This would be like Ted Bundy, back during his spree of mass murders of teen age girls, raising a fuss that a teen aged girl relative of his was kissed without her consent.

Mahmoud Abbas, the one so-called world leader who actually has the blood of innocents on his hands from Islamic terror attacks is screaming out over the supposed death of a young Pali boy.

Death of Palestinian youth 'cold-blooded assassination', says Mahmoud Abbas


A 15-year-old Palestinian boy apparently shot in the back as he ran away from Israeli soldiers was the victim of a "cold-blooded assassination" that damages the already faltering Middle East process, Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestinian Authority (PA) leader has said.

Wajih Wajdi al-Ramahi was shot outside Jalazoun refugee camp, near the West Bank city of Ramallah, eye-witnesses said. He was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) says it is conducting an investigation into Saturday's incident, partly to establish whether Wajih was short by one of its soldiers.

Mr Abbas put the blame squarely on Israel.

"This was a cold-blooded assassination perpetrated by the occupation regime," he said in a statement issued by his office. "The Government of Israel bears responsibility for this organized terror against innocent children ... This policy is destructive for the peace process."



There were conflicting accounts of the death at a mourning ceremony on Sunday inside the camp, which is north of Ramallah.

The dead boy's father, also called Wajih, who works in the PA prime minister's office, said his son had been shot "like a bird" without pretext by an Israeli sniper outside a supermarket, where he had gone to buy Coca-Cola.

That was contradicted by several youths who said they had been present at the shooting. They claimed Wajih was among a group of 17 youths playing football in the yard of a nearby school, run by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency.

The youths claimed they had left the school en mass to retrieve the ball after it was kicked outside the yard towards an army watchtower, which guards the nearby Jewish settlement of Beit El. They came under fire from one of a group of soldiers stationed below the tower who began shooting unprovoked, they said.

However, Abdul Aziz Abu Hadba, 29, owner of the Al-Amal supermarket, which is near the school, said the shooting happened during clashes between Israeli forces and stone-throwing Palestinian youths. The confrontations had forced him to close his store, he said, pointing to a bullet hole in the shop front.

"They were throwing stones at the army," he told The Telegraph, standing near a spot strewn with rocks and the ashes of a recent bonfire . "There are frequent clashes here and I close the door when it happens because the army shoots stun bullets in front of the shop."

Mohammed Ramahi, 15, the dead boy's cousin, acknowledged that Wajih "sometimes" threw stones at the army.

An IDF spokesman confirmed soldiers were in the area at the time "on a routine mission to stop Palestinian rock throwers".

Some 17 Palestinians and four Israelis have been killed in violent incidents since peace talks, brokered by John Kerry, the US secretary of state, re-started in the summer.

This is no coincidence.  Time for the Israelis to start gutting the West Bank, perhaps even putting a target on the back of Abbas.

A Palestinian sniper shot and killed an Israeli soldier, Sergeant Gabriel Koby, 20, in the city of Hebron this evening. Koby, of Tirat Carmel, was said to be on patrol near the Cave of the Patriarchs when he was struck in the neck. It is the second killing of an Israeli soldier in two days.

"The IDF is currently searching the area for the perpetrators. Movement in the immediate Hebron vicinity is temporarily restricted in order to prevent the perpetrators from fleeing the city," the Israel Defense Forces stated.

Video of the immediate aftermath seen by The Long War Journal shows over a dozen IDF soldiers rushing to aid Koby, who convulses at moments. Efforts were made to save the soldier by transporting him to a hospital in the Jerusalem area, but he succumbed to his wounds.

"The soldier came essentially lifeless - with a pulse but no blood pressure. We performed extensive resuscitation efforts but his injuries were too severe," a doctor at Shaare Zedek Hospital said.

In a statement on the incident, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned: "Those who try to displace us from the city of our fathers [Hebron] will achieve only the opposite. With one hand we will fight terror and with the other we'll strengthen settlement."

Also today, a rocket fired from the Gaza Strip reportedly landed in southern Israel.

The killing of Gabriel Koby comes a day after Israeli authorities announced that an IDF soldier had been abducted and murdered by Palestinians in the West Bank. The soldier, Tomer Hazan, of Bat Yam, was lured by a coworker, Nidal Amar, to the Bayt Amin area in the West Bank, where he was killed. Amar had hoped to use Hazan's body to bargain for the release of one of his brothers, Nur al Adin Amar, who has been imprisoned since 2003 for involvement in terror-related activities as part of Fatah's Tanzim group.

In 2012, no Israelis were killed in terror attacks in the West Bank.

Israeli Foreign Minister (former) Laughs At PA's Abbas and His Threat To Quit

Poor little Mahmoud Abbas...his little plan to have the U.N. designate "Palestine" as a legitimate state failed miserably and so now the leader of the Palestinian Authority is throwing a hissy fit about going back to negotiations with the Israelis and the poor little man got so frustrated the other day that he threatened to quit as PA Chairman.  And with that news, recent Foreign Minister Lieberman of Israel basically said GOOD!  Bring it on baby!  It can't happen fast enough!   Hahahaha.  I love it.


Of course, we best not forget those plans that Hamas has for taking over the West Bank...if that happens then good old Mahmoud Abbas or more correctly, Abu Mazen, will probably end up feeding the fishies in the Dead Sea.

