization, it needs to be treated as such, regardless of convenience. The facts speak for themselves: The Muslim Brotherhood is a Foreign Terrorist Organization.

John Kerry, Barack Obama and al Qaeda Only Ones Left Supporting the Muslim Brotherhood In Egypt

This beyond outrage, this is beyond disbelief, this is beyond suicidal.  This is bordering on treason by the POTUS and the State Department.

America is endangered by the Muslim Brotherhood and Egypt has now designated the MB as a terrorist organization and still, America's leader and his Secretary of State stand behind this extremist Islamist group.

Egypt has declared the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization and enemy of the state.  When will America declare Barack Hussein Obama and John Kerry as enemies of our state?

The story comes from Times of Israel.

Kerry concerned by Egypt crackdown on Muslim Brotherhood

US Secretary of State John Kerry on Thursday expressed widespread concern over the military-backed Egyptian government’s crackdown on the Muslim Brotherhood, days after the once ruling group was designated a terrorist organization.

During a phone conversation with Egyptian Foreign Minister Nabil Fahmy on Thursday, Kerry condemned Tuesday’s suicide bombing in Mansoura that killed 16 people and the Thursday bombing that wounded five, but “expressed concern about the interim Egyptian government’s December 25 terrorist designation of the Muslim Brotherhood, and recent detentions and arrests,” according to a statement by State Department Spokeswoman Jen Psaki.

Kerry and Fahmy “agreed that there can be no place for violence in Egypt and that the Egyptian people deserve peace and calm,” Psaki said.

But the secretary of state also “underscored the need for an inclusive political process across the political spectrum that respects the fundamental human rights of all Egyptians in order to achieve political stability and democratic change.”

A US official told Reuters that Egypt was going “way too far” in the crackdown, adding that the Obama administration had no intention of taking any action against Cairo in response, or following suit in labeling the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization.

On Thursday, Egypt’s security authorities launched a sweep of arrests of Muslim Brotherhood members and warned that holding a leadership post in the group could now be grounds for the death penalty after it was officially declared a terrorist organization, stepping up the government’s confrontation with its top political nemesis.

The announcement came as a bomb exploded in a busy intersection in Cairo Thursday morning, hitting a bus and wounding five people. Though small, the blast raised fears that a campaign of violence by Islamic militants that for months has targeted police and the military could turn to civilians in retaliation for the stepped up crackdown.

On Wednesday, Egypt’s military-backed interim government declared the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist group, criminalizing all its activities, its financing and even membership to the group from which the country’s ousted president hails.

The announcement is a dramatic escalation of the fight between the government and group, which has waged near-daily protests since the July 3 popularly backed military coup that toppled President Mohammed Morsi.

Hossam Eissa, the Minister of Higher Education, read out the cabinet statement after long meeting, saying: “The cabinet has declared the Muslim Brotherhood group and its organization as a terrorist organization.”

He said that the decision was in response to Tuesday’s deadly bombing targeting a police headquarters in a Nile Delta city which killed 16 people and wounded more than 100. The Brotherhood has denied being responsible for Mansoura attack and an al-Qaiea inspired group has claimed responsibility for the suicide bombing on Wednesday.

“Egypt was horrified from north to south by the hideous crime committed by the Muslim Brotherhood group,” Eissa said. “This was in context of dangerous escalation to violence against Egypt and Egyptians [and] a clear declaration by the Muslim Brotherhood group that it is still knows nothing but violence.”

“It’s not possible for Egypt the state nor Egypt the people to submit to the Muslim Brotherhood terrorism,” he added.

U.S. Support for Brotherhood Drives Arab World to Russia

The article over at The Clarion Project tells it all:  " It’s an embarrassing moment in history when the Middle East would rather bring back the Soviet Union than rely on today’s United States."

U.S. Support for Brotherhood Drives Arab World to Russia

It’s an embarrassing moment in history when the Middle East would rather bring back the Soviet Union than rely on today’s United States.

U.S. support for the Muslim Brotherhood and the nuclear deal with Iran is propelling the Arab world into the arms of Russia. The Egyptian government, formerly a U.S. ally, willbuy $2 billion in arms from Russia, signaling a strategic realignment in the Middle East that leaves Putin in control.

Egypt’s open embrace of Russia started immediately after the Obama Administration suspended some military aid to the Egyptian government in response to the overthrow of President Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood. While American aid continued unabated after the Islamists took over, it was cut after they were overthrown.

Saudi Arabia is embarking on a similar course. Saudi officials now openly talk to reporters about how their country will be more independent in reaction to U.S. policy. Reports about the acquisition of Pakistani nuclear weapons are met with non-denials. The Saudis offeredRussia a strategic alliance and major oil partnership if Putin abandons the Assad regime.

“We’ve seen several red lines put forward by the president [Obama], which went along and became pinkish as time grew, and eventually ended up completely white,” said Prince Turki al-Faisal, the former director of Saudi intelligence.

The Royal Family of Bahrain, a foe of Iran and the Muslim Brotherhood, feels the same way. Crown Prince al-Khalifa recently said, “America seems to suffer from schizophrenia when it deals with the Arab world.”

