Huffington Post Contributor Explains That Christmas Day Al Qaeda Would Be Bomber Is Just A Poor Wittle Victim (boo hoo)

Good grief...the fact that people like Patricia DeGennaro actually can function to the point where they can breathe oxygen amazes me. I'm thinking that this putz DeGennaro, actually was going to put up an article making fun of new security regulations due to the attempted terror attack on Christmas Day but the Leftist, appeaser, whack job side of her got the better of her computer and this article here at The Huffington Post was spawned.

I caution you...grab your portable blood pressure monitor and check it regularly as this spineless ingrate of an American spouts her ridiculous rant about how Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab is just some poor, misunderstood young boy who was crying out to the world for help and attention and since he didn't get any, of course his only option was to try and kill over 250 people. Here's some of this woman's insanity:

Based on Abdulmutallab's background and upbringing, no one can understand why he took it upon himself to wage deadly jihad. Never mind that he was young, impressionable, and, more importantly, feeling abandoned. Marginalization is the number one reason young men (and some women) join terrorist groups. They feel they do not belong in society, have no voice or future and lack the ability to do anything about their fate or the injustices in the world.
Every email that was unearthed in his database supports this fact. No one knows what may have stopped him from trying to commit this crime, but one thing is for sure - had he been able to reach out to someone more positive than Anwar al-Awlaki the extremist Yemeni cleric, his vain attempt to die and bring a plane load of people with him may have been nothing more than a bad dream.

Well, Ms. DeGennaro, some of us CAN understand why he took it upon himself to wage deadly jihad - he's a fucking muslim, you idiot and the Qur'an calls for jihad. If you'd get your head out of your ass and your cup of tea in your one bedroom NY apartment fool....you'd wake up to the tens of thousands of jihadis JUST LIKE this asswipe who have killed hundreds of thousands of people across this world.

Back to the ravings of this lunatic writer:

Sitting alone in his room, this innocent looking young man watched as his one mentor and friend, albeit a megalomaniac, was bombed by US planes into oblivion. While the West cheered another Al Qaeda "victory," he mourned his perceived loss - alone.
This does not justify his actions, but what is justifying ours? These continued bombardments of people in Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Lebanon, Gaza, Pakistan and Yemen are obviously not giving us the peace and security we crave. In fact, the result is to the contrary. We need to find another way to stop what seems to be a global insurgency waged by people who feel not only invisible, but also powerless in the current world system.
In their minds they cannot change their lives and, by the looks of things, they are right. Because they have not armies or large weapons, they us a life, with seemingly little meaning, to serve as a solution to misguided delusions. The bottom line here is that people, yes people - Muslim, Christian, Jews and others - are being recklessly used in the great game of this wayward grab for domination that one only finds in a Superman movie.
Whether you're using radioactive bombs or human ones, the means do not justify the ends. Violence begets nothing but more violence. They bomb us, we bomb them. Everyone is growing angry and hungry for more and more revenge. Unfortunately, the world cannot seem to end this gruesome destiny.

Well, there you have it...the coup de gras....good old moonbat Patricia played the "blame it all on the U.S. military" approach for why this jihadi tried to take out that plane. The old "we bomb them, they bomb us" line is wearing thin, Ms. DeGennaro - that failed line of thinking is what people with no brains use when they want to submit an article to The Huffington Post.

Do yourself a favor, bitch...pick up some books on Jihad. Pick yourself up a Qur'an. Start educating yourself about islam, you fool. Now, after you've read up about the Holy War that the islamists in this world have embarked on, when you have it clear in your peanut sized brain what the World Caliphate is...and when that light bulb comes on inside that cobweb and latte' infested brain of yours that world submission is the goal of islam, then we can discuss this again.

NOTE: Anyone out there that has any kids attending New York University, please note that Patricia DeGennaro is on staff there. G_d help your kids.

My New Year's Resolution: No to Nicking Knickers

Patricia DeGennaro
Assistant professor at New York University’s Center for Global Affairs

Remember when your mother told you to put on clean underwear when you travel? Well my advice is to just 'forgettaboutit" and take the Brittney Spears route -- go without. Thanks to twenty-three year old Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, not only will your water bottle be confiscated at all airports around the world, but, as the Brits would say, your knickers will be nicked as well.
Yemen is the next to receive the brunt of this ego induced and age old unproductive cycle of destruction by bomb. Ironically, it will get its own deadly tools to assist in the aggressors cause. Yemen, who has reached the status of a country that cannot feed its people, is not eligible for food, but is a noteworthy recipient of U.S. weapons, which it can freely use on its impoverished people.
Afghanistan, Pakistan, and countless others are also receiving military support to do the same despite the fact that large numbers of their populations are destitute and need work not weapons. None of that matters now, however, because we have all lost our minds preferring to kill dozens, including our own, to get but a few "enemies."
Not to worry though, The New York Times tells us, "By UN calculations, the number of deaths that could be clearly linked to NATO[/US] forces has dropped significantly, from 38 per cent last year to 22 per cent this year. The Taliban, meanwhile, caused 68 per cent of deaths ... three times that of NATO[/US]." This is supposed to make us all feel better about death and war. NATO and its partners including the US are bad, but not as bad as they are! Reminds me of an argument I had with my sister -- when I was two.
When I look at the photos of Abdulmutallab, my heart sinks. Those emails retrieved by intelligence agents tell me our society lost this bright young man to twisted criminals that take life; Adulmutallab's life in this case, by manipulation for their own ill defined means.
For our part, we failed to give him a safe option or another venue to vent. No doubt since our moral authority has also been lost by the misuse of power through acts of torture and use of deadly weapons on innocent people, he felt he could not trust anyone in the West.
In atonement, it is our duty to address the roots causes of these failures. Learning why this young man turned to violence, taking responsibility for our part and working to disarm and mitigate violence are our tasks. Finding ways to create a non-hostile world is our duty.
Changing the dynamics of global interaction with new ways and ideas may not be easy. If you want easy, throw your water in the trash and take off your underwear.
Those in favor of keeping their underwear repeat after me: "My New Year's resolution is to say NO to nicking knickers and YES to embracing global solutions other than war and violence. "

Associated Press Says That Suicide Bomber That Killed 7 CIA In Afghanistan Was Invited Into Base By CIA

This story just came out regarding the suicide bombing at the base in Khost, Afghanistan that claimed the lives of seven CIA employees yesterday. It hasn't been substantiated but unfortunately seems more than possible. At the same time, I find it hard to believe that his guy wasn't searched when allowed onto the base. Real hard to believe.

From Breitbart:

AP sources: Suicide bomber invited on base

WASHINGTON (AP) - The Associated Press has learned that the suicide bomber who killed seven CIA employees at a remote outpost in southeastern Afghanistan had been invited onto the base and was not searched.
A former senior intelligence official says the man was being courted as an informant and that it was the first time he had been brought inside the camp.
The official says a senior and experienced CIA debriefer came from Kabul for the meeting, suggesting that the purpose of the meeting was to gain intelligence.