Lieberman on Abbas' Threat: Please Quit, We Can't Wait


Yisrael Beiteinu head Avigdor Lieberman, until recently the Foreign Minister, reacted with joy Friday as Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas threatened to quit if negotiations do not resume. Abbas has refused to negotiate in absence of several Israeli concessions, including a complete freeze on construction east of the 1949 armistice line.

According to Lieberman, Israel "can't wait" for Abbas to follow through on his threat.

"We congratulate Abu Mazen [Abbas] for reaching the correct conclusion, that only his leave from the PA leadership will allow the diplomatic process to resume," Lieberman said.

"We anxiously await the official announcement from the Muqata regarding his retirement," he added. "There are many alternatives among the Palestinians with whom we could hold a diplomatic dialog."

"It's Abbas' remaining [as leader] that will ultimately bring Hamas and other radicals to power in Judea and Samaria," he warned.

Abbas told Haaretz that if negotiations do not resume after the elections, "I will take the phone and call (Prime Minister Binyamin) Netanyahu. I'll tell him...Sit in the chair here instead of me, take the keys, and you will be responsible for the Palestinian Authority."

Abbas has demanded a construction freeze that would include a ban on natural growth in major Israeli towns that it has previously been assumed would remain Israeli under a diplomatic agreement. He also has required that Israel free PA resident terrorists, allow the PA to arm its police force more heavily, and agree in principle to his major territorial demands. At the same time, he has refused to recognize Israel as a Jewish state or to end incitement to terrorism, and continues to support the "right of return" for millions of people descended from Arabs who fled pre-state Israel to move to Israel.

Abbas' term in office expired in early 2009, but he has declined to hold new elections, arguing that PA residents should vote for a new leader only after Hamas-led Gaza reunites with the Fatah-led PA in Judea and Samaria.

Hamas Preparing For Civil War Against Abbas and the Palestinian Authority

It appears that Hamas has become emboldened beyond any level in the terror organization's history - ever since the Muslim Brotherhood essentially took over the military might of Egypt, the jihadis from Hamas have sought to expand and flaunt any muscle they may have.  First, they decided to take on Israel with the endless barrage of rockets and missiles that eventually spurred the Israeli retaliation.  Then, we saw Hamas bring in their exiled leader onto the soil of Gaza as well as Egyptian officials - almost daring Israel to take out those visitors.  And now, we see Hamas deciding to take on the power and authority of Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestinian Authority.

So, more than likely we will see the power play for Gaza and the West Bank once again - Hamas vs. Fatah for ultimate power.

Hamas Preparing for War against Abbas, Reports Sunday Times


Hamas is preparing to duplicate its 2007 civil war in Gaza and has instructed terror cells in Judea and Samaria to get ready for a military coup to oust Ramallah-based Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, according to a London Sunday Times based on Israeli intelligence sources.

The orders reportedly came from Hamas’ supreme leader Khaled Mashaal, who recently visited Gaza to celebrate what the terrorist organization claimed was a victory over Israel in last month’s missile war.

Citing unnamed officials in the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet), the London newspaper said that Iran is behind the plan for a coup. According to the Sunday Times, Iran wants to have an allied militia in Judea and Samaria, parallel to Hamas in Gaza and Hizbullah in Lebanon.

Tawfik Tirawi, a former PA intelligence director and now a senior member of Abbas’ Fatah party, told the newspaper, "Hamas wants intifada and will take over the West Bank.

“We’re on the verge of catastrophe,” he said.

“Bibi [Netanyahu] understands the geopolitical changes in the Middle East. No way would [he] give up an inch of the West Bank - he is convinced that the intelligence assessment about a Muslim Brotherhood [Hamas] takeover is solid,” according to the London newspaper.

The report provides evidence that Prime Minister Netanyahu is making it clear that Israel is not to be shown as being weak. The intelligence information may have been one of the reasons, if not the major cause, for his recent and unusually solid nationalist statements for building new homes for Jews in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria.

It also contradicts mainstream media claims that Netanyahu's statements were part of an election campaign to attract nationalists away from the Jewish Home party.

The information published in London totally eliminates the idea promoted by leftist commentators that Netanyahu’s’ policies are designed to strengthen Hamas at the expense of Abbas, who has advertised himself as a “peace partner.” Abbas has won international support for demands that preclude negotiations on future borders while at the same time promoting unity with Hamas.

Palestinian Authority's Abbas Sets the Stage For Palestine's Statehood In September Via U.N. Mandate

The duck are lining up in a row...oh wait...perhaps I should say the terrorists are lining up in a row...as the Palestinian Authority's Mahmoud Abbas has written an article for the New York Times (what other U.S. newspaper would publish the slop, right?) detailing how legitimate it will be for the Palestinians to be granted statehood in September of this year by the United Nations.

He added that the admission of a Palestinian state to the UN would internationalize the conflict as a legal matter, rather than just a political one, and that it would also allow Palestinians to pursue claims against Israel at the UN and International Court of Justice.

"Our quest for recognition as a state should not be seen as a stunt; too many of our men and women have been lost for us to engage in such political theater. We go to the United Nations now to secure the right to live free in the remaining 22 percent of our historic homeland because we have been negotiating with the State of Israel for 20 years without coming any closer to realizing a state of our own," the PA president said. "We cannot wait indefinitely while Israel continues to send more settlers to the occupied West Bank and denies Palestinians access to most of our land and holy places, particularly in Jerusalem. Neither political pressure nor promises of rewards by the United States have stopped Israel’s settlement program."