He compared the U.S. unfavorably to Russia; a shocking assessment considering Bahrain’s hostility to Putin.

“The Russians have proved that they are reliable friends,” he explained.

This trend didn’t start after the Arab Spring brought the Muslim Brotherhood to the forefront. It started shortly after President Obama took the oath of office. By June 2010, Egyptian and Jordanian officials were privately fretting about American diplomacy, specifically how the administration was reaching out to Syria.

“Only if you’re tough with America and adopt an anti-U.S. stance will the U.S. have a more flexible attitude and pay you,” an Egyptian official anonymously stated.

Similarly, a Jordanian official said the U.S. “sold out the Christians and Druze in Lebanon, sold out the Kurds in Iraq and abandoned the Hariri probe,” referring to the investigation into the assassination of Lebanon’s former Prime Minister. Syria, Iran and Hezbollah are widely thought to be the perpetrators.

It is mostly forgotten that the Iraqi government was confronting the Syrian regime (and therefore, Iran) back in 2009. The Iraqis were threatening retaliation for Syrian support of terrorism, releasing incriminating intelligence proving Syria’s complicity and trying to rally international support for a U.N. tribunal to prosecute terrorism-supporting Syrian officials.

When the Iraqi government asked for U.S. backing, the administration declaredit would not get involved and that Iraq and Syria should solve their differences diplomatically. An Iraqi official claimed that the U.S. privately fought Iraq’s plans for a tribunal. Iraq is now in Iran’s orbit and is an ally of Bashar Assad.

This is great news for Vladimir Putin, who said in 2005 that “The collapse of the Soviet Union was the biggest geopolitical catastrophe of the century.”

“Today, Russia is returning to a number of regions lost during the 1990s,” Mikhail Margelov, chairman of Russia’s Foreign Affairs Committee, proudlystated when talking about the arms deal with Egypt.

Similar statements are coming from the Egyptian side.

“We want to give a new impetus to our relations and return them to the same high level that used to exist with the Soviet Union,” Foreign Minister Nabil Fahmy said.

The Middle East is now divided into three alliances.

The first alliance is Turkey, the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, Qatar and Tunisia. The Obama Administration is most favorable to this one, going so far as to use taxpayer money to spread Turkish and Qatari Islamism.

The second alliance is Iran, Hezbollah and Iraq. The administration is trying to build a better relationship with this bloc.

The third alliance is Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Kuwait. The Gulf country of Oman is trying to stay out of the confrontation with Iran. This bloc is the one most favorable to Israel and the one most vocally disappointed with U.S. policy.

The first two alliances are coming together against the third. Turkey and Iran want to achieve a ceasefire in Syria and their senior officials say they want to “join hands” to become the “backbone of regional stability.” Earlier this month, Hamas announced it resumed relations with Iran.

Russia is now in an ideal position where its friendship is craved by both sides in the Middle Eastern power struggle. Putin is the one with the options. He can pick the Iranian/Turkish side, pick the Saudi/Egyptian side, or play them against each other to his benefit.

It’s an embarrassing moment in history when the Middle East would rather bring back the Soviet Union than rely on today’s United States.

Great News! The Muslim Brotherhood Will Be Part of NYC's Thanksgiving Day Parade

Turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, family, football and ... Sharia Law?

The story comes from The Clarion Project.

Islamists to Join NYC Thanksgiving Day Parade

The Muslim Brotherhood, an extremist organization bent on implementing sharia law, plans to join NYC parade.

The New York City Thanksgiving Day Parade will feature marchers demonstrating against the Egyptian government’s crackdown on the Muslim Brotherhood, according to a U.S.-based group linked to the Islamist movement.

On November 25, the Facebook page of Egyptian Americans for Democracy and Human Rights posted an announcement about “R4abia in Thanksgiving Parade” at 5:00 AM at 56th St. and 6th.

The announcement includes a photo of a large inflatable turkey with the “R4abia” sign on it.

The “R4abia” sign is an expression of solidarity with pro-Muslim Brotherhood demonstrators that clashed with the Egyptian security forces on August 14 near Cairo’s Rabia al-Adawiya mosque.

The Facebook announcement has been shared over 600 times and “liked” over 1,000 times. The organization’s page is full of pictures, videos and statements supportive of the Muslim Brotherhood and former Egyptian President Morsi.

The President of Egyptian Americans for Democracy and Human Rights (EADHR) is Hany Saqr. An Egyptian newspaper recently identified him as a Muslim Brotherhood operative in America.

A 1992 U.S. Muslim Brotherhood phonebook identified Saqr as a member of its Executive Office. A secret U.S. Muslim Brotherhood strategy memo written the previous year said its “work in America as a kind of grand jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within…”

The EADHR website does not list its leadership, but another reported leader and co-founder is Shaker Elsayed, the imam of the radical Dar al-Hijrah mosque in Virginia. He has spoken at EADHR events as a representative. He was taped preaching armed jihad at a Virginia high school in January.