The former senior intelligence official and another former official with knowledge of the attack spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly.
The CIA has declined to comment. \

THIS IS A BREAKING NEWS UPDATE. Check back soon for further information. AP's earlier story is below.
WASHINGTON (AP)—The CIA said Thursday that seven of its employees were killed and six others wounded in a suicide bombing at a base in Afghanistan. The Associated Press has learned that one of them was the chief of the CIA's post in Afghanistan's southeastern Khost Province.
CIA Director Leon Panetta said in a message to agency staff that the casualties sustained in Wednesday's strike at Forward Operating Base Chapman were the result of a terrorist attack. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the bombing.
Initial reports indicated that eight American civilians had been killed. There was no explanation for the discrepancy in Panetta's message, which was released by the CIA in an unusual step a day after one of the deadliest attacks on the agency in its history.
"Those who fell yesterday were far from home and close to the enemy, doing the hard work that must be done to protect our country from terrorism," Panetta said. "We owe them our deepest gratitude, and we pledge to them and their families that we will never cease fighting for the cause to which they dedicated their lives—a safer America."
"Yesterday's tragedy reminds us that the men and women of the CIA put their lives at risk every day to protect this nation," he said. "Throughout our history, the reality is that those who make a real difference often face real danger."
No further information about the victims would be released, the CIA director said, "due to the sensitivity of their mission and other ongoing operations."
Separately, former CIA officials said an agent who ran the agency's base in Khost was among those killed by the attacker, who detonated a bomb-laden vest inside the compound.
The former officials said the Khost chief was the mother of three.
As base chief she would have directed and coordinated CIA operations and intelligence gathering in the province, a hotbed of Taliban and insurgent activity because of its proximity to Pakistan's lawless tribal region, they said.
The former officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly.
It was not immediately clear how the bomber entered the base at the edge of Khost city and was able to circumvent security. Khost is the capital of Khost province, which borders Pakistan and is a Taliban stronghold.
"Theres still a lot to be learned about what happened," CIA spokesman George Little said. "The key lesson is that counterterrorism work is dangerous."
Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said in a statement that an Afghan National Army officer wearing a suicide vest entered the base and blew himself up inside the gym. A U.S. official briefed on the blast also said it took place in the gym.
Forward Operating Base Chapman used to be a military facility base but was later turned into a CIA base, according to a U.S. official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly.
Some military men and women work there on a Provincial Reconstruction Team, one of several civilian-military units that secure and develop areas of Afghanistan. A NATO spokesman said other personnel operate from Chapman as well, but he said he could not elaborate.
Wednesday's attack was the single deadliest for Americans in Afghanistan since eight soldiers were killed in an insurgent attack on a base in the east on Oct. 3.
Only four known CIA operatives have been killed in Afghanistan since the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks in the U.S.
CIA officer Micheal "Mike" Spann was killed in a prison uprising in November 2001. An agency officer died in a training exercise in 2003, and two contractors operating out of a CIA base in Shkin district of Paktika province were killed the same year.

"I Am Not Answering These Questions!"A Senate Exchange on Birth & Partial-Birth Abortion

Editor's Note. When the Senate considered the Partial-Birth Abor- tion Ban Act on October 20, 1999, perhaps the most revealing part of the debate was the exchange that is reproduced below, between the chief sponsor of the bill, Senator Rick Santorum (R- Pa.), and the leading opponent, Senator Barbara Boxer (D-Ca.). This discussion appears on pages S12878-80 of the October 20 Congressional Record. We have corrected minor errors in transcription and punctuation based on review of a videotape of the C-SPAN broadcast.

Senator Santorum: I think the issue of where we draw the line constitutionally is very important. And I'm sure the senator from California [Senator Boxer] agrees with me. I think the senator from California would say that she and I, and the senator from Illinois and the senators from Arkansas and Kansas here, we are all protected by the Constitution with a right to life. Would you agree with that, senator from California - - [would you] answer that question?

Senator Boxer: I support the Roe v. Wade decision.

Santorum: So you would agree any child that's born has the right to life, is protected under the Constitution? Once that child is born?

Boxer: I agree with the Roe v. Wade decision. And what you are doing goes against it and will harm the women of this country. And I will speak to that issue when I get the floor myself.

Santorum: But I would like to ask you a question. You agree, once that child is born, is separated from the mother, that that child is protected by the Constitution and cannot be killed? Do you agree with that?

Boxer: I would make this statement: That this Constitution, as it currently is - - some of you want to amend it to say that life begins at conception. I think when you bring your baby home, when your baby is born - - and there is no such thing as partial-birth - - the baby belongs to your family and has all the rights. But I am not willing to amend the Constitution to say that a fetus is a person, which I know you would.

But we will get into that later. I would prefer to address - - I know my colleague is engaging me in a colloquy on his time, and I appreciate it - - I will answer these questions.

I think what my friend is doing, by asking me these questions, is off point. My friend wants to tell the doctors in this country what to do. My friend from Pennsylvania says they are " rogue" doctors. The AMA will tell you they no longer support you. The American nurses don't support you. The obstetricians and gynecologists don't support you. So my friend can ask me my philosophy all day. On my own time I will talk about it.

Santorum: If I can reclaim my time: First of all, the AMA still believes this is bad medicine. They do not support the criminal penalties provisions in this bill, but they still believe - - I think you know that to be the case - - that this procedure is not medically necessary, and they stand by that statement.

I ask the senator from California, again: you believe, you said " once the baby comes home." Obviously, you don't mean they have to take the baby out of the hospital for it to be protected by the Constitution. Once the baby is separated from the mother, you would agree - - completely separated from the mother - - you would agree that baby is entitled to constitutional protection?

Boxer: I will tell you why I don't want to engage in this. You did the same conversation with a colleague of mine, and I never saw such a twisting of his remarks. [Editor's note: See Nov. 14, 1996 NRL News, page 24, for transcript of an exchange between Santorum and Senator Russ Feingold (D-Wi.).]

Santorum: Well, be clear, then. Let's be clear.

Boxer: I am going to be very clear when I get the floor. What you are trying to do is take away the rights of women and their families and their doctors to have a procedure. And now you are trying to turn the question into, "When does life begin?" I will talk about that on my own time.

Santorum: What I am trying to do is get an answer from the senator from California as to where you would draw the line? Because that really is the important part of this debate.

Boxer: I will repeat. I will repeat, since the senator has asked me a question I am answering the question I have been posed by the senator. And the answer to the question is, I stand by Roe v. Wade. I stand by it. I hope we have a chance to vote on it. It is very clear, Roe v. Wade. That is what I stand by. My friend doesn't.

Santorum: Are you suggesting Roe v. Wade covered the issue of a baby in the process of being born?

Boxer: I am saying what Roe v. Wade says is, that in the early stages of a pregnancy, a woman has the right to choose. In the later stages, the states have the right, yes, to come in and restrict. I support those restrictions, as long as two things happen: They respect the life of the mother and the health of the mother.

Santorum: I understand that.

Boxer: That is where I stand. And no matter how you try to twist it, that is where I stand.

Santorum: I would say to the senator from California, I am not twisting anything. I am simply asking a very straightforward question. There is no hidden question here. The question is - -

Boxer: I will answer it again.

Santorum: Once the baby is born, is completely separated from the mother, you will support that that baby has, in fact, the right to life and cannot be killed? You accept that; right?