Abbas reiterated that negotiations remain the first option, but that their failure has prompted the Palestinians to turn to the international community. To this end, he asserted that Palestinian national unity was a crucial step and that in contrast to what Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has argued, "the choice is not between Palestinian unity or peace with Israel; it is between a two-state solution or settlement-colonies."

Well, Mr. Abbas, we agree that your move to gain a Palestinian state via the backdoor at the United Nations is no stunt. We know you are deadly serious. We know you are also serious about destroying Israel. We also know you are serious about joining with your Iranian brothers in trying to destroy America. We also know you are an islamic terrorist. We also know you are a flat out liar.

So, let me get this straight...Abbas wants the United Nations to grant statehood to the Palestinians in September and in that process wants the U.N. to set the borders of his new country. So, here's my question. Why doesn't the U.N. just carve out a big section of Jordan and Egypt for this new country? Well? Why does the U.N. have any more right to carve land out of Israel in September than it does to take land from Egypt or from Jordan? Why not just swing current Gaza down until it has Alexandria as its capital? What? The Egyptians wouldn't go for it? Hmmm....so I guess we won't see any issue when the Israel don't go for it either, right?

After 63 years, Palestinians have hope that this September the United Nations will recognize a Palestinian state on 1967 borders, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas wrote in an op-ed published in the New York Times on Tuesday.

The PA president wrote that many have questioned the value behind recognition of statehood if the Israeli occupation continues, while others have accused the Palestinians of derailing the peace process.

"We believe, however, that there is tremendous value for all Palestinians — those living in the homeland, in exile and under occupation," Abbas said.

He noted that the last time Palestinian statehood was addressed at the UN General Assembly was when the international community had to decide over the partitioning of two states - which it approved in 1947.

"Minutes after the State of Israel was established on May 14, 1948, the United States granted it recognition. Our Palestinian state, however, remains a promise unfulfilled," Abbas wrote.

The Brilliance of Benjamin Netanyahu

The headline of this article at Breitbart could be quite stunning to some and I'm sure to a few Israelis, quite unsettling but in it, I see the absolute brilliance of Benjamin Netanyahu. The headline reads: " Netanyahu eyes twice-monthly head-to-head with Abbas." Let's take a quick look at some of the article, then I'll explain:

The premier said that if the resumed negotiations are to be successful, it is "vital that they be conducted between leaders" and in the greatest possible secrecy, the official added.

On Thursday, Netanyahu began selecting a negotiating team to accompany him to Washington, his office said.

Okay, here's why I think Netanyahu is outsmarting EVERYONE in the mix in regards to Middle East peace talks. Let's look at each of the players:

Abbas and the Palestinian Authority: This is an annual deal for Abbas - he raises a fuss about Middle East peace talks and typically he takes the initiative making false claims that he really wants peace and then tries to set up the Israeli Prime Minister to become defensive and say "no" off the bat ....then Abbas gets to run to the U.S., to Europe, to Arab nations and to his own people say he tried but the Israelis are the roadblock to peace. Then he sits back and waits for western money to flow in. Well, Netanyahu is brilliant here in that he has turned the tables and has come across as the one that REALLY wants the peace talks and in it, he knows Abbas really doesn't - and it will be Abbas who will look like the resistance to the process.

Hamas and Iran: Netanyahu knows that if he can get Abbas into "secretive" talks about peace that it will drive the Iranian mullahs and their militant proxy, Hamas, absolutely nuts. You wait, you will see the Iranians screaming about how this just cannot be!

United States: Barack Hussein Obama played his cards way to early in showing that he supports the Palestinians in this process and it was evident to Netanyahu that Obama was setting him up to be the bad guy. Now, it is seen how Netanyahu is the one pressing for progress, that Netanyahu is the aggressive participant for peace and if Obama portrays Israel in a bad light, well, the world will see that Obama is NOT a non-partisan facilitator

Back to Abbas: Do you REALLY think that a proven Islamic terrorist like Abbas wants to spend hours and hours each month, now proposed to be twice a month, with a bunch of Israelis? Hell, the likes of Abbas will cringe at the idea. And at the same time, we know by now that the more "chummy" that Abbas appears with the Israelis, the more Hamas will target him - Netanyahu is basically setting Abbas up for some serious retaliation by his own people.

It's my estimation that Benjamin Netanyahu is a man amongst boys in all of this. He has already turned this process into his - it is his initiative, it is his peace talks - the boy wonder, Barack Hussein Obama, is seen as an inexperienced outsider in this and as for Abbas, he never wanted peace talks and now he is backed into a corner where he has to do it.

Netanyahu eyes twice-monthly head-to-head with Abbas


Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is proposing twice-monthly meetings with Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas after direct peace talks resume next week, a top Israeli official said on Friday.
Netanyahu has told several government ministers of his proposal, which has already been passed on to US officials ahead of next Thursday's talks relaunch in Washington, the official said.

The premier said that if the resumed negotiations are to be successful, it is "vital that they be conducted between leaders" and in the greatest possible secrecy, the official added.

On Thursday, Netanyahu began selecting a negotiating team to accompany him to Washington, his office said.

He is aiming to form a "small team that can carry out under his supervision speedy, serious and detailed talks," a statement said.

Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman, an ultra-nationalist who has talked down the prospects for the new negotiations, will not be part of the Israeli delegation, press reports said.

Lieberman's spokesman declined to comment.

Thursday's summit will be the first direct negotations between the two sides since the Palestinians broke off talks in December 2008 after Israel launched a devastating offensive against the Gaza Strip.

Late on Thursday, veteran US Middle East envoy Dennis Ross arrived in Israel for a final round of shuttle diplomacy ahead of next week's meeting, army radio said.

He will be seeking to narrow the differences between the two sides, in particular over the future of a partial Israeli freeze on settlement construction in the occupied West Bank, outside annexed Arab east Jerusalem, which is due to end on September 26.

Israel Releases 224 Palestinian Jihadists

Good grief. Israel released 224 convicted jihadists back to Palestine today - most of them members of Fatah and all of this was to offer some sort of good will gesture to Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas. Well, isn't that just great?! This, of course, is one more remaining ploy by outgoing Prime Minister Olmert, who never really got it when trying to deal with the savages called the palestinians. Here's some of the details from Breitbart:

At midday, the first two buses crossed the checkpoint.
Tinny-sounding, triumphant music was cranked up as the buses came into sight. Many of the ex-detainees waved flags of Abbas' Fatah movement and draped the iconic Palestinian black-and-white checkered scarf around their necks. From the checkpoint, the buses are to head to Abbas' headquarters in the nearby town of Ramallah for a welcome ceremony.

Now, you may ask, why won't this be effective towards a lasting peace? haha. Well, I'll give you two reasons:

1. This release of prisoners to Fatah seems dependent on the assumption that Abbas actually can control the actions of ANY jihadists in the West Bank or Gaza. I think everyone would agree that Abbas has NO CONTROL over anything that either Hamas or Islamic Jihad does in regards to Israel.

2. The ceasefire between Hamas and Israel is set to lapse so as these 224 prisoners land in the palestinian territory, we should see Hamas start lobbing rockets into Israel within the next 24 to 48 hours.

Well hell, let me throw in a third reason - name ONE country in this world that will actually give Israel credit for this release? That's right, none will. Israel will still be seen as the oppressor of these "poor" palestinians by the West and certainly all of the Arab and muslim countries around the world.

One last question from me. When was the last time that Mahmoud Abbas actually delivered something of substance to Israel for the release of pali prisoners? Seriously, at what point in this exchange is Abbas guaranteeing no attacks on Israel? What does Israel GET from Abbas in all of this other than some empty promise of his considering peace?

Eighteen of the prisoners were to be released to the Gaza Strip.
Initially, Israel was to free 227 Palestinians. However, Israeli Prison Service spokesman Yaron Zamir said only 224 were freed and the release of three others was still under review.
An Israeli group had unsuccessfully tried to block the release in Israel's Supreme Court, saying freeing prisoners would harm Israel's security. The release already had been delayed from its original date last week during the Muslim Eid al-Adha holiday.
Israel says Palestinian officials asked for a postponement because Abbas was on a pilgrimage in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, and wanted to personally greet the freed prisoners. The Palestinians denied making the request.
Israel is holding peace talks with Abbas' government.

Obama Jumps The Gun, Calls Palestinian President

Okay, a lot of people are going to give me shit for jumping on Barack Hussein Obama for this little phone chat he had with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas about Middle East peace initiatives but I will explain in a little bit here. Here's some details from the brief article at Breitbart:

A Palestinian negotiator says U.S. President-elect Barack Obama has called the Palestinian president and told him that peace is a vital interest for Israelis and Palestinians.
Negotiator Saeb Erekat says the phone call took place Tuesday.
Erekat says Obama told President Mahmoud Abbas that he will spare no effort to facilitate a peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians.

Okay, there you have it. Now, for one thing, the Middle East is still probably the most volatile region of the entire world and Obama, who isn't even in office yet, has shown his hand - he sent a message to Abbas that he, Obama, is desperate for a peace agreement. It's my opinion that Abbas hung that phone up, smiled, and thought to himself...."this is a guy I can use to get what we want."

Now, here's the other reason that Obama jumped the gun. The Israelis are going to be putting in place a new prime minister and there are indications that Benjamin Netanyahu just may be that person - and Netanyahu has already stated that he will NOT conduct peace talks with Abbas under the current set of parameters. So, Obama has played his hand and one of the critical players in the scenario is certainly not on the same page.

Think about it. What if Abbas is thrown out of office? That would mean that Obama has called a leader who is a non-player, with Obama showing his hand before he even knows the result. Bottom line here is Barack Hussein Obama made his intentions known to one of two leaders involved in the peace process who might not even hold office and Obama's intentions may conflict with the other leader that may possibly be the other player in a few months.

Obama calls Palestinian leader, says peace vital

RAMALLAH, West Bank (AP) - A Palestinian negotiator says U.S. President-elect Barack Obama has called the Palestinian president and told him that peace is a vital interest for Israelis and Palestinians.
Negotiator Saeb Erekat says the phone call took place Tuesday.
Erekat says Obama told President Mahmoud Abbas that he will spare no effort to facilitate a peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians.
A year of U.S.-backed talks has not yielded tangible results and the fate of the negotiations is uncertain.
Israel is holding elections in February. Opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu has said he would not continue peace talks in the current format. Also, Abbas faces a new political showdown with rival Hamas in January when the Islamic militants say his term expires.