In August, EADHR held a pro-Brotherhood rally in Washington D.C., where chants like “Morsi is my president” were repeatedly heard. An official from the Muslim Brotherhood’s political wing in Egypt, the Freedom and Justice Party, spoke at the event. The party featured the event on its YouTube channel.

The receptionist at the event’s press conference was secretly recorded explicitly saying, “This is a Muslim Brotherhood meeting.” The conference featured Mahdi Bray, another Islamist with a resume filled with Brotherhood affiliations.

Another co-founder of EADHR is Akram Elzend. The event was organized with help from the Muslim American Society, which federal prosecutors say was “founded as the overt arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in America.” Elzend is an official for the Muslim American Society’s branch in Washington D.C.

Khaled Lamada is another co-founder. He was also identified as a Brotherhood operative by the aforementioned Egyptian newspaper. He endorsed the Egyptian presidential campaign of Mohammed Morsi in June 2012.

Lamada who is also Vice Chairman of the board of directors for Islamic Relief USA and was the co-chairman of the annual conference of the Islamic Circle of North America and MAS. He also was a board member of the Islamic Society of Bay Ridge and outreach director for the New Brunswick Islamic Center.

Lamada is also Vice Chairman of the board of directors for Islamic Relief USA and was the co-chairman of the annual conference of the Islamic Circle of North America and MAS. He also was a board member of the Islamic Society of Bay Ridge and outreach director for the New Brunswick Islamic Center.

Most Americans watch the Thanksgiving Day parade to celebrate the country’s history. This year, they’ll also be given a dose of Islamist propaganda from Muslim Brotherhood supporters.

Exposed: Names and Identities of Muslim Brotherhood Operatives in U.S.

From Family Security Matters.

Exposed: Names and Identities of Muslim Brotherhood Operatives in U.S.

El Watan, one of Egypt's most widely circulated and read newspapers, published a report discussing the Muslim Brotherhood's influence over the United States, especially in the context of inciting pro-Brotherhood policies against Egypt's popular June 30 Revolution, which resulted in the ousting of Muhammad Morsi and the Brotherhood from power.

Titled (in translation), "With Names, Identities, and Roadmap... El Watan Exposes Brotherhood Cells in America," it's written by investigative journalist Ahmed al-Tahiri, who begins the report by saying:

In the context of El Watan's ongoing investigation concerning the Brotherhood's cells and lobby inside America that support the regime of the ousted [Morsi], and which intensified their activities to attack and defame the June 30 Revolution, informed sources have disclosed to El Watan newspaper the names and cell entities of the Brotherhood and their roadmap of activities all throughout the United States of America.

The sources said that these organizations, which are spread throughout the States, agitated for and were supportive of the decisions taken by Muhammad Morsi's project to "Brotherhoodize" and consolidate power [in Egypt] and gave a favorable opinion to the general American public that Morsi's decisions were welcomed by the public [in Egypt]. Following the June 30 Revolution, these groups launched a malicious war in order to incite the American administration to take hostile decisions against Egypt, with the aim of bringing back the Brotherhood to the power.

El Watan then goes on to name names, saying that the following activists and entities are Brotherhood operatives working within the United States (reproduced verbatim):

Union of Egyptian Imams in North America, represented by Sheikh Muhammad al-Bani
The Egyptian American Foundation for Development
Dr. Khalid Lamada, New York
Dr. Hassan al-Sayah, Virginia
The Egyptian Network in America, led by Dr. Muhammad Helmi
Dr. Akram al-Zand, Sa'ad Foundation
Muhammad al-Khashab, Head of ART channelsin America
Sameh al-Henawi, member, Business Association of America
Dr. Hany Saqr, member, Egyptian Association in America
Dr. Khalid Hassan, Maryland
Dr. Muhammad Abdel Hakem, Seattle
Dr. Ahmed Ismat al-Bendari, President, Islamic Society of America
Walid Yusari, Chicago
Ahmed Shadid, New Jersey
Ahmed al-Hatab, Indiana
Dr. Muhammad Morjan, Boston
Ramadan Ridwan, Houston
Ahmed Fayez, Las Vegas
Dr. Amru Abbas, member, Egyptian Foundation in Michigan
Dr. Safi al-Din Hamed, Pennsylvania
Dr. Hamdy Radwan, North Carolina
Ahmed Shehata, Director, Egyptian American Organization for Democracy and Human Rights
Dr. Iman Shehata, New York
Dr. Muhammad Amru Attawiya, member, Organization of Islamic Relief in the United States
Dr. Khalid al-Sayes, member, Rebuilding of Egypt Foundation
Dr. Tariq Hussein, member, American Islamic Relations Council (CAIR)
Dr Hisham al-Gayar, member, Egyptian Foundation, Michigan
Amin Mahmoud, Maryland

As a most recent example, El Watan quotes from an American op-ed published on October 16 (just two days before the publication of the El Watan report itself). Titled "Egypt: 100 days later" and written by Ahmed Shehata of the Egyptian American Organization for Democracy and Human Rights, the piece appeared in The Hill, the Capitol's most widely circulated newspaper, published specifically for Congress.