Boxer: I don't believe in killing any human being. That is absolutely correct. Nor do you, I am sure.

Santorum: So you would accept the fact that once the baby is separated from the mother, that baby cannot be killed?

Boxer: I support the right - - and I will repeat this, again, because I saw you ask the same question to another senator

Santorum: All the person has to do is give me a straight answer, and then it will be very clear to everybody.

Boxer: And what defines "separation"? Define "separation." You answer that question. You define it.

Santorum: Well, let's define that. Okay, let's say the baby is completely separated. In other words, no part of the baby is inside of the mother.

Boxer: You mean the baby has been birthed and is now in its mother's arms? That baby is a human being.

Santorum: Well, I don't know if it's necessarily in its mother's arms. Let's say in the obstetrician's hands.

Boxer: It takes a second, it takes a minute I had two babies, and within seconds of their birth - -

Santorum: We've had six.

Boxer: Well, you didn't have any.

Santorum: My wife and I had babies together. That's the way we do things in our family.

Boxer: Your wife gave birth. I gave birth. I can tell you, I know when the baby was born.

Santorum: Good! All I am asking you is, once the baby leaves the mother's birth canal and is through the vaginal orifice and is in the hands of the obstetrician, you would agree that you cannot abort, kill the baby?

Boxer: I would say when the baby is born, the baby is born, and would then have every right of every other human being living in this country. And I don't know why this would even be a question, to be honest with you.

Santorum: Because we are talking about a situation here where the baby is almost born. So I ask the question of the senator from California, if the baby was born except for the baby's foot, if the baby's foot was inside the mother but the rest of the baby was outside, could that baby be killed?

Boxer: The baby is born when the baby is born. That is the answer to the question.

Santorum: I am asking for you to define for me what that is.

Boxer: I don't think anybody but the senator from Pennsylvania has a question with it. I have never been troubled by this question. You give birth to a baby. The baby is there, and it is born. That is my answer to the question.

Santorum: What we are talking about here with partial birth, as the senator from California knows, is a baby is in the process of being born - -

Boxer: "The process of being born." This is why this conversation makes no sense, because to me it is obvious when a baby is born. To you it isn't obvious.

Santorum: Maybe you can make it obvious to me. So what you are suggesting is if the baby's foot is still inside of the mother, that baby can then still be killed.

Boxer: No, I am not suggesting that in any way!

Santorum: I am asking.

Boxer: I am absolutely not suggesting that. You asked me a question, in essence, when the baby is born.

Santorum: I am asking you again. Can you answer that?

Boxer: I will answer the question when the baby is born. The baby is born when the baby is outside the mother's body. The baby is born.

Santorum: I am not going to put words in your mouth - -

Boxer: I hope not.

Santorum: But, again, what you are suggesting is if the baby's toe is inside the mother, you can, in fact, kill that baby.

Boxer: Absolutely not.

Santorum: OK. So if the baby's toe is in, you can't kill the baby. How about if the baby's foot is in?

Boxer: You are the one who is making these statements.

Santorum: We are trying to draw a line here.

Boxer: I am not answering these questions! I am not answering these questions.

Pakistani Army Raids South Waziristan Hospital, Kill 3 Arabs and 1 Sudanese

I'm putting up this story from DAWN to illustrate this important point - the Pakistanis continue to flush out jihadists from South Waziristan, yes, but the major conclusion of this all is that the country is now lousy with foreign jihadists and that number is still growing. In this latest raid, the Pakistanis raided a hospital in South Waziristan and every single dead body of the terrorists is that of a foreigner. From the article:

Security forces raided a private hospital before dawn in a Taliban stronghold in South Waziristan on Thursday, killing four foreign militants and a woman, officials said. 27 others were also arrested.
The dead foreigners include two Arabs and a Bangladeshi.

This is the draw of jihad. The battle between good and evil, between freedom and islamic tyranny draws in these jihadis from all over the world like a slice of fresh bread on the kitchen floor draws in cockroaches. We see Arabs and Sudanese and Bangladeshi being drawn to Pakistan, we see a Nigerian drawn to the U.S., we see the Chechens and Uzbeks drawn to Afghanistan...and until the powers to be in this world realize that the War on Terror is a war on islamic jihad throughout the entire world, we won't see anything resembling an end to it all.

I liken this to the professional anarchist in America. Imagine an 18 yr old misfit male in America who has no job, doesn't go to school but sits by his cell phone each and every day waiting for a text message that sends him to a protest at a government center, or sends him trotting off to a rock throwing spree at a train station or sends him to a bridge overpass where he drops bricks onto the traffice below. That is what the jihadis are about....they sit in Jordan, Somalia, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Chechnya, and the Philippines and simply wait for the call to jihad.

It was just two years ago or so that al Qaeda leadership called for all of their members to migrate to Yemen...to fight the battle in Yemen and now, what do we have in Yemen? We have a new "Afghanistan" in that country with al Qaeda training camps and bases. The point of defense here is that you do not put out the bread on the floor of the kitchen in hopes of stomping on the cockroaches as they scurry out from the cracks and crevices of the kitchen - you hire a professional who goes into the roaches' homes behind the stove, behind the refrigerator, inside the cracks of the wall and destroys their nests.

Destroy the nest, destroy jihad.

Troops kill 'Arab, Sudan fighters' in South Waziristan

MIRANSHAH, Pakistan: Security forces raided a private hospital before dawn in a Taliban stronghold in South Waziristan on Thursday, killing four foreign militants and a woman, officials said. 27 others were also arrested.
The dead foreigners include two Arabs and a Bangladeshi.
Troops laid siege to the Hafiz Hospital in Wana, which belonged to a former MNA, at 2:00am (2100 GMT) sparking gun battles until around 7:00am (0200 GMT), local administration and intelligence officials said.
A security official said the raid followed a tip off that wounded militants were brought to the hospital from Sherwangi, a Taliban-dominated area where Pakistan has been pressing a major offensive.
“Commandos and security forces raided the hospital. Militants fired on the troops and in the gunfight, which lasted more than four hours, four militants and a woman were killed, while 27 others were arrested,” said the official.
“One soldier was also injured. The three dead militants appear to be Arabs and one of Sudanese origin,” the official added.
The identity of the woman was not initially clear, the official said.
An intelligence official and a local administrator confirmed the raid and deaths of four foreign militants, but said their identities were not immediately clear. The intelligence official said 27 suspects were arrested.
South Waziristan is part of Pakistan's semi-autonomous tribal belt on the Afghan border that Washington has branded the most dangerous region in the world and a chief sanctuary of Al-Qaeda plotting attacks on the West.
Last October, Pakistan launched its most ambitious offensive to date in its tribal belt, fighting on three fronts against Tehreek-i-Taliban in its South Waziristan stronghold, where the military says it has killed 663 militants.