Hamas Arrests Abba Representatives In Gaza

Well, the palis are acting like the idiots they are again as Hamas arrested Mahmoud Abbas' top representatives in Gaza in retaliation for Fatah's detaining of Hamas reps in the West Bank. Let's look at the details at Reuters:

Hamas security forces arrested Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas's top Fatah representatives in the Gaza Strip on Friday, ratcheting up tensions between the rival factions.

Hamas security men detained Ibrahim Abu an-Naja and Zakaria al-Agha, who were appointed by Abbas to oversee Fatah in the Gaza Strip after Hamas Islamists seized control a year ago, Fatah officials said.

Hamas leader Sami Abu Zuhri said the arrests in the Gaza Strip were meant to put pressure on Abbas's security forces to release Hamas activists detained in the occupied West Bank.

As I said the other day, these two groups will be doing group hugs in a photo session in a few days as they always end up doing. At the same time, Hamas has a lot more on its mind than a few of its members being held in the West Bank - they 've had two bombings done on their "troops" within the last two weeks and neither of the attacks even came from Israel. Haha.

Hamas arrests Abbas representatives in Gaza: Fatah

GAZA (Reuters) - Hamas security forces arrested Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas's top Fatah representatives in the Gaza Strip on Friday, ratcheting up tensions between the rival factions.
A day earlier Abbas ordered his Fatah-dominated security services in the West Bank to release all pro-Hamas activists, according to the official Palestinian WAFA news agency. Hamas said the activists had not yet been freed.
Hamas security men detained Ibrahim Abu an-Naja and Zakaria al-Agha, who were appointed by Abbas to oversee Fatah in the Gaza Strip after Hamas Islamists seized control a year ago, Fatah officials said.
Hamas forces also arrested three local governors appointed by Abbas, whose West Bank-based government is backed by the United States and other Western powers.
Hamas leader Sami Abu Zuhri said the arrests in the Gaza Strip were meant to put pressure on Abbas's security forces to release Hamas activists detained in the occupied West Bank.
He accused Abbas's forces of trying to "liquidate" Hamas and described the Gaza arrests as "temporary and limited".
Despite Abbas's order on Thursday, Abu Zuhri said none of the Hamas men have been freed. "When political arrests end in the West Bank, everything else will come to an end," he said.
Fatah official Abdallah Abdallah condemned the Gaza arrests, saying they "constitute the destruction of any Palestinian and Arab call to end the schism" between Hamas and Fatah.
Tensions between the factions spiked a week ago after a series of bombings in the Gaza Strip, one of which killed five Hamas members and a girl. Hamas blamed Fatah for the blasts, a charge Fatah denied.
Hundreds of Palestinians have since been arrested in week-long tit-for-tat crackdowns by Fatah in the West Bank and Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

July 23rd, to be exact. That is the date that Sen. Barack Hussein Obama will meet with palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. Here's the brief announcement from YNET:

All I can say about this is ....a fish out of water. And that I would love to be a mouse in the corner during this meeting. I just saw an AmericaOnLine poll last night that showed the results of the question:

Who do you think brings a better grasp of foreign policy? Barack Obama or John McCain

The results at the time I voted show McCain at 63% and Obama at 37%.

I would like to ask the 37% where they base their vote from but I will write that off as dyed in the wool Dems who would have said Obama to any question. Let's face it - Obama will be a doe in the headlights in this meeting, I just hope he doesn't open his big mouth and make things worse. We saw Nancy Pelosi fly over to Syria and embarass herself over there in front of Assad - she did it to ruffle the Administration's feathers but in the end, she looked like a fool.

More than likely, Obama will learn a valuable lesson and that is that you don't meet with any Arab unless you have some power in your back pocket. Abbas will view Obama as the messenger for some inane message - he will use Obama like a little tool or mouthpiece. Obama will be willing to do his bidding in that any announcement by Obama will be viewed as him being in touch with foreign affairs.

I doubt that Obama will make a major gaffe here so it will probably be the kind of visit that doesn't make huge headlines but it will be interesting to see just how uncomfortable Obama is in this setting.

Hamas, Abbas At Odds Over When Abbas' Rule Ends

Hamas says that Mahmoud Abbas' term as Palestinian president ends in six months while Abbas' supporters say he is at the helm through 2010. I'd say that's a bit of a difference! Hahaha. Look at this line from the article at Breitbart:

As for Hamas and Abbas - this is like the absolute worst Hollywood marriage in recorded history. I've never seen two factions so "on again", "off again" in my entire life. One day they are killing each other, the next day they are celebrating together. In my opinion, the chances of Hamas and Fatah getting along, let alone the Israelis and any of its neighbors are probably as good as every islamic jihadist laying down his weapons and suicide belt today and converting over to Baptist.