The op-ed is certainly a prime example of pro-Muslim Brotherhood propaganda that actually tries to "shame" U.S. policymakers into returning the Brotherhood back to power in the name of "democracy."

Key excerpts follow:

While the U.S. must consider its own interests in the region, it is baffling and disheartening to think the current administration would choose to discount the suffering that continues to occur on a daily basis as well as the complete violation of democratic principles which it espouses to the rest of the world.... As this past week marked 100 days since the coup and the lives of the Egyptian people continue to be sacrificed, the United States cannot be silent any longer for the sake of their own interests and convenience.... To that end, Egypt represents a golden opportunity for the U.S. to uphold democratic values by pushing for the reinstatement of the democratically elected government, despite their shortcomings. This would aid tremendously in showing the world that, above any one particular physical interest, stands the mantle of freedom and the rule of law.

Anyone familiar with the real happenings of Egypt knows that Shehata's assertions are complete opposites of the truth: the military ousted the Brotherhood in response to the will of millions of Egyptians-the people, the demos, as in democracy-who took to the streets protesting against the totalitarian Morsi government. Moreover, it is the Muslim Brotherhood and their supporters who have been committing numerous human rights atrocities-including the slaughter and persecution of Christians, the torture and murder of many Egyptians (including before the revolution), and the destruction and torching of some 85 Christian churches.

Shehata seems to think that, if the Muslim Brotherhood and their supporters terrorize, murder, destroy, persecute, and betray their nation-which is precisely why tens of millions of average Egyptians rose up against them (though you might not know that following Al Jazeera-led Western media that distorted the popularity of the revolution)-as long as they won "elections" (which from the start many authorities insisted they didn't), then that is all that matters; and, if need be, the U.S. must war with Egypt's military and people on behalf of the ousted terrorists-all in the name of "democracy" and "human rights," as Shehata's U.S.-based Brotherhood front is laughably called.

That such a shameless piece of Muslim Brotherhood propaganda can be published in the most influential and widely read Capitol Hill publication certainly goes a long way in validating El Watan's claims that the Brotherhood has its tentacles all around the United States' points of influence.

Ahhh...Just Rest Easy America...DHS Advisor (and Muslim Brotherhood Infiltrator) Mohamed Elibiary Says MB Isn't a Threat To America

Oh yeah, we can all sleep a helluva lot easier now that Mohamed Elibiary, the latest Muslim welcomed into the Hussein al-Obama government, has declared that the Muslim Brotherhood is no threat to the United States.

Perhaps Elibiary would like to explain this message from the Muslim Brotherhood discovered in America a number of years ago:

In order for Islam and its Movement to become "a part of the homeland" in which it lives, "stable" in its land, "rooted" in the spirits and minds of its people, "enabled" in the live [sic] of its society and has firmly-established "organizations" on which the Islamic structure is built and with which the testimony of civilization is achieved, the Movement must plan and struggle to obtain "the keys" and the tools of this process in carry [sic] out this grand mission as a "Civilization Jihadist" responsibility which lies on the shoulders of Muslims and – on top of them – the Muslim Brotherhood in this country.

The process of settlement is a "Civilization-Jihadist Proecess" with all the word means. The Ikhwan must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and "sabotaging" its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God's religion is made victorious over all other religions. Without this level of understanding, we are not up to this challenge and have not prepared ourselves for Jihad yet. It is a Muslim's destiny to perform Jihad and work wherever he is and wherever he lands until the final hour comes, and there is no escape from that destiny except for those who chose to slack. But, would the slackers and the Mujahedeen be equal.

So, we're supposed to forget those goals from 1991, clown?  The Muslim Brotherhood has followed their strategies to a tee in America and quite frankly, you lie like most people breathe air.  Your an enemy of this country, Elibiary.

The article comes from The Clarion Project.  The message from the 1991 Muslim Brotherhood memo quoted above can be found at The Investigative Project on Terrorism.

Senior DHS Adviser Elibiary: Brotherhood Not a Threat in U.S.

Controversial Department. of Homeland Security adviser Mohamed Elibiary recently said on Twitter that former Egyptian President Morsi, a Muslim Brotherhood leader, is “Egypt’s Mandela,” referring to the famous former President of South Africa that dismantled its racist apartheid system.

Morsi, who promised to be a president for all Egyptians, was ousted after over 30 million Egyptians demonstrated against him for unprecedented power grabs, human rights abuses (including appointing a former terrorist leader as governor of Luxor) and pushing through a sharia constitution for Egypt.

Elibiary, who is now a senior Homeland Security adviser, is a Muslim activist that led the now-defunct Freedom and Justice Foundation. He has spent years as a Texas Republican Party official and was a delegate for Senator McCain in 2008. The Obama Administration placed him on the Homeland Security Advisory Council and promoted him in September.

Elibiary also served on the Department of Homeland Security’s Countering Violent Extremism Working Group and the Faith-based Security and Communications Advisory Committee.

Elibiary was the subject of a damning 37-page report put together by the Clarion Project and other anti-Islamist organizations that included an extensive interview with him. Clarion has a summary of 15 disturbing facts from the report.