U.S. Releases Iranian-backed Killer Of American Troops In Exchange For Brit Hostage

To say I'm livid about this would be a huge understatement. I cannot put it into words as well as The Long War Journal does here:

The US has released the leader of an Iranian-backed Shia terror group behind the kidnapping and murder of five US soldiers in Karbala in January 2007.
Qais Qazali, the leader of the Asaib al Haq or the League of the Righteous, was set free by the US military and transferred to Iraqi custody in exchange for the release of British hostage Peter Moore, US military officers and intelligence officials told The Long War Journal. The US military directly implicated Qais in the kidnapping and murder of five US soldiers in Karbala in January 2007.
“We let a very dangerous man go, a man whose hands are stained with US and Iraqi blood,” a military officer said. “We are going to pay for this in the future.”
The US military has maintained that the release of members and leaders of the League of the Righteous is related to a reconciliation agreement between the terror group and the Iraqi government, but some US military officers disagree.
“The official line is the release of Qazali is about reconciliation, but in reality this was a prisoner swap,” a military intelligence official said.
I remember very vividly that very kidnapping and killing of those 5 American soldiers back in 2007 and at that time I was pleading with our forces to find those behind it and savagely avenge the deaths of those soldiers. So, we captured these animals and after all this time...we end up letting this guy go in exchange for a British journalist. Now, I don't mean to minimize the life of that Brit journalist but believe me, the Iranians and al Qaeda and the Taliban are going to make serious note of this...that America is willing to deal and it is going to put a warrant on every U.S. troop out there.

I don't believe for a minute that this is about "reconciliation" - it's a fact that the Iraqi government has been more hardline than we had even hoped for - we haven't seen wholesale amnesty for al Sadr's henchmen, etc. If there's anything to blame the Iraqis on here it's that they probably got lazy in trying to find this hostage - at this point in time in Iraq, it's not exactly easy for an insurgent group to stay hidden with a hostage for 2 years.

Since I can't seem to type through the anger, this military officer put it best:

“This was a deal signed and sealed in British and American blood,” a US military officer told The Long War Journal. “We freed all of their leaders and operatives; they [the League of the Righteous] executed their hostages and sent them back in body bags. And we’re supposed to be happy about it.”
So, here we are. We have our troops in Afghanistan fighting a war with two arms tied behind their backs due to ROE conjured up by the Obama pacifists. And we have our fallen troops memories being blasphemed by the release of those responsible for their deaths. Disgusting. Hell, it's more than disgusting.

US releases ‘dangerous’ Iranian proxy behind the murder of US troops

Moore and four members of his personal bodyguard were kidnapped at the Finance Ministry in Baghdad in May 2007 by a group that calls itself the Islamic Shia Resistance, which is in fact a front for the League of the Righteous. The group had always insisted that Qais, his brother Laith, and other members of the Asaib al Haq be released in exchange for Moore and the others. Three of Moore’s bodyguards were executed while in custody, and the fourth is thought to have been murdered as well.
“This was a deal signed and sealed in British and American blood,” a US military officer told The Long War Journal. “We freed all of their leaders and operatives; they [the League of the Righteous] executed their hostages and sent them back in body bags. And we’re supposed to be happy about it.”
As of mid-October, the US had released more than 100 members of the League of the Righteous. The US has also released several senior Qods Force officers, including Mahmud Farhadi, the leader of the Zafr Command, one of three units subordinate to the Qods Force's Ramazan Corps. Farhadi was among five Iranians turned over to the Iraqi government and then subsequently turned over to the Iranians in July.
The US has released the Iranian operatives and proxies despite rising tensions between Iran and Iran. Iran is currently occupying Iraqi oil wells in Maysan province. Shia terror groups backed by Iran remain active in Iraq, and the Iraqi security forces continue to round up members of the Hezbollah Brigades, the Mahdi Army, the Promised Day Brigade, and the Special Groups. Iraqi security forces are also actively hunting for Qods Force agents who have entered Iraq.
Background on Qais Qazali
Qais Qazali was the commander of the League of the Righteous before US forces detained him and several other Shia terrorists in 2007. Qais commanded a large Mahdi Army faction and served as a spokesman and senior aide to Muqtada al Sadr. The terror group, which was part of the Mahdi Army until the spring of 2008, has received extensive financial and military support from Iran's Qods Force, the external division that backs Hezbollah and is tasked with supporting the Khomeinist Islamist revolution.
The League of the Righteous was directly implicated by General David Petraeus as being behind the January 2007 attack on the Provincial Joint Coordination Center in Karbala as well as other high-profile terror attacks in Iraq. Five US soldiers were killed during the Karbala attack and subsequent kidnapping attempt. The US soldiers were executed after US and Iraqi security forces closed in on the assault team.
The attack on the Karbala Provincial Joint Coordination Center was a complex, sophisticated operation. The assault team, led by tactical commander Azhar al Dulaimi, was trained in a mock-up of the center that was built in Iran. The unit had excellent intelligence and received equipment that made them appear to be US soldiers. Some of the members of the assault team are said to have spoken English.
The US military caught a break when it detained Laith and Qais and several other members of the network during a raid in Basrah in March 2007. Also detained during the raid was Ali Mussa Daqduq, a senior Hezbollah operative who was tasked by Iran to organize the Special Groups and "rogue" Mahdi Army cells along the lines of Lebanese Hezbollah. Daqduq is a 24-year veteran of Hezbollah, and he commanded both a Hezbollah special operations unit and the security detail of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. Azhar al Dulaimi was killed in a raid in Baghdad in May 2007.

Why is it that Hollywood celebrities gladly accept the remunerations from the American people, go out of their way to keep their face in front of our television sets, and remind us at every awards show how "for the people" they are, yet politically, they want us all dead?

Who Failed the System in the Christmas Day Attack? NCTC? FBI?

by Maggie at Maggie's Notebook

Who failed the system in the Christmas Day attack? Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab was already known as "The Nigerian" and already suspected of meeting with "terrorist elements" in Yemen at the time of his failed bombing attempt of NW Flight 253. By August 2009, the CIA knew about "The Nigerian." The CIA did not know "The Nigerian's" name was Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab. And they did not put the two together when the father went to the U.S. Embassy in Nigeria and met with a CIA agent in November 2009. Who was responsible for connecting the dots? From documents found online, it appears the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) is responsible for gathering and disseminating information to the No-Fly List and the simply failed.

Michael Leiter with President Obama

The CIA forwarded the information to the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC). The connection was still not made. What does the NCTC do? Here are two pull-out quotes, more below:
...the Director of NCTC is responsible for providing strategic CT plans and for effectively integrating CT intelligence and operations across agency boundaries, both inside and outside the US.
...and:
The primary source for all information relating to international terrorist identities in the TSDB is the Office of the Director of National Intelligence’s National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) ...The NCTC, “serve[s] as the primary organization in the United States Government for analyzing and integrating all intelligence possessed or acquired by the United States Government pertaining to terrorism and counterterrorism,...
As we learned during the 9-11 Commission hearings, Jaime Gorlick's "Wall of Separation," specifically built to keep the intelligence community from sharing information, enabled the 9-11 bombers. How high and at what depth is today's Wall of Separation? The Wall still stands. Here is a statement from the Vice-Chairman of the 9/11 Commission, Lee Hamilton, about the Christmas Day bombing:
"We must get better at collecting these bits of information, putting them together at a central point, analyzing them and then acting," said Lee Hamilton, the vice-chair of the 9/11 Commission.

