World Cup of Soccer in 2022 Goes To Qatar, Not America...Obama Can't Figure Out Why No One Likes Him

This outta sound familiar...remember when the International Olympic Committee dropped the Chicago bid for the 2016 Summer Olympic Games even after Barack Hussein Obama made a personal trip to help seal the win? Well, the FIFA (Federation International Football Association) has turned down the U.S. bid for the World Cup Soccer tournament in 2022 so our magnetic, our world adoring, our Messiah to the world President is now 0 for 2 in nailing down major events for the U.S.

And soccer fans in America are devastated.

From the article at DAWN:

US President Barack Obama said FIFA made the “wrong decision” on Thursday when selecting Qatar over an American bid to host the 2022 World Cup in what will be a major setback for football in America.

“I think it was the wrong decision,” Obama said at the White House, joining thousands of disappointed Americans who watched the announcement from Zurich, where a video message from him had been part of the US presentation.

“Obviously we’re very disappointed. To come up short is very difficult to take,” said US Soccer Federation president Sunil Gulati, who called the defeat “a setback in moving the sport forward” in a long-skeptical US market.

Only minutes after Qatar was announced as FIFA’s choice for 2022, frustrated US supporters vented their feelings on US Soccer’s Twitter site.

“Gutted”, “USA Soccer is set back another 20 years” and “Qatar? Wow. Soccer actually just got less relevant in the US” were among the shocked reactions.

In the wake of a recent FIFA bribery allegations, fans were less than thrilled about losing the chance to host for the second time.

“Qatar? Time to stop playing along. They can come to us when they want us to care about soccer again. They can bribe us next time,” tweeted one angry fan.
I just can't figure this out (by the way, get your sarcasm masks on now)...the American people elected Barack Hussein Obama because he assured us that with him at the helm, the WHOLE world was gonna not only think we were cool again here in America but they would be eager as little beavers to show America honor and platitudes! The whole world was gonna like us again if only we elected Obama!

Well, we elected Obama and not only doesn't the world like us any better than before, now 60% of the Americans hate each other too. Way to go, Barry! The Great Uniter, my ass.

Obama calls FIFA choice of Qatar “wrong decision”

WASHINGTON: US President Barack Obama said FIFA made the “wrong decision” on Thursday when selecting Qatar over an American bid to host the 2022 World Cup in what will be a major setback for football in America.

“(Hosting in 2022) was the equivalent of putting your foot on the accelerator. From that point it’s an opportunity lost. Will we get there? I’m confident we will. It’s going to take longer. It’s going to take more work.”It was the second major sport bid loss for Americans in as many years.

Obama attended last year’s International Olympic Committee vote on the 2016 Summer Games site when his hometown, Chicago, was ousted on the first ballot.

In 1994, the US World Cup set a record by selling 3,587,538 tickets for 52 matches and sparked the launch of Major League Soccer, which has survived for 15 years and lured England star David Beckham to play in Los Angeles.

The MLS website featured several posts along the lines of “FIFA=corruption” and “If anyone needed confirmation that the whole process is rigged, there ya
go”.

US television commentators played up the heat projections and relatively small land area for Qatar and quickly relegated coverage of the World Cup selection behind basketball and American football.

Alexi Lalas, a former US star who handled commentary on ESPN’s US telecast of the FIFA announcement, brought up the idea that Qatar might need a backup host site only moments after the choice was revealed.

“If Qatar can’t do it, it’s coming right to the United States,” he said.

“The United States is waiting in the wings.” The United States acted as a fill-in host for the 2003 Women’s World Cup after planned host China was struck by a SARS epidemic. Lalas guarded against US fans becoming too downcast.

“The sky is not falling,” he said. “You dust yourself up. Onward and upward. It has never been an easy road for US Soccer. This just continues that.”Tweeters were not as optimistic about the future of football in America.

“Enough with how much USA Soccer matters. When you lose the World Cup bid to friggin’ Qatar, trust me, it means nothing,” posted one US fan.