In an October 22 tweet, Elibiary praises Morsi as a hero on par with Nelson Mandela:

Until today, Elibiary remains adamant that the Muslim Brotherhood is still the most popular party in Egypt, even though the majority of Egyptians support banning the Brotherhood as a political party.

On October 29, Elibiary endorsed a campaign demanding that the U.S. Embassy in Cairo act to have Mohamed Soltan, an American from Ohio, released from Egyptian custody. Soltan was arrested while working at a pro-Brotherhood media outlet and is the son of an inflammatory Muslim Brotherhood leader named Salah Soltan.

Elibiary recently received attention when he tweeted that the Tea Party, a fiscally conservative political movement, is pushing “Christian Xenophobia.” He also said that Christian Zionists have a “foreign policy worldview through a dispensationalist end-time theology.”

Elibiary also said that he assumed that reporter Aaron Klein is Jewish because of his “demeanor” on television.

There is no subject that receives more attention from Elibiary on Twitter than the Muslim Brotherhood cause. The page is filled with re-tweets of Muslim Brotherhood statements and ridicule of the “Islamophobes” concerned about the radical organization.

What’s it going to take for the mainstream media to pay attention?

Riding to the Muslim Brotherhood’s Rescue

Barack Hussein Obama.  I will now refer to him as the "Tantrum President."  This man is like that kid you see on the floor of the Target store as he screams and flails his arms and legs because his mother won't let him have a bag of fun size Snickers bars.

You see, Barack Hussein Obama MUST get what he wants and if he doesn't he throws a tantrum and lashes out.  We here in America are seeing this right now as the "Tantrum President" has tried to make every American "pay" for the government shutdown.  At the same time, since Tantrum President Obama's best friends in Egypt, the Muslim Brotherhood, were ousted from power he threw another fit and now he's lashing out and cutting aid to Egypt.  I guess the message is clear - Egypt, reinstall Mohammed Morsi and the Tantrum President will turn the flow of money back on.

Who is going to end up giving him his bag of Snickers first?

The story comes from Family Security Matters.

Riding to the Muslim Brotherhood’s Rescue

Was it madness, strategic illiteracy or personal sympathy for the Muslim Brotherhood that prompted Wednesday's startling announcement that President Obama has decided to slash American support to the Egyptian military? Whatever the rationale, his spectacularly ill-advised decision reverses a generation of American statecraft and threatens the peace of an already unstable region.

Ordered by the president himself, the policy review began soon after Egypt's generals reacted to a popular uprising by overthrowing the Muslim Brotherhood-backed government of Mohammed Morsi. Though freely elected, the Muslim Brotherhood routinely acted as though killings, brutality and thuggish behavior were religious obligations. Meanwhile, Mr. Morsi grabbed every lever of power within reach, but couldn't make the trains run on time. When 30 million Egyptians took to the streets in July to demand Mr. Morsi's ouster, Egypt's top generals arrested him. They thus undid Egypt's first popular election in 5,000 years and set the stage for the American aid cutoff.

But every story has two sides. Egypt's well-respected foreign minister, Nabil Fahmy, has publicly compared the election of Mohammed Morsi to that of Adolf Hitler. So which is more accurate: the perceptions of the Obama administration - or the realities of the Cairo street?

As recounted in these pages, I recently joined a Westminster Institute delegation, the first private group of American military and media analysts to enter Egypt since last summer's unrest. We bypassed the pyramids, but talked extensively with generals, journalists, religious leaders and student revolutionaries. Most argued strongly that Mr. Morsi's overthrow was not a classic military coup d'etat, but the continuation of Egypt's ongoing democratic experiment.

Reinforcing their points was our encounter with Amr Moussa, head of the group now charged with writing Egypt's new constitution. He began by pointing out that the old constitution - 90 percent of it drafted by the Muslim Brotherhood - mysteriously omitted any impeachment provisions: "So what other choice did we have?" If Mr. Morsi's worst sin was "interfering with civil society" in the name of Islam, Mr. Moussa described his main effort as systematic democratic inclusion. Not only will religious toleration and separation of powers be established, but each sector of Egyptian society will be represented. At the end of this 6- to 9-month process, the new constitution will be submitted to a general referendum - followed by parliamentary elections.

I recalled his words while listening to Wednesday's magnificent condescension by the State Department spokeswoman. She promised that American aid might be restored if Egypt makes satisfactory progress in restoring democracy. Oh, really? Compared to what - Chicago? Actually, the real reason for the American aid cutoff has nothing to do with supporting the democratic reforms that Egyptians are already building quite nicely for themselves. Instead, the Obama administration, almost from its inception, has been suspiciously supportive of the Muslim Brotherhood and oddly tolerant of its bizarre policy objectives. Remember when James R. Clapper, the director of national intelligence, suggested that the Muslim Brotherhood was essentially a misunderstood Egyptian equivalent of the Rotary Club? The intimate connections between the Muslim Brotherhood and al Qaeda are well understood, and Mr. Clapper is no fool; but he understands all too well how dangerous it is for an intelligence officer to be right when his president is so conspicuously wrong.