"We're sharing information better than we did prior to 9/11, but this incident surely illustrates we've got a long ways to go," Hamilton said
CIA spokesman Paul Gimigliano said after the meeting with the father in November, they worked with the U.S. Embassy to get Abdulmutallab's name into the "government's terrorist database:"
We also forwarded key biographical information about him to the National Counterterrorism Center. This agency, like others in our government, is reviewing all data to which it had access - not just what we ourselves may have collected - to determine if more could have been done to stop Abdulmutallab."
Yet, Abdulmutallab's name didn't make it to the No-Fly List. Clearly, someone was not paying attention. Michael E. Leiter's National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) did...what?...nothing? Leiter is the Director of NCTC and the following are a few comments from his testimony to the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee in September 2009:
Despite our counterterrorism (CT) progress, al-Qa‘ida and its affiliates and allies remain resilient and adaptive enemies intent on attacking US and Western interests—with al-Qa‘ida’s core in Pakistan representing the most dangerous component of the larger al-Qa‘ida network.  We assess that this core is actively engaged in operational plotting and continues recruiting, training, and transporting operatives, to include individuals from Western Europe and North America. ...
The NCTC evolved from legislation creating "a civilian-led unified joint command" for counterterrorism. Is it nothing more than another entity which decided to do nothing?
For the first time, an organization outside the Executive Office of the President was given the responsibility for government-wide coordination of planning and integration of department and agency actions involving “all elements of national power,” including “diplomatic, financial, military, intelligence, Homeland security, and law enforcement activities within and among agencies.”
Pursuant to this authority, the Director of NCTC is responsible for providing strategic CT plans and for effectively integrating CT intelligence and operations across agency boundaries, both inside and outside the US.
Our CIA and FBI works under a President, a State Department and a Homeland Security Secretary that believes there is no war on terror, believes there are no foreign enemy combatants and believes there is no terrorism. Who places a name on the "No-Fly" list, or the "selectee" list, which alerts airline officials of the need for further, and deeper, examination of the person? Is it the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), the CIA, the State Department, Homeland Security, or all of the above? Since "the government" administers the list, is the civilian NCTC involved at all? Apparently so, and apparently the NCTC is directly responsible for the list. The following is from a declassified Homeland Security document dated July 2009, page 9:
The primary source for all information relating to international terrorist identities in the TSDB is the Office of the Director of National Intelligence’s National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) ...The NCTC, “serve[s] as the primary organization in the United States Government for analyzing and integrating all intelligence possessed or acquired by the United States Government pertaining to terrorism and counterterrorism, excepting intelligence pertaining exclusively to domestic terrorists and domestic counterterrorism.”...
This information is provided to the NCTC through nominations of individuals made by federal agencies, often with the explicit intent for the record to then be exported to the TSDB [Terrorism Screening Datebase] for watch-listing.
So how many martini lunches and conferences to exotic locations were expensed by the NCTC?

President Obama referred to the attack on NW Flight 253 as an "alleged" attack. He wasn't specifically talking about the would-be-bomber - he was talking about the attack itself. It is possible to misidentify the bomber and refer to him as allegedly "Abdulmutallab," but, please, not the attack itself. He characterized the "alleged" attack as the work of an isolated extremist, after al-Qaeda in the Saudia Arabian peninsula had already taken credit for Abdulmutallab's actions - and yet he was already known as "The Nigerian," not "a Nigerian," but specifically "The Nigerian." His Director of National Counterterrorism knew Abdulmutallab's name, and so knew that he was connected to Yemen - yet refererred to him as an "isolated extremist." Knowing all this, at no time did he mention "jihad," "Islam," "Muslims,"  or radicals."

In Obama' second statement about the attack, the President said there were failures with our intelligence community in piecing the known information together, and then distributing that information. He said it was an unacceptable "systemic failure."  Abdulmutallab allegedly paid cash for his ticket and had no luggage; the CIA and the NCTC knew about him. At the simplest level, an airline accepted his cash, and checked no luggage, yet he was not tagged for a full pat down. Still yet, the President has not said the words "jihad," "radical Islam," or "Muslim."

If you are interested in additional information on Michael Leiter and the NCTC, the following are snippets from their "implementation plan:"
[Four Pillars]
1) protect and defend against terrorists;

2) attack their capacity to operate;

3) work diligently to undermine the spread of violent extremism and retard radicalization around the world; and

4) prevent terrorists from utilizing WMD. ...
On the domestic front, NCTC enables, informs and supports federal, state and local government efforts to engage with communities across our country.  Central to this effort is NCTC’s leadership of an interagency group to coordinate engagement projects and activities conducted by the FBI, DHS, State, Justice, Treasury and others.  In particular, NCTC has worked diligently through this group with its partner agencies to enhance the level of engagement between the US.
According to The NCTC, they are partners with the CIA, the FBI, the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Justice, the Department of State, The Department of the Treasury, the departments of Energy, Health and Human Services, and Agriculture, as well as the U.S. Capitol Police, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency - and "foreign partners."
The Center provides a unique environment to optimize the USG's collective knowledge and formidable capabilities to identify and counter the terrorist threat to the nation.
What happened to the "formidable capabilities" of the NCTC in the Christmas Day attack?

Hezbollah's Nasrallah: "There has never been a country as barbaric as they are in the U.S.A."

Hezbollah's grand poobah of bald-faced lies, Hassan Nasrallah, recently gave a speech that ignited the Hezbollah crowd into repeated chants of "Death to America"... and in the same speech, this clown made one of his boldest taunts against Israel.

Read the excerpts here from his speech from MEMRI Blog and explain to me why this guy is not on the top of a list of terrorist leaders scheduled for assassination.

Hizbullah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah on Al-Manar TV: The U.S. Is a Beast; One Bite by Our Nation and Israel Is Gone; Crowd Replies - "Death to America"

"There has Never been a Country … as Barbaric as They are in the USA"

Hassan Nasrallah: "They tell us that America is a civilized country. Blessed be Imam Khomeini for calling it "the Great Satan." Throughout the history of the human race, there has never been a country, a leadership, or an elite as barbaric as they are in the USA. You could not find an elite as hostile to the human race as the elite of the USA."

Crowds: "Death to America.

"Death to America.

"Death to America.

"Death to America."

"Hiroshima and Nagasaki … was Just a Walk in the Park Compared to Where the U.S. Administration is Taking the World"

Hassan Nasrallah: "They don't kill people one by one. They kill them wholesale. Forget about Hiroshima and Nagasaki. This was just a walk in the park compared to where the U.S. administration is taking the world. The main obstacle preventing the international community from reaching an agreement about climate change is the U.S. administration and its policies. You should follow this, because I don't want to spend all my time on this. You should follow all the details, because this is about the future of the human race on this planet. But the Americans – they know how to wear their neckties properly, and know how to speak in diplomatic language, but there is a beast lurking behind their neckties and diplomatic language. This is the truth."

[...]

"The Armies are Ready and the Peoples are Ready"

Hassan Nasrallah: "The wars that the U.S. is waging in the region and the world – are they really in order to save the peoples and serve their interests? They say: We have come to save the Afghan people, so we are killing it. This is salvation American-style. They kill. They slaughter. They say: We want to save the Iraqi people, so we are slaughtering it. Your predecessor [Saddam] was also a slaughterer, so what is the difference? They want to save... Are these wars really meant to save anyone? Are these wars waged in order to spread democracy? Are these wars waged in order to instate justice and liberate mankind? That's nonsense, and reality proves it. All these wars are for the sake of the oil, of the gas... Once I had a TV interview, and I brought a list.