Gaza's Hamas rulers say their recognition of Abbas' presidency—a key ingredient for any future reconciliation—will end in six months. After that, they say, Abbas' term ends and they plan to hold elections for a new leader.
Abbas aides maintain he can stay in office until 2010.
The debate is not just about fine print. The Hamas deadline coincides with President Bush's target date for at least the outline of an Israeli-Palestinian peace deal. Few expect Bush's Mideast peace initiative to bear fruit unless Abbas can restore his rule in Gaza—an outcome that would probably require renewed deal making with Hamas.
Abbas has been in control of only the West Bank since Hamas seized Gaza by force a year ago, and he'll probably keep his truncated job no matter what Hamas decides. But failure to lead his people to independence, along with a decision by Hamas to withdraw its recognition, would further weaken an already unpopular president and cement the rift between Hamas and Abbas' pragmatic Fatah movement.
"If the year ends without a peace deal, as people were promised, then Abbas and the entire Palestinian Authority, which was established to bring about this solution, would come under a big question mark," said political analyst Ali Jerbawi.
The dispute stems from conflicting interpretations of legislation.
Abbas was elected president in January 2005, winning 62 percent of the vote in the West Bank and Gaza. A year later, Hamas defeated Fatah by a landslide in parliamentary elections. The Basic Law, a forerunner to a Palestinian constitution, says both president and parliament are elected to four-year terms.
Before Hamas was elected, parliament passed a law stipulating that future presidential and parliamentary elections be held simultaneously. However, the subsequent Hamas-controlled parliament never amended the Basic Law to include this new clause. The upshot: Fatah believes Abbas has the right to stay in office an extra year.
Until now, Hamas has not challenged Abbas' position as president—even allowing him to negotiate peace with Israel.

Abbas Back Tracks, Now Wants New Relations With Hamas

This, folks, is what we call a "leader" running scared. The Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, is calling for renewed relations with Hamas even though he has staunchly said before that he would not talk with them unless they gave up the Gaza Strip. Hmmm...you don't suppose the fact that Iran's power play in Lebanon which has placed Hezbollah more or less in power there had anything to do with this "revelation" do you? Old Mahmoud (the Abbas one) has obviously seen the writing on the wall that the Persians are going to own the Middle East soon and he better at least be friendly with the winning team.

Bottom line is this: Abbas has decided that in the long run he is safer being an ally of Hamas and the rest of the world that has accepted him for turning his back on Hamas haven't really done him any favors. Here's the real reasons for the about face, from my perspective:

1. Abbas has seen Hamas get away with EVERYTHING in the past six months with little retribution from Israel and thus Abbas has actually come to fear Hamas more than Israel.

2. As mentioned above, the chances of more and more Iranian influence and power over the region grow each day and this is Abbas' chance to hitch a ride on the rising star of Ahmadinejad

3. Abbas has finally woken up to the "surround Israel" strategy of the Iranians that is intent on Hezbollah owning the northern border of Israel, the Syrians controlling the Golan Heights and Hamas having Gaza - the only piece of the puzzle missing is the West Bank and that is Abbasland - he in essence is a marked man if he doesn't change his allegiance.

Anyway, Abbas has flip flopped more in the past 5 years than John Kerry so this could change again but I'm sure we'll see some sickening group hugs between Fatah and Hamas once again and there will be Olmert watching, knowing he has wasted the past year talking to Abbas about peace.

Palestinian leader urges new dialogue with Hamas

Abbas gave no details about his proposal, including whether he would personally take part in talks or would seek mediation by Arab states. It also was not clear from his wording whether he had dropped all preconditions.
If Abbas were to start negotiating with Hamas, he could jeopardize the broad international support that he gained after Hamas seized Gaza in five days of fighting with Abbas' security forces. The West hoped its backing would lead the moderate Abbas to a peace deal with Israel.
But the Palestinian president has engaged in months of peace talks with Israel that have yielded no tangible results. Earlier Wednesday, Abbas' chief negotiator said it would take "a miracle" to meet the year-end target for a deal set by President Bush.
A close Abbas aide, Nimer Hamad, said circumstances dictate that the Palestinian factions resume dialogue.
"The failure of the peace process, the tragic situation in Gaza, the entire Palestinian situation require thinking courageously of an exit," Hamad said. "We hope that Hamas will respond positively to the call."
In Gaza, Hamas spokesman Taher Nunu greeted Abbas' offer with warmth. "We welcome this call by the President Abbas to launch a national dialogue, and we consider it a positive step," he said.
Abbas' speech started off by criticizing Israel for continued construction in West Bank settlements and other acts that he said dampened peace hopes.
Then he called for a new "national dialogue" among Palestinians that could "end the internal division that harms our people, (our) cause."
Abbas said if talks succeed, "I will call for new legislative and presidential elections." Abbas won a presidential ballot to succeed Yasser Arafat, who died in 2004, but Hamas swept Abbas' Fatah movement out of power in 2006 parliamentary elections.
Over the past year there have been several efforts, notably by Egypt and later by Yemen, to repair the rift between the rivals, but to no avail.
The lack of apparent progress in peace talks with Israel has troubled the Palestinian leader.

Israel Defies Rice, Plans To Go Ahead With West Bank Development

Good. I'm not usually in favor of a foreign country going against the wishes of the U.S. government but in this case, Secretary of State Rice is completely wrong, thus Israel has decided to go ahead with the expansion of building in the West Bank. The whole peace prospect in the Middle East is a sham and everyone knows it, from Israel to the PA to the U.S.