Because Egypt is the strategic linchpin of the region - as important to peace with Israel as it is to stability throughout Africa - expect the Russians to be aggressive in recapturing influence lost after the Camp David Accords secured Egypt's position as a key American ally. With characteristically adept footwork, Russian President Vladimir Putin is poised to pick up the pieces left scattered across the Middle East chessboard by an administration as intent on adhering to its adversaries as it is to leading from behind. Assessing the Obama administration's dismal performance from Libya to Syria, K.T. MacFarland on Fox News convincingly argues that the next great American debate will be "Who lost the Middle East?"

Think the price of gas is high right now? Then what happens if Middle East oil supplies are disrupted by military pressures against the Suez Canal? Speaking of the Canal: What happens if our Navy's privileged access to that vital seaway is lost because of Egyptian displeasure over being cut off? And what might happen should Israel suddenly face the prospect of defending a front left relatively peaceful since the 1973 Yom Kippur War?

One last thing: Egypt will shortly be bringing Mohammed Morsi to trial. With Wednesday's aid cutoff, Mr. Obama has given his Egyptian counterparts every incentive to reveal secret dealings and maybe even White House complicity in the rise of Mr. Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood - as well as any high crimes, misdemeanors or other madness that may have been committed.

Obama To Iran: Keep Components, Just Promise Not To Weaponise Them.

By Findalis of Monkey in the Middle

The Obama Regime's policy of Appeasement is coming along nicely with the latest pronouncements to the Iranians.
From Debka

The moderate mien of Iran’s new president Hassan Rouhani has had its intended effect – even before nuclear dialogue began. President Barack Obama had only one demand of Tehran: “Iran would have to demonstrate its own seriousness by agreement not to weaponise nuclear power,” he said Wednesday, Sept. 18. He thus took at his word Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who declared the day before: “We are against nuclear weapons. And when we say no one should have nuclear weapons, we definitely do not pursue it ourselves either.”

The symmetry between the words from Washington and Tehran was perfect in content and timing – and not by chance.

debkafile’s Washington and Iranian sources disclose that it was choreographed in advance.

Obama and Khamenei have been exchanging secret messages through Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said of Oman, who visited Tehran in the last week of August and conferred with both Khameini and Rouhani.

In the last message, carried to Tehran by Oman’s Defense Minister Sayyid Badr bin Saud Al Busaidiat, the US president said that Rouhani’s conciliatory gestures towards Washington needed to be backed up by an explicit pledge not to weaponise Iran’s nuclear program.

That pledge must come from the supreme leader in person and delivered publicly to Iran’s most hawkish audience, Revolutionary Guards chiefs.

And indeed, Khamenei acted out his part Tuesday under TV cameras.

Full details of the exchanges going back and both between Washington and Tehran will appear in the coming DEBKA Weekly 603 out Friday, Sept. 20.

They will confirm that the US president has come to terms with a nuclear-capable Iran and will be satisfied with Ayatollah Khamenei’s word that Tehran will not take the last step to actually assemble a bomb.

Our sources note that in his direct secret dialogue with Tehran, Obama is pursuing the same tactics he used for the Syrian chemical issue with Russian President Vladmir Putin: Moving fast forward on the secret track while pretending that the process is still at an early stage and then a sudden leap to target – a particular form of diplomacy consisting of verbal calisthenics.

This pretense was played out at the G20, when the two presidents acted as though they were irreconcilably divided on the Syrian question, while secretly tying up the ends of the chemical accord.

Obama’s willingness to accept Khamenei’s oft-repeated assurance that his country’s nuclear program is solely for peaceful purposes – while letting its military program advance to the brink – leaves Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu lagging far behind and his Iranian policy with nowhere to go.

At the Israeli cabinet meeting Tuesday, the prime minister said his White House talks with President Obama on Sept. 30 would focus on Iran and his four demands:
  1. Complete halt of uranium enrichment;
  2. Removal of enriched materials from Iran;
  3. Closure of the Fordo enrichment plant;
  4. Termination of plutonium production at Arak.
Notwithstanding the briefing offered by Secretary of State John Kerry when he visited Jerusalem on Sunday, Sept. 15, it looks as though Obama is keeping the Israeli prime minister in the dark on his moves towards Iran.
Who but an idiot would actually believe that Iran would not weaponize any nuclear components that they have in their possession?  Once again Obama is trying to throw Israel under the bus.  But will Netanyahu let him do this to Israel?  Members of the Obama Regime have quietly told Netanyahu that if Israel attacks Iran the US will NOT block any sanctions and/or boycotts done to Israel by the UN Security Council.  Blackmail is the Obama way.

Israel will soon be standing alone in the world without a friend.  The perfect solution for his Muslim Brotherhood Masters.  Isolate Israel, destroy Israel then finish the job started in 1933.  Problem solved and World Peace reigns.

I for one do not believe that Prime Minister Netanyahu would believe anything Obama or Kerry is saying to him.  I do believe he is buying time, but will it be time enough to prevent a nuclear bomb being exploded over Tel Aviv?  I pray it is.