[...]

"They dismantled their armies and military bases from all over the world, and brought them here. Why? In order to save us from dictatorial regimes? The dictatorial regimes are still there, and they are their allies. For the sake of freedom of speech? No. In order to take over our resources and our wealth.

[...]

"When it comes to an all-out war on the level of the nation – I am telling you that the armies are ready and the peoples are ready. The armies are ready, and the peoples are ready. What is this Israel, in the heart of the Arab and Islamic nation? Once there is a will among the elites – because the nation has the will for that... Israel does not amount to more than a mouthful. One bite and it's gone. But the problem lies in the will of the elites in this nation."

Former Gitmo Jihadi Killed In Yemen While Planning British Embassy Attack

For all of our Leftist "brothers" in America, you know...like Senator Dick Durbin of Illinois, who started putting the pressure on President Bush to release Gitmo jihadist prisoners and then to eventually close down Gitmo, the evidence is mounting that you were played the fools. Yes, the evidence is indeed mounting that every prisoner that was in Gitmo simply has returned to the jihad with a vengeance. So much for making the Americans at Gitmo out to be the bad guys - we had the bad guys right where we wanted them and you spineless, irresponsible clowns on the Left saw to it that they were released. And now they are back plotting, they are back killing.

From the article at The Long War Journal, another Gitmo prisoner who was released was back at it in Yemen and was even involved in planning an attack on the British embassy there ...fortunately he was killed in a Yemeni army raid. From the article:

A former detainee at the Guantanamo Bay detention facility was killed by Yemeni forces during a raid in Arhab, which is north of the capital Sanaa, on Dec. 17. The former detainee, Hani Abdo Shaalan, was preparing attacks along with other al Qaeda terrorists against the British embassy and other Western targets at the time.
The raid that killed Shaalan was one of several operations carried out across Yemen - in Arhab, Sanaa, and the southern province of Abyan - against al Qaeda targets. The Yemeni government claims that dozens of suspected terrorists have been killed, while dozens more have been captured. Shaalan's death has been confirmed by both the Yemeni government and a human rights activist familiar with his case, according to the Washington Post.

It just absolutely burns my ass that we have these Leftists in America who have the nerve to even put forth their two bits into the War on Terror. They are completely clueless as to the mentality of jihadis. These are the same idiots in America who believe you can rehabilitate a serial killer. They are the same idiots who won't accept 9/11 for what it was but spend their life looking for a conspiracy theory. How ANY of them are given the time of day is beyond me.

Look at the current terror attack attempt by the Nigerian aboard NW Flight 253...the news has all been filled with Obama and Napolitano trying to figure out what went wrong and the biggest reason is the fact that neither of them will even admit that the terrorists, the jihadists are out to kill us simply because we are infidels. If the top leadership of America's protection network simply refuse to admit that islamic jihadists have a common goal of ultimate American destruction, there can be no defense put in place.

Former Gitmo detainee killed in Yemen while plotting attack on British embassy

A statement by the Yemeni government released on the 26Sep.net web site, which is affiliated with Yemen's defense ministry, said that the impending terrorist attack against the British embassy and other targets was "in its final phase" of planning. "A group of eight suicide bombers were to carry out the operation using explosive belts and two car bombs," Agence France Presse, quoting from the statement, reported.
The plot against the British embassy "was to be modeled on the operation that was carried out against the American embassy" in September 2008, the statement added. That attack killed 19 people, including one American. Another former Gitmo detainee, Said al Shihri, a Saudi who is currently the number two deputy of al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, reportedly helped plan the September 2008 attack.
Hani Abdo Shaalan joins a growing list of former Gitmo detainees who have joined al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), which is the strongest branch of al Qaeda outside of South Asia.
In addition to al Shihri, at least ten other former Gitmo detainees were included on the Saudi Kingdom's list of 85 most wanted terrorists in February. All of them were graduates of the Saudi rehabilitation program. One of them has since then reportedly turned himself in. But others either remain at large or have been killed in fighting.
Ibrahim Rubaish is a former Gitmo detainee who has become AQAP's chief ideologue. Rubaish is responsible for providing the theological justifications for AQAP's terror. Two other former Gitmo detainees who fled to Yemen along with Rubaish have been killed in shootouts. [See LWJ reports "Former Gitmo detainee killed in shootout" and "Another former Gitmo detainee killed in shootout."]
All of the above former Gitmo detainees who have joined AQAP are Saudis. Shaalan is now the first Yemeni who was detained at Guantanamo and confirmed to have joined AQAP upon his release.
A Taliban "chef's assistant" who was admittedly armed at Tora Bora
Shaalan, who was listed as Hani Abdul Muslih al Shulan during his time at Gitmo, was transferred to Yemeni custody on June 18, 2007. During his combatant status review tribunal (CSRT) at Gitmo, Shaalan said he first traveled from Yemen to Afghanistan "to get employment and save money." Shaalan claimed that his father paid for his trip and downplayed his ties to the Taliban and al Qaeda.
US military and intelligence officials did not buy Shaalan's story. And Shaalan made important admissions during his CSRT.
US officials found that Shaalan's "travel to Afghanistan was facilitated by a Yemeni national known to have recruited Yemeni men to fight the Jihad against the Russians in Chechnya," according to a June 10, 2005 memo. Shaalan decided to travel to Afghanistan "in response to a fatwa for the purpose of fighting coalition forces."
During his CSRT, Shaalan denied that his travel to Afghanistan was inspired by a fatwa or that anyone convinced him to leave for South Asia. However, Shaalan's own testimony indicated that he was likely recruited by a jihadist recruiter. When asked how he knew where to go in Pakistan and then Afghanistan, Shaalan said he met "a man who gave me directions and was guiding me how to get there." Shaalan said the man's name was Saleh al Raeni, and that he was associated with "a mosque called al Forkan."
It is possible, if not likely, that Shaalan was referring to the Furqan Institute in Yemen. According to another memo produced at Gitmo, the Furqan Institute "was a meeting and recruiting ground for jihadist[s] in Yemen. Many Yemeni al Qaeda members have links to the institute, specifically a number of the al Qaeda members involved in the" attack on the USS Cole.
Another indication that Shaalan was initially recruited for jihad is that he stayed "in Taliban safe houses during his travel to and within Afghanistan," according to the transcript of his CSRT hearing. Shaalan did not deny this allegation. "I had to stay in a place that was safe," Shaalan said. Taliban and al Qaeda safe houses are governed by strict security protocols, so not just anyone can gain access. That Shaalan stayed in Taliban safe houses is, therefore, an indication that a known Taliban or al Qaeda member vouched for him.
During his CSRT, Shaalan claimed he was just a "chef's assistant" and was coy about his time in Afghanistan, claiming that he could not remember if he was employed by the Taliban north or south of Kabul. At one point in custody, according to a US government memo, Shaalan "stated that his job was to prepare food that was later transported to soldiers fighting on the front lines."
It is possible that his role went beyond that of a mere cook, however. US officials found that he spent "two months at a Taliban camp." When he was captured, Shaalan also had in his possession "a Casio watch, model # A159W, which has been used in bombings linked to al Qaeda." Although Casio is a common brand of watch, al Qaeda and Taliban trainees frequently received certain models as part of their training. These watches work well when attempting to detonate an improvised explosive device, or other types of bombs. Thus, Shaalan's watch may be an indication that he received training on explosives. For his part, Shaalan denied having anything to do with explosives during his CSRT.
Whether Shaalan was trained or not, he was armed at Tora Bora, which was a stronghold for Taliban and al Qaeda members following the US-led invasion in late 2001. The US government found that he was "present in the Tora Bora region during the US air campaign." Shaalan denied being there during the air campaign, but conceded that he fled through the Tora Bora Mountains for Pakistan with "a lot of people."
One member of Shaalan's tribunal asked him, "Were any of them armed?" Shaalan responded, "Some of them, they were carrying weapons."
"Were you carrying one a the same time?," a tribunal member asked. Shaalan admitted, "Yes, I was."
Despite admitting that he was armed at Tora Bora, Shaalan refused to tell the Gitmo tribunal whether or not he believed in waging jihad. When asked, "Do you believe in jihad?," Shaalan responded: "That is not included in my unclassified evidence."
A tribunal member pressed, "Did you go to Afghanistan to fight jihad?"
"The first question was why I went to Afghanistan. I have already answered that question," Shaalan said, even though he never really answered questions concerning his ideological beliefs one way or the other.
Given recent events, Shaalan had a good reason to be evasive when asked about his jihadist inclinations. After leaving Gitmo, Shaalan rejoined one of the strongest al Qaeda branches on the globe, and reportedly helped his fellow jihadists plan an attack against the British embassy and other Western targets prior to his death.