“That is why soccer will never grow into a huge sport in the USA. Not even FIFA cares about usa soccer,” wrote another.

Gulati wanted more time to ponder whether or not US Soccer would consider a bid for 2026 and was circumspect about the politics of FIFA’s decision.

“There were reports of some alliances. The numbers would seem to bear that out,” Gulati said.

“It’s politics. It’s friendships and relationships. It’s tactics. There are far too many permutations. I’m not smart enough to figure out how all those things played out. I don’t know the rationale of all the voters.” – AFP

So Why Did the Mastermind Behind the Ugandan World Cup Bombing Do It? Well, Silly...It Was Out of Hatred of...America!

These clowns around the world are like a video clip of propaganda coming out of the Leftist mouths in America - the same old same old of anger against the tyrannical and evil United States of America - the great Satan! The suspected mastermind of the bombing at a Ugandan restaurant/bar the night of the World Cup Soccer finale which killed patrons while they watched the big screen tvs has now announced that he did it because of his anger and rage at America.

From the article at Reuters via Breitbart:

One of the suspected masterminds of last month's bomb attacks on Uganda's capital Kampala said on Thursday his anger at the United States spurred his involvement in the plot, adding that it was intended to kill Americans.

"I was reluctant to pick on Ugandans. My rage was with the Americans whom I deemed responsible for all the suffering of Muslims around the world ... we thought they are the ones who planted the TGF (interim government) in Somalia," Luyima said.

He said he regretted the loss of Ugandan lives when three bombs ripped through a bar at a rugby club and an Ethiopian restaurant where soccer fans were watching the World Cup final on July 11.
These fools are too yellow to admit who they are REALLY enraged with and that is ALL infidels - anyone that doesn't believe in the pedophile Mo and the moongod are their targets - it's just fashionable for these jihadis nowadays to make this into a singular attack on America - well, as any idiot could have determined before the bombing, it would have been a miracle if more than a couple of Americans died in the attack and more than likely that at least 70% of the death would have been Ugandans...but this piece of shit stands there and says America's the reason, we are the target.

It would be a bit like me making a trip to Somalia and blowing up a Somalian convoy and then uttering to the world that I did it because I can't stand Iran and what the Iranian mullahs are doing.

Only in Islam will you see such delusion that you bring death to dozens of innocent civilians, innocent bystanders but if, in your mind, you are carrying out some sort of symbolic jihad, you'll enter the gates of Paradise. This is insanity masquerading as a religion.

Suspect says rage at U.S. led him to plot Ugandan bombs

(Reuters) - One of the suspected masterminds of last month's bomb attacks on Uganda's capital Kampala said on Thursday his anger at the United States spurred his involvement in the plot, adding that it was intended to kill Americans.

Issa Ahmed Luyima, 33, a former librarian, was one of four Ugandan suspects paraded in front of journalists by the east African nation's Chieftancy of Military Intelligence (CMI) before he made a public confession.

Somalia's al Shabaab Islamic militants later claimed responsibility, saying the attacks were revenge for Uganda's deployment of peacekeeping troops in Somalia. Ugandan soldiers form the backbone of the 6,300 strong AMISOM force.

Ugandan Police say at least two of the bombs were detonated by suicide bombers while a third was likely triggered by a mobile phone.

Luyima said he chose the Ethiopian restaurant as a target because the blasts were likely to kill Ethiopians and westerners.

Hardline Islamists accuse Somalia's beleaguered interim government of being a puppet of the West and Ethiopia. Ethiopia invaded its neighbor in late 2006 to force an Islamist movement out of Somalia's capital Mogadishu.

"That was my rage and that's why I picked on the Ethiopian restaurant because of that mix-up of Ethiopians and westerners, Ethiopians are also a big part of our enemy," Luyima said.

Three Kenyans have been charged with several counts of murder and terrorism for their roles in the attacks.

