WTF?!! Was It Gadahn Or Wasn't It?!!

Well, as always seems to be the case with the Pakistanis, it appears that initial reports that American-born al Qaeda communications director, Adam Gadahn, was NOT the one that was captured by Pakistani security forces in Karachi yesterday, although many news services have not made the correction yet. And I almost hate to make the statement yet but this report from DAWN, which is a Pakistani news outlet confirms that it was NOT Gadahn:

Pakistani security agents denied on Monday that an American al Qaeda spokesman wanted in the United States for treason had been arrested, saying there had been confusion over the identity of a detained suspect.
Some Pakistani officials had said on Sunday that Adam Gadahn, a California-born convert to Islam with a $1 million US bounty on his head, had been arrested on the outskirts of the city of Karachi.
But a senior government official and two security agents said on Monday the suspected al Qaeda operative picked up in Karachi was not Gadahn.
“Our initial impression was that the guy was Adam Gadahn but that information now looks incorrect,” said one security official, who declined to be identified.
The arrested man was believed to be an American who goes by the alias Abu Yahya, the officials said. Gadahn is known to have used a similar alias.
“Probably the name and his origin caused the confusion,” the first official said.

I've gotten to the point with the Pakistanis that it's best to wait about a week or ten days to put up any news of any capture or killing of an al Qaeda or Taliban leader - hell, there is even mention in this same report that Faqir Mohammad wasn't killed in the air strike last week!

I can understand some confusion when you bomb a hideout and all that is left of a body is charred crispies but when you arrest a fucking terrorist and he's alive and he's supposedly an American in the middle of Pakistan, how damn tough can it be to get an ID right?

Knowing these clowns in Pakistan, they'll come out later today and say it WAS Gadahn. Good grief. And these guys have nuclear weapons! Can't you just hear it now after two nuclear missiles are launched by Pakistan....." Oh wait! I swear those were the coordinates for India! Ohoh...looks like we sent them to Beijing!"

Suspect arrested in Pakistan not Gadahn: officials


KARACHI: Pakistani security agents denied on Monday that an American al Qaeda spokesman wanted in the United States for treason had been arrested, saying there had been confusion over the identity of a detained suspect.

Some Pakistani officials had said on Sunday that Adam Gadahn, a California-born convert to Islam with a $1 million US bounty on his head, had been arrested on the outskirts of the city of Karachi.

“We don't know yet how big a catch he is,” he said.

While ruling out another big offensive soon, Pakistan has arrested several senior members of the Afghan Taliban in recent weeks, including a top military commander, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar.

But Islamabad has only officially confirmed Baradar's arrest.

Gadahn has been involved with al Qaeda's as-Sahab media wing and has appeared in al Qaeda videos wearing robes and a turban and warning the United States that it would face attacks if it did not heed al Qaeda demands.

On Sunday, a video was released on Islamist websites in which Gadahn called for Muslims in the United States to launch attacks to undermine the economy, according to a website that monitors al Qaeda announcements.

The FBI has been seeking to question Gadahn since May 2004, and the U.S. government has offered up to $1 million in reward money for information leading to his arrest.

The 2006 treason charge against him carries a maximum punishment of death.

Separately, a senior Pakistani Taliban commander linked with al Qaeda who the government said last week may have been killed in a Pakistani air raid telephoned a Reuters reporter to say he was alive.

Interior Minister Rehman Malik said on Saturday senior Pakistani Taliban commander Faqir Mohammad may have been among 16 insurgents killed when helicopter gunships attacked a militant hideout in the Mohmand region on Friday.

“I'm fine. It's just propaganda,” said the man on the telephone who identified himself as Mohammad. The reporter has spoken to Mohammad before and said he recognised his voice.

“I was in Bajaur, not Mohmand that day. None of our commanders were killed in the attack. We lost some fighters and women,” the man purporting to be Mohammad said, referring to another region on the Afghan border.

There is a lot of confusion all over the internet right now whether indeed this is Adam Gadahn that has been captured. Apparently CBS is saying they have their doubts on the information - I think a lot of the confusion stems from the reported name of the captured, that being Abu Yahya Mujahdeen Al-Adam ...I reported below that it is Gadahn's name in al Qaeda but reports are that it is a different American who was in Afghanistan. Well, two things I want to question on this: does the name "Adam" at the end of that arabic name seem a bit coincidental? And at the same time, do a search on the full name and it doesn't come up. Also, the Pakistani report says the guy is on the Top 10 wanted list of America - then THAT IS GADAHN - it ain't no 2 bit Afghan Taliban commander on that list.

I have no idea what is the truth at this point, folks...but I have seen no update from my normal reliable sources on this so I'm sticking with it that it is Gadahn.



The news of the capture of American Al Qaeda leader, Adam Gadahn or as he is referred to in al Qaeda circles, Abu Yahya Mujahdeen Al- Adam, has been confirmed by Pakistani sources and now it is revealed that he has already been transferred from Karachi to Islamabad for interrogation.

Hmmm....now isn't that interesting. This is the second time now that members of U.S. Intelligence have been involved in an arrest of an al Qaeda big fish in Karachi. This tells me that the CIA has someone inside the ring in Karachi and I've got a feeling that we may be just days away from catching a fish that will make Adam Gadahn look like one you'd throw back because he ain't big enough.

I'd like to add that it doesn't surprise me one bit that girly-man Gadahn got captured without a shot being fired.

This is getting to be way too much fun.

Pennsylvania-born Abu Yahya is a US citizen and assumed to be a commander of foreign militants fighting in Afghanistan against the US. He was living with Osama Bin Ladin after 9/11 attacks in New York. His name is included in the top ten wanted on the CIA list. - DawnNews.