Pakistani Woman's Nose Cut Off Because Her Family Refused Her Suitor's Marriage Proposal

Apparently, under islam, you better not turn down a proposal for marriage. We have all seen too many instances of honor killings and maimings when a husband, brother or father objected to the disgrace shown by a wife or sister or daughter but in this case from Pakistan, detailed here at CNN, a young woman's family refused the marriage proposal from a suitor and so out of revenge, the young man decided to disfigure her so no one else would want her.

From the article:

Fazeelat said: "They tried to strangle me. They used a rope and one of them pulled it from either side. I cried out, but then they covered my mouth."
Then she says Sher Mohammed came at her with the knife. "They said "we will kill you. Since your mother did not accept our marriage proposal, we are going to leave you in a state where no one will want you,"" Fazeelat remembers them saying.
It was Sher Mohammed, the man who wanted to be her husband, that sliced off her nose and slashed her ear. She lost consciousness.
"When I came to my senses at the hospital, I was still crying out, begging them to stop, saying the same things I was saying at the time of the attack. All I could see was the attackers in front of my eyes." she said.
As is the case too often in islam, a woman is nothing but a piece of property or in this case, potential property and the inexplicable horrors of women and girls will continue, more than likely, til the end of time.

Woman maimed by suitor fears more reprisals

Zafarkey, Pakistan (CNN) -- Fazeelat Bibi peels back the white bandage, exposing her mutilated face. In the place of her nose are two gaping dark holes surrounded by raw pink flesh in the final stages of healing.
"I cant sleep without fear," she says, her hands twisting beneath her light colored chador. "Whenever I try to sleep, I see the whole brutal act in front of my eyes."
The 22-year-old used to be the family jokester, the youngest girl out of her six siblings, and her mother's favorite. But a chilling act of violence destroyed her life and killed her spirit.
These days she spends most of her time in silence, rarely venturing outside of the house. Her voice is strong, angry as she tells us she wants her story told.
It all happened in the small village of Zafarkey, outside of Lahore, surrounded by brick kilns and bright green fields.
Fazeelat's cousin, Sher Mohammed wanted to marry her and came with family members to ask her parents for her hand. "My family refused," Fazeelat told us.
"My eldest sister was already married into their family and she was not happy and was facing a lot of problems because of their family. My parents also thought they were bad people."
She says that Sher Mohammed, his brother, and other members of his family started to threaten her, saying they would destroy her face.

"We thought that maybe that would harm my brothers. But we never thought that these cruel people would commit this type of a ruthless act," she said.
In late September, a month and a half after the rejected proposal, Fazeelat was on her way home from work at the brick kiln with her brother and elderly father.
"It was around 6:30 a.m." she said, softly biting her lower lip. "Five people jumped out of the crops. I recognized them and I begged them not to beat me, but they said they were going to kill me."
Her brother, Sabir Ali, said he was helpless, held at gunpoint along with this father. "We begged them to just take my sister's gold earrings, but they told us to keep quiet or they would kill us," he said. He watched the entire horrific act.
She also screamed for her mother only to learn more terrible news -- her mother was dead.
Her brother said she fell to the ground after seeing her daughter's mutilated face.
As we look at the only photo that Fazeelat has with her mother, she says she wishes she had died.
Police so far have arrested three of her five assailants. Two have already been tried and convicted.
Their sentence: to be subjected to the same mutilation as Fazeelat. They are also to serve life in prison and pay a fine equivalent to $8,300.
This unusual sentence is in accordance with the Pakistani Penal Code, a blend of British and Islamic laws. Connect the World: Does revenge punishment work?
Prosecutor Chaudhry Jahangir explained that the mutilation sentence needs to be confirmed by the High Court. "I have no doubt in my mind. I think they are guilty," he said. "They committed the offense and they are rightly punished."
Villagers and local leaders tell us they also support the court's decision -- they believe it will act as a deterrent. "I have four daughters," one mans said. "They need to be protected."
Rauf Ahmed, a local elected official jumped into the conversation. "Let me explain something to you. In our society women are weak, we all agree on that. So it's up to the government to make sure that women are able to get justice and revenge.
"We want this type of a strict punishment, so that it will be a lesson to other potential offenders so they won't dare to do such a thing in the future."
Fazeelat says her future is ruined. Her dream of a nice house and a family in ruins.
"I just want to see the same that happened to me happen to the accused. We are still afraid. They committed something so brutal with me, they could do anything," she said.
Two of her attackers are still at large. And she says her family is afraid of even worse retribution.
Fazeelat took us along on her first visit back to the scene of the attack. "I want you to see just how ruthless and merciless they were with me," she tells us on the way.
She points out the attacker's house. It's right across the street. Villagers we pass by simply stare. We arrive at the scene in minutes.
"I wanted to bring you here because I want you to see just how merciless and ruthless of an act was committed against me," she said.
She gets animated, gesturing across the field, pointing to the wall that she says the attackers smashed her head against before they mutilated her. Suddenly she stops. "My body is shivering," she says. "I am so afraid."
The vivid memory is too much for her to bear, and she faints.
Her sister hugs her close while her brother expertly unclenches her locked jaw. He has done this many times before. Fazeelat gasps for breath.