Luyima and his accomplices have not yet been charged but have confessed to planning and facilitating the attacks, including renting a house to host the suicide bombers, carrying them to their targets and planting a fourth bomb that was defused by the police before it exploded.

The head of the CMI, Brigadier James Mugira, said Uganda was delivering on its promise to hunt the perpetrators down and bring them to justice.

Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb Threatens To Attack World Cup Games In South Africa

The al Qaeda linked terror group in North Africa, al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb, has issued a statement that they intend to carry out a terror attack on the World Cup soccer games this summer in South Africa. Now, this is a bit like Hamas saying that they will conduct an attack on Tokyo but let's look at the targets they site in their threat, from the article at CBS News:

"How amazing could the match United States vs. Britain be when broadcasted live on air at a stadium packed with spectators when the sound of an explosion rumbles through the stands, the whole stadium is turned upside down and the number of dead bodies are in their dozens and hundreds, Allah willing," reads a statement the group published in a recent issue of the Jihadi online magazine Mushtaqun Lel Jannah (Longing to Paradise).

You know, when you look at that statement a time or two, it encapsulates the mind of an islamic terrorist - the randomness of death in a stadium that could be filled with thousands of people from all over the world - sure, they mention the Americans and Brits but these terrorist swine know that an attack like they describe would kill many who are South African, Spaniards, Italians, Nigerians, etc. This is the mantra of islam - our way or death, no matter who you are. And the truly evil part of it all is this: what the radical islamists truly believe is that anyone, ANYONE that is even present in the midst of infidels is a righteous target for death as well.

It's my feeling that over the years now, the entire world has become no numbed down by these constant threats of violence by islamists that a story like this literally gets buried on some third rate news blog like at CBS News. What does this mean? In another five years, are we all going to just accept violent threats like this? Is it going to be like the Obama administration and America explaining away the incompetent who occupies the Vice President's chair with laughing and jokes?

Qaeda Groups Threatens to Attack World Cup

The North African terror group al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb has threatened to attack this summer's World Cup games in South Africa.

The statement also highlights recent actions by the terrorism group such as the December suicide bombing that killed seven CIA employees and a Jordanian agent at a base in Eastern Afghanistan last December and the Christmas Day bombing attempt that resulted in the arrest of Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the Nigerian who has been cooperating with the FBI and providing information about his contacts in Yemen and the al Qaeda affiliate that operates there.

Special Report: The Christmas Day Terror Attack

"Al Qaeda, who managed to deliver 50 grams of explosives to the Detroit plane, after infiltrating dozens of U.S. security barriers, al Qaeda, who enabled brother martyr Abul Kheir (Abdullah Asiri) to get into the palace of Mohammed bin Nayef, al Qaeda, who humiliated the world's greatest intelligence apparatus through the operation of Mujahid Abu Dujana al-Khorassani (Humam al-Balawi), who shattered the pride of the CIA and the Jordanian intelligence combined," the statement says. "Al Qaeda will have a presence in the games, Allah willing."

In addition to the U.S. and U.K. teams, the teams representing France, Germany and Italy are also on the group's list of targets.

"All those countries are part of the Zionist-Crusader campaign against Islam," the statement says.

The group says they will use some undetectable explosive that will be able to circumvent security checkpoints at the games. The statement appears to directly challenge FIFA's president Joseph Blatter.

"All the security checks and X-ray machines that America will be sending after reading this article would not be capable of detecting how those explosives made it into the stadium and that for a simple reason that we will be announcing in due course," the statement says. "So are your preparations for this event up to scratch, Mr. Platter? (sic)"

South Africa had announced last October that its security forces had foiled an al Qaeda plot to carry out a terrorist attack during the 2010 football World Cup. According to reports published then, South Africa's National Intelligence Agency, senior police forces and American agents jointly conducted the operation, which led to the arrest of a number of suspects linked to the group in Somalia and Mozambique working on a plot to carry out bomb attacks during the games.