New Spiritual Leader of the Muslim Brotherhood Is In Hiding In London

From The Telegraph.

Muslim Brotherhood leader Gomaa Amin is in hiding in London

The new spiritual leader of Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood is living in hiding in London in fear of state-sponsored assassination, it can be disclosed.

Gomaa Amin is understood to have been made head of the Islamist organisation last week following the arrest of his predecessor in Cairo by Egypt’s military rulers.

Mr Amin, 79, had flown to London about two months ago for medical treatment and as a result escaped detention when the army seized power in a bloody coup.

He is now residing at an undisclosed address from which he is trying to orchestrate the Muslim Brotherhood’s response to the coup.

The presence of Mr Amin in London is a potential headache for British authorities who may be obliged to provide protection for such a senior and controversial figure.

The Muslim Brotherhood supports a caliphate, a unified Islamic state under Sharia law, and has been accused of fuelling religious tensions in the Middle East, particularly with the Christian minority.

Attacks on Christians in Syria and Egypt are highlighted in a new interview with Lord Sacks, the outgoing Chief Rabbi, who spoke of his grave concern for the religious minority.

“I think this is a human tragedy that is going almost unremarked,” Lord Sacks says in an interview with the Telegraph.

“I don’t know what the name for this is, it is the religious equivalent of ethnic cleansing. We are seeing Christians in Syria in great danger, we are seeing the burning of Coptic churches in Egypt.

“There is a large Coptic population in Egypt and for some years now it has been living in fear. I think sometimes Jews feel very puzzled that Christians do not protest this more vociferously.”

Lord Sacks’s comments - while not directly aimed at the Muslim Brotherhood which describes itself as a non-violent organisation - will turn the spotlight on the Brotherhood’s Egyptian leaders, who appear to be making the UK their base in exile.

There will may be concern that Mr Amin’s residency in London will attract militant Islamists. In the 1980s and 1990s, Britain largely operated an 'open-door’ policy allowing extremists to live in exile in London to escape persecution from authoritarian regimes in the Arab world.

So-called 'preachers of hate’ including Abu Qatada, Abu Hamza and Omar Bakri Mohammed used London as a base to radicalise young Muslims, who went on to commit or attempt terrorist atrocities both here and abroad.

Supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood say it is wrong to liken the group to other Islamists which support al-Qaeda and other terrorist organisations.

The Muslim Brotherhood, through its political wing the Freedom and Justice Party, has instructed lawyers in London to investigate whether Abdulfattah al-Sisi, the Egyptian general at the head of the army, who deposed Mohammed Morsi, the country’s democratically-elected president, has committed crimes against humanity.

The team of lawyers includes Lord Macdonald of River Glaven, the former director of public prosecutions, and Michael Mansfield QC, who brought the private prosecution against the killers of Stephen Lawrence.

Legal actions may be brought at the International Criminal Court (ICC) in the Hague or else through a private prosecution in London.

If successful, Egypt’s new military rulers may face having their assets frozen in the West and even possibly arrest should they try to visit the European Union or other countries signed up to the ICC.

Mr Amin is understood to be heavily involved in bringing the case although lawyers refuse to identify individuals over fears for their safety.

Tayab Ali, a partner at human rights law firm ITN Solicitors who is head of the legal team, said: “It is really dangerous for Muslim Brotherhood members in exile in London.

"Nobody anticipated how extreme General Sisi’s interim government has been. It appears to be trying to exterminate the Muslim Brotherhood and wipe it out. Nobody will argue that the lives of the senior leadership are in danger and that includes those in London.”

There has been confusion over who is running the Muslim Brotherhood since the security crackdown. Mohammed Badie, 70, its previous spiritual leader, was arrested last Tuesday morning in Cairo.

His position appears to have been taken by Mr Amin, a deputy leader almost a decade older. Mr Badie defeated him in elections to the senior position in 2010.

The Muslim Brotherhood has refused to confirm the identity of its new spiritual leader but Mshariq.com, an Arabic news website, reported that an emergency meeting had taken place following Mr Badie’s arrest and Mr Amin given the role. It is not clear if he is an interim leader.

Mona al-Qazzaz, the Muslim Brotherhood’s spokeswoman in the UK, described Mr Amin as a senior leader who had arrived in London earlier in the summer.

She said: “He is one of the senior leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood and he is here in London. He was here for medical checks two months ago.”

Mr Amin, a father of three, has been an official member of the Muslim Brotherhood since 1951 and for many years has been pursued by the Egyptian authorities.

He was jailed for six years between 1965 and 1971 for opposing the government of Gamal Abdel Nasser and was later put on a wanted list following the assassination of Anwar Sadat in 1981 - part of a mass round up of Muslim Brotherhood leaders - prompting him to live in exile in Saudi Arabia for four years

He was a vocal supporter of the Arab Spring and actively voiced calls for Sunni Muslims, who predominantly support the Muslim Brotherhood, and Shiites to unite against “a single enemy who [is] American Zionist”.