Egypt and Saudi Arabia Are Secretly Drafting A Statehood Motion At The U.N. For The Palestinians

I guess if we are reading about it, then it probably isn't much of a secret anymore but the article at DEBKA, does bring up the fact that there are Middle Eastern powers that will do anything possible to keep Israel in danger. From the article:

Middle East sources report that Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the Gulf emirates and the Palestinian Authority are secretly drafting a UN Security Council motion granting Palestinian statehood within the pre-1967 war borders of the West Bank and Gaza Strip with Jerusalem its capital. This group is working under tight wraps, using diversionary tactics, to keep the US and Israel from discovering their scheme. Libya, or if it is elected to the Security Council, Lebanon will table the motion.

Now, at this point in time, I'm not sure an Obama-led America would actually object to this ruse of a motion and the really scary part is how this just might work.

Course on the other hand, considering that this motion would carry about as much weight as the U.N. directives for Iran to halt nuclear development, the Israelis should be able to just wave it off. But, if this were to progress, I'd be interested to see just what the American contingent to the U.N. actually does in response.

I'm still not clear why, if Egypt and the Saudis are so damn concerned about the Palis having some land, they don't just carve a section of their own countries up and give it to the Palis? Oh, that's right - they both detest the Palis. Oops, forgot.

Saudi King Abdullah, President Hosni Mubarak and Mahmoud Abbas have decided that if the US vetoes their resolution, Abbas will resign down finally as chairman of the Palestinian Authority and his place will not be taken by any member of his administration. Abbas keeps on saying his decision to resign is irrevocable with this development in mind and the dilemma it will pose Washington and Jerusalem: According to the Palestinian constitution, the Speaker of the Palestinian legislature, Dr. Abdel Aziz Duaik, of Hamas, fills the absent chair.
However, according to our sources, the three Arab leaders are banking on the US being constrained from voting against the motion by president Barack Obama's avowed support for Palestinian statehood - albeit omitting to predetermine its borders. The Americans may simply abstain, leaving 10-12 Security Council members out of 15 to carry the resolution. Abdullah, Mubarak and Abbas are counting on their resolution
carrying the same huge impact as the Nov. 27, 1947 UN vote approving the establishment of two states in partitioned Palestine. They believe it will put an end once and for all to discussions on the future borders of a Palestinian state; any Israeli presence across the 1967 boundaries, civilian or military, will be illegal and in clear breach of an explicit Security Council resolution.
This move has sent Abbas on extensive travels in recent months with frequent side-trips to Riyadh and Cairo. It was also discussed during Mubarak's visits to the Gulf this week.
The Palestinian leader, our sources report, has secured endorsement pledges from Russia, China, France and Britain, as well as the African, South American and Asian representatives on the Security Council.
According to DEBKAfile's Jerusalem sources, the Netanyahu government shows no signs of anticipating this hostile diplomatic gambit and the foreign ministry does not appear it is ready to pre-empt it or fight back.

Today's Homework Assignment For Janet Napolitano

This is an excellent piece from over at Family Security Matters that deals with just WHY Janet Napolitano and the Obama administration just don't "get it" about islamic terrorism.

However, it could be argued that it isn't as much stupidity or incompetence as it is...complicity.

Homeland Security 101

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano came in for some well-deserved criticism for declaring over the weekend that "the system worked" with respect to Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab's effort to blow up the plane he was flying from Amsterdam to Detroit. By Monday, she was backpedaling, acknowledging that "our system did not work in this instance."

In truth, for a lot of Americans, Ms. Napolitano has not had much credibility since she tried to ban "terrorism" from the official lexicon of her department. But arguably the most serious indication that she is wholly ill-equipped to carry out her present responsibilities can be found in another – as yet uncorrected – statement she made on Sunday. She told CNN's "State of the Union" that, "Right now, we have no indication [that Abdulmutallab's actions were] part of anything larger."

Not "part of anything larger"? Is she serious? Does she take us for fools?

Read my lips, Secretary Napolitano: Abdulmutallab's actions were absolutely, positively part of something larger. What they were part of is the comprehensive theo-political-legal program that authoritative Islam calls Shariah.

This supremacist program requires its adherents to engage in jihad, or holy war, to bring about the triumph of Islam under a global theocracy, one that will impose Shariah on Muslims and non-Muslims alike. Pursuant to Shariah, jihad should – wherever practicable – be pursued through the terrifying use of violence. Where violent jihad is impractical or would be counterproductive, Shariah directs faithful Muslims to use other means to advance the same goal. Koran expert Robert Spencer calls the latter "stealth jihad."

The question must be asked: Are we seeing a dramatic increase in violent jihadism in America – National Public Radio reported on Saturday that there had been 14 attempts in 2009 (compared to two or three in recent years) and that they had been increasingly "operational" in character, not just "aspirational" – because violence is now seen to be practicable here?

Specifically, could it be that jihadists have been emboldened by what they see as weakness and/or fecklessness on the part of the U.S. administration? Could steps Team Obama has taken – such as the closure of Guantanamo Bay, the release of some hardened terrorists held there to Yemen (where Abdulmuttalab claims he got his plastic explosive device), granting others access to civilian courts and constitutional rights, etc. – actually be emboldening them to believe that murder and mayhem will accelerate the defeat and conquest of the infidel West?

The U.S. government was warned by Abdulmutallab's father at least two months ago that his son had been "radicalized" – in other words, that he had embraced Shariah. That being the case, he was transformed from being one of the hundreds of millions of Muslims around the world who are not a problem into one of those who are.

In the wake of the latest, narrowly averted massacre at the hands of jihadists, we are being promised executive branch reviews of the practice that, in the wake of his father's warning, put Abdulmuttalab on the improbably named Terrorist Identities Datamart Environment (TIDE) database – but did not revoke his multiple entry U.S. visa or otherwise keep him from flying. Multiple congressional investigations will be launched, as well.

Such reviews will, however, amount to little more than a waste of time and taxpayer resources – and possibly a serious distraction – if they do not address, and henceforth require screening for, the motivation for such attacks. It is absurd to think that "the system" is going to do anything other than exponentially increase the amount of discomfort for airline passengers as long as it does not weed out those who embrace as an article of faith their duty to destroy us.

We need to be equally clear about the menace posed by those who adhere to Shariah but profess to seek to "Islamicize" America through non-violent means. In the wake of the recent actual and averted attacks, the press has, for example, trumpeted the views of parents of five jihadists from Northern Virginia, imams at mosques where they worshipped and prominent fixtures in the various Muslim Brotherhood front organizations. Unsurprisingly, all of them profess shock – shock! – that these young people would want to do as they have been taught to, pursuant to Shariah: namely, follow the way of jihad against the Dar al-Harb (the "House of War" that is the non-Muslim world).

Nowhere in these disinformation operations is any mention made of the Muslim Brotherhood's self-declared mission in America. According to an internal Brotherhood strategic plan dating from 1991, that mission is: "A kind of grand jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and "sabotaging" its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and Allah's religion is made victorious over all other religions."

As long as Janet Napolitano, Attorney General Eric Holder, the intelligence community, law enforcement, the military, the media and the whole Obama administration refuse to acknowledge what animates our enemies, we will never develop an effective strategy for defeating them, let alone successfully implement it. Part and parcel of achieving such an understanding is to stop allowing the stealth jihadists in our midst to blind us to this reality.