Now of course, the blogs and the MSM will be full of condemnations today by the palis - look for Abbas to call again for some million idiot march on the border of Israel or some threat to not be a nice guy anymore. Well, the hell with him. From the article:

Israel announced plans to build 1,400 new apartments in the West Bank and disputed part of Jerusalem, despite warnings by Palestinians and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice that they could hurt peace efforts between the two sides.
While the announcement Monday could further damage the standing of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak moved on Tuesday to bolster the moderate leader, saying he will consider opening the Gaza Strip's crossings if Palestinian militants there stop bombarding Israel with rockets.
The Israeli announcement on new construction came shortly after Rice wrapped up a two-day visit and left for Amman to meet Abbas. In the Jordanian capital, Rice said Israel should stop such construction projects, but to no avail.
The move reflects the political weakness of Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, who continues to support construction in disputed areas because it allows him to keep his fragile coalition intact _ though it does damage to Abbas' position.
Olmert insisted Israel is building only in places it intends to keep even after a peace treaty is signed.
At a U.S.-hosted peace conference in November, Israel and the Palestinians agreed to relaunch long-stalled talks and base negotiations on the 2003 "road map" peace plan. The U.S.-backed proposal calls on Israel to freeze all settlement activity and the Palestinians to rein in militants.
But Israel does not consider construction in east Jerusalem to be settlement activity because the Jewish state annexed it after capturing it in the 1967 Mideast war. The international community disagrees, however, because no one has recognized Israel's annexation.
East Jerusalem is home to 180,000 Jews who live in neighborhoods built after the war. An additional 270,000 Jews live in West Bank settlements, most of them in three major blocs.
Palestinians charge that the ongoing construction is sabotaging peace efforts. Although they tacitly agree that Israel will, in the end, retain some or all of these areas, the bulldozers, cranes and work crews are tangible evidence to Palestinians that peace negotiations are not helping their cause, further complicating Abbas' position.

Israeli Troops Kill 2 Jihadists Planting Bomb At Gaza Border Fence

Good news! The ever-alert Israeli troops on the Gaza border put a little downer on the plans of two jihadists (Fatah's boys) to place a bomb at the Gaza/Israel border fence. Apparently, Fatah, Hamas and Islamic Jihad are having a bit more trouble messing with this fence than they had when they were able to torch and bomb through the fence in front of the Egyptians! Haha. Anyway, that's two less muj to have to worry about in Gaza tonight. From the article:

Israeli troops kill 2 Gaza gunmen on border-medics

GAZA, March 29 (Reuters) - Israeli forces killed two Palestinians who tried to plant a bomb on the Gaza Strip's northern border fence on Saturday, Palestinian hospital officials and a militant faction said.
They identified the men killed near the town of Beit Hanoun as members of al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, an armed wing of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah faction.
An Israeli military spokesman had no immediate comment.
Earlier, an Israeli air strike in nearby Gaza City wounded three Palestinians, hospital officials said. It was not immediately clear if they had militant affiliations.

Abbas At Arab Summit: ' Put Arab Peacekeeping Troops In Palestine '

Pali leader Mahmoud Abbas gets more insane everyday. At the Arab summit going on in Syria, this is his latest pearl of wisdom:

Abbas has called in the past for international peacekeepers in the Gaza Strip. But his call Saturday at an Arab summit in Damascus is the first time he has urged Arab countries to send forces. He asked Arab countries to "think seriously of Arab and international protection for our people."

So, here's a guy the world has basically said is the true path leader to peace in the Middle East saying that he wants ARAB soldiers in Gaza and the West Bank as "peacekeepers." Let me get that straight - he wants Syrian and Saudi and Egyptian soldiers walking around with weapons 2 feet from the Israeli border?!! How about tanks Abbas? You want the Arab countries to send in a couple hundred tanks too?

This guy takes a bigger dumb pill every day. And you know, I've personally had it that the U.S. even talks with this piece of shit. The guy is not only a terrorist leader, he's an imbecile. We are the world's greatest power and we waste our time continually with this muppet (yes, he does remind me of Ernie on the Muppets).

Okay, I have one question for you Abbas, that you probably didn't bother to think about. What happens when an Egyptian soldier for your "peacekeeping" force gets his head blown off by a Hamas jihadist? Huh? What happens then? Idiot.

At Syria summit, Abbas calls for Arab troops in Palestinian territories

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas called on Arab leaders assembled at a Damascus summit Saturday to send peacekeeping troops to the Palestinian territories, as Arab leaders debated the future of a 2002 peace inititiative. Abbas spoke at the opening of a deeply divided annual Arab League summit that leaders of the U.S.'s top allies boycotted to protest Syria's hard-line stances in nearly every crisis in the Middle East.

Abbas took a sharply pessimistic tone over Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations launched in November. "The coming couple of months are decisive. If we don't reach a solution by the end of this year, it means the whole region will be on the verge of a new era of tension and loss of confidence in peace," Abbas said. He blasted in particular Israeli settlement expansion and recent Israeli military assaults in the Gaza Strip aimed at stopping Qassam rocket fire on Israeli towns. "It has become clear that the Israeli government is imposing on the ground the political solution that it wants," Abbas said. "Negotiations cannot continue under the Israeli bulldozers swallowing our land and building settlements and under the daily Israeli military operations." He urged the Quartet group of international mediators, who include the United States, to pressure Israel to meet the requirements of the U.S. road map peace plan, which include a settlement freeze. The requirements also call on the Palestinians to take action to stop militant violence.