The scale of support for the Muslim Brotherhood in the UK is unclear but it is estimated that between 500 and 1,000 Egyptians living in London voted for the party through ballot at the Egyptian embassy in London. The majority of the 6,000 Egyptian citizens in London voted for alternative parties in the elections last year.

Don’t Rescue the Muslim Brotherhood

Believe me, there is NO ONE more on top of what the Muslim Brotherhood really is and what needs to happen and not happen in the Middle East than Frank Gaffney, Jr.  This is an article that must be shared with everyone you know - we have to force the Main Stream Media to stop carrying the water for Obama on this one issue.

The story comes from Family Security Matters.

Don’t Rescue the Muslim Brotherhood
by FRANK J. GAFFNEY, JR.

Ever since President Obama came to office, his administration has cultivated relations with, legitimated, emboldened, empowered, funded and even armed the Muslim Brotherhood. This policy has amounted to our changing sides in what is best described as the War for the Free World.

As documented in a free online, video-based course I produced last year (www.MuslimBrotherhoodinAmerica.com), one of the factors behind this strategically disastrous - and largely unnoted - reversal is the success the Brotherhood has had, going back at least to the Clinton administration, in penetrating and running influence operations against our country. The Brothers call it "civilization jihad." And it has enabled them to establish not only an array of front groups to insinuate themselves into American civil society institutions and governing agencies. It has also largely obscured the true nature of this organization and the threat it poses to our nation, allies and interests.

The success of such patient, stealthy subversion is much in evidence at the moment in the response to events in Egypt on the part of some prominent Democrats and Republicans, alike. In recent days, President Obama and Senators like Jack Reed, Democrat of Rhode Island, and Republicans John McCain, Lindsay Graham and Kelly Ayotte of Arizona, South Carolina and New Hampshire, respectively, have discussed the need to cut off assistance to those in Egypt now battling the Muslim Brotherhood.

The principal justification offered for doing so is that the Egyptian people elected the Brotherhood to run their country after America's longtime ally, Hosni Mubarak, was overthrown, with the support of the Obama administration. It is further being intensified by the Brothers' success in forcing the government to resort to violence to establish order throughout Cairo and other cities.

The trouble is that the bloodshed now taking place in Egypt - including that of Christians at the hands of Islamists who have torched or otherwise damaged more than eighty churches in recent days - is just a foretaste of what is to come if we do as the aforementioned leaders have in mind and rescue the Muslim Brotherhood. And some of that blood will inevitably be ours.

This unhappy prospect is inevitable because of a fact obscured by the Brotherhood's successful influence operations, and ignored at our peril: We know for a fact that the Muslim Brotherhood has as its mission the worldwide imposition of Islam's toxic, brutally repressive and anti-constitutional supremacist doctrine known as shariah. And yes, it means here, too.

Lest there be any confusion on that point, consider the 1991 mission statement of the Muslim Brotherhood in America: "It is a kind of grand jihad in eliminating and destroying Western civilization from within...sabotaging its miserable house from within...by [our] hands and the hands of the believers so that God's religion is made victorious over all other religions." The strategic plan from which this passage comes was introduced into evidence during the successful 2008 federal prosecution of Muslim Brotherhood operatives in Dallas, Texas in connection with their fundraising in this country for the organization's Palestinian franchise: the designated terrorist organization known as Hamas.

Senators McCain and Graham have also provided bipartisan political cover to the Islamists' efforts to takeover other countries, as well. These include, notably, Libya and Syria. The former has been a debacle of the first order; the murderous attack on our missions and personnel in Benghazi is but a taste of what is to come there and beyond. And these lawmakers are working with Team Obama to inject the United States into the latter's civil war, with the predictable practical effect of helping the Brotherhood and/or al Qaeda take over that country next.

As in these other places, if the Muslim Brotherhood's American friends have their way in Egypt - most immediately, by cutting off U.S. aid or other ties to its military - the killing will not stop. It will, instead, mean those dying will increasingly be people who have historically looked to us as allies and partners. And they will be dispatched by jihadists bent on our destruction, as well.

It seems the military and tens of millions of ordinary citizens in Egypt have no intention of rolling over, as their counterparts have done in Turkey. In that case, an Islamist regime has used elections to destroy democracy and institute an increasingly shariah-compliant order - complete with the incarceration on trumped-up charges of much of the leadership of the Turkish armed forces. Having tried and failed to effect a similar transformation in Egypt, the Muslim Brotherhood seems now determined to crush its opponents through full-scale civil war. Were the United States to cut off Egypt's military, it would simply encourage and perhaps enable the Muslim Brotherhood to pursue that course.

Even worse from our point of view, the United States will likely drive the Egyptian military back into the arms of the Russians - and possibly this time the Chinese - folks who would love to displace us and secure close relations with a nation that sits astride the strategic Suez Canal. These are, after all, countries now seen, unlike America, to be reliable allies, not fair-weather friends.

The Muslim Brotherhood is our enemy. Insisting on its restoration to power - either immediately or through another round of premature elections - will be perilous for this country and for people in Egypt and elsewhere who do not want to submit to the Islamists and their anti-freedom shariah agenda.