Abbas Reveals Plan To Ruin Israeli 60th Anniversary - 3 Million Palis Camped On Israel's Borders

Well, it's official. The Palestinian Authority's head honcho, Mahmoud Abbas has finally gone completely and utterly mad. Israel's 60th Anniversary is coming up in May - look at this excerpt from the article here at DEBKA that describes Abbas' plan to spoil the Israeli celebration:

The Palestinian leader has circulated guidelines for three million Palestinians to leave their homes on the West Bank, Gaza, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon on May 14 and march on Israel’s borders, including the Green Line. The march is to take place a week after Israel’s Independence Day on May 8, 2008. If Israel obstructs their passage, they will strike camp and live in tents until Israel surrenders and lets them through.

You know, this is supposed to be the World's champion for Middle East peace calling for this keystone kop circus in May. This is the dude that Condi Rice, Olmert and half the Western World thought was going to get the job done in the peace process. I've said it all along that this guy is a bonafide terror leader. And now he's lost what's left of his fucking mind.

Now, read the introduction to Abbas "2008 Return" manifesto:

The introduction goes on to state: “Neither the Jews nor the international community can stand against the desire of the Palestinian people to exercise their right of return to their homeland and to their homes, land, holy places [Jerusalem] and heritage.”

Now, let me say one thing here on a positive note. If you figure that 3 million palis will actually follow this order, they will all be massed at the Israeli border. Now, any rational Hamas, Islamic Jihad and Fatah jihadist won't go anywhere NEAR the Israeli border...so that means all of the civilians will be at the border and all of the bad boys will be staying back at home. See where I'm going with this? Yep. The Israelis seize this chance to fly over the civilians and hit every bloody mosque, office building and home that Hamas and the others are hiding in. No risks, no world outcry, lots of dead jihadists.

Abbas Goes on the Warpath, Tries to Steal the Show from Hamas

3. Jewish friends are called upon to assist in resolving the Palestinian refugee problem.

5. Palestinian holders of foreign citizenships, especially US and European, are to charter planes for flights to Israel or neighboring countries on May 14, 2008, as well reserving passage on tens of ships to dock at Israeli ports on this date.
6. Personal invitations will be extended to all world leaders for their support.
7. Kings and leaders of Islamic countries will be invited, as well as members of the Israeli government and Knesset. Special invitations will be sent to the US president and members of the Senate.
The document ends with an appeal to the Arab nation, especially the Saudi King Abdullah, to support the operation politically, diplomatically and materially.
DEBKAfile’s Palestinian sources report that Mahmoud Abbas intends to submit his ambitious master plan to the summit of Arab rulers meeting in Damascus March 29.
There is no knowing how much support he will win from Arab governments or whether the different Palestinian communities will rise to his call. The whole plan may simply fold for lack of response – or not. Abbas’ main objectives appear to be to upstage the warlike Hamas and throw a wet blanket over Israel’s anniversary celebrations.

We Want Our Money Back!

I hate to say "I told you so" but this story cannot be allowed to slip under the rug. Fatah's (whoops, I guess it's the Palestinian Authority's) leader, Mahmoud Abbas has all of the world's billions of cash on its way to him and now, NOW he has decided it is time to reconcile with Hamas.
Condi Rice, Madame Secretary of State, if I can take a moment to speak for the American people...WE WANT OUR $555 MILLION BACK!
How many times can Abbas pull this charade on the West? How stupid are our government officials? How many times must I say it here: You can NOT trust Mahmoud Abbas. He is a jihadist, he is a liar, he is a criminal. He is NO better than Hamas.
For what seems like years now, the West has bought into the fabrications of Abbas and Fatah that they can be moderate, that they can work out a deal with the Israelis. And quite frankly, Olmert of Israel has bought into the fibs of this pig as well. So, when it's all said and done, the United States, at the insistence of Condi Rice, sends half a billion dollars to the Palestinian Authority on the ground that the PA will isolate and disregard Hamas. And the PA has laughed in the U.S. face and now will make "nice" with Hamas.
We've been had again. I'm waiting for one of the Presidential candidates this week...to stand tall and proud and assure the American people that we won't be duped like this on his watch.
The fact of the matter is - there never was a nation of "Palestine", there never will be a nation of "Palestine." I personally would arrest Abbas on charges of fraud and theft and put him in prison for a very long time.

'Peace partner' ready to make nice with Hamas

JERUSALEM – In a major policy speech today, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas urged dialogue with rival Hamas, calling for a "new page" to be started with the terror group.
"There is no way for any party here to be an alternative to the other, and there is no room for terms like coup or military takeover, but only for dialogue, dialogue, dialogue," Abbas said, referring to Hamas at a large rally marking the 43rd anniversary of his Fatah organization.
Abbas called for "a new page, writing in its lines a credible agreement based on partnership, on life, on our homeland and our struggle to liberate it."
He said new elections should be held in an effort to reconcile the warring Hamas and Fatah factions in hopes of improving life for Palestinians in the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip.

Abbas' calls for dialogue fly in the face of the U.S. and Israeli policy of isolating Hamas and negotiating with Fatah, which the U.S. considers moderate.

Earlier this month, the U.S. pledged at a donors conference in Paris about $555 million in aid to Abbas over the next year. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice already asked Congress to approve $400 million of the aid package, stating the massive new proposed funding was meant to boost Abbas against Hamas

"We have to bring down this bunch, which took over Gaza with armed force and is abusing the sufferings and pains of our people," Abbas said last month after Hamas opened fire on a Fatah rally in Gaza.
Since the Annapolis summit, Fatah officials have been indicating their organization may reconcile with Hamas.