Whoa!!!!!!!!!!! Adam Gadahn, the puke excuse of an American who defected to al Qaeda years ago so Osama bin Laden could have a useful American tool, has reportedly been captured by Pakistani security forces in the city of Karachi.

Reports from Paksitan indicate that the American-born al Qaeda spokesman who has been charged with treason in the US was captured in Pakistan's port city of Karachi.

Adam Gadahn and an associate is reported to have been captured during a raid by Pakistani special forces on a home at the Super Highway in Karachi, Pakistan's largest city.

US intelligence officials contacted by The Long War Journal said they believed Gadahn has been detained but would not confirm the report.

Gadahn capture was first reported in the Pakistani press, however he was not directly named. Geo News identified the captive al Qaeda leader as Commander Abu Yahya Azam while Dawn identified him as Abu Yahya Mujahdeen al Adam. Adam Gahdan's nom de guerre is Abu Azzam al Amriki.

"The Pakistani press often incorrectly reports the names of foreign fighters arrested in the country, especially Arabic noms de guerre," Arif Rafiq, the editor of The Pakistan Policy Blog, told The Long War Journal

Gadahn was likely detained in the Sohrab Goth neighborhood in Karachi, Rafiq said. "Sohrab Goth is a major Pashtun area in northern Karachi," he said. "Many Mehsud tribesmen live there."

Now, I know that there have been reports before of the demise of Gadahn in hellfire attacks but if the Pakistanis can't identify an American in the middle of Karachi, then something is wrong. This appears to be valid and if so, holy crap - can you imagine the intel that we can get from a piece of shit like this guy?!!!

I have to wonder - how willing are the Pakistanis going to be to turn this guy over to the U.S.? Remember, Karachi has been a hotbed lately for capturing both al Qaeda and Taliban leaders and there was at least one instance of a Taliban commander from Afghanistan who the Pakistanis refused to extradite back to Afghanistan. I made the call earlier this month that I thought that Mullah Omar was actually in Karachi and now, to find Gadahn here...well, one has to wonder if the top leadership of al Qaeda isn't nearby too.

This is huge news. Hopefully, Barack Hussein Obama will be too preoccupied with the healthcare bill and Eric Holder will be too tied up with the KSM trial mess so that some top notch CIA interrogators can get their hands on Adam Gadahn - Gadahn won't break easily but this is an instance where all means need to be brought to the forefront - this puke knows where Omar is, where bin Laden is and where al Zawahiri is....we better get that info and get it quick because the rats are going to be on the run soon.

Reports from Paksitan indicate that the American-born al Qaeda spokesman who has been charged with treason in the US was captured in Pakistan's port city of Karachi.

The reported capture of Gadahn comes the same day as As Sahab, al Qaeda's propaganda arm, released a video of him praising Major Nidal Hasan, the Muslim US Army officer who murdered 13 soldiers at Fort Hood, Texas on Nov. 5, 2009.

"Brother Nidal is the ideal role model for every repentant Muslim in the armies of the unbelievers and apostate regimes," Gadahn said, according to a partial translation provided by CTV.

"Nidal Hasan is a pioneer, a trailblazer and a role-model who has opened a door, lit a path and shown the way forward for every Muslim who finds himself among the unbelievers," Gadahn continued.

Gadahn also called for additional attacks in the US, mirroring the tactics used by Hassan, but said the attacks should not be limited to US military targets.

"You shouldn't make the mistake of thinking that military bases are the only high-value targets in America and the West," Gadahn said. "On the contrary, there are countless other strategic places, institutions and installations which, by striking, the Muslim can do major damage."

The current reports of Gadahn's capture come as six top leaders of the Afghan Taliban's Quetta Shura, or executive leadership council, have been detained in Pakistan. The Pakistani military and government have previously denied that the Quetta Shura existed and said no senior Afghan Taliban leaders were present in Pakistan.

Gadahn, who is better known as Azzam the American or Azzam al Amriki, was born Adam Pearlman and converted to Islam in 1997. It is believed he joined al Qaeda in 2003 and was recruited by Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the mastermind of the Sept. 11 attacks on America. Gadahn appeared in his first al Qaeda video in October 2004, and has been featured in several videos since. In a video released in 2008 and titled "An Invitation to Reflection and Repentance," Gadahn tore up his US passport and called for Americans to join al Qaeda.

He was indicted in a US federal court under charges of treason and providing material support to a foreign terrorist organization for making al Qaeda propaganda videos. "By aligning himself with al Qaeda, by moving overseas to be closer to al Qaeda’s base and leadership, and by joining in advocating al Qaeda’s terrorist agenda, an agenda that includes the overthrow of the United States government and the murder of American citizens, Adam Gadahn has committed treason against the United States of America," said US Attorney Debra Wong Yang. He is the first American to be indicted for treason since 1952.

Gahdan was rumored to have been killed in a US airstrike in North Waziristan in January 2008, but he later resurfaced and released several videotapes.

Al Qaeda Tries To Change Their Image ...."No, we don't kill other muslims!"

What a farce. Al Qaeda's token American defector, Adam Gadahn, has come out with a video (shown below in two parts) in which he states that al Qaeda is NOT behind all of the bombing and carnage in Pakistan and then goes on to blame that all on staged and conspiratoral bombings done by the U.S. and Pakistani intelligence.

You know, if the string of bombings in Pakistan hadn't killed and maimed so many, this would almost be laughable. Gadahn didn't address what al Qaeda in Iraq did to the muslim population in Iraq - both Shia and Sunni in their attempt to stage a civil war there and also, he didn't seem to offer up why these attacks started happening shortly after al Qaeda arrived in Pakistan. Nope...he didn't mention any of that.

Let's fact it, this is a strategic move by al Qaeda after they were very slow in finding out that their tactics of carnage and terror upon the populace has backfired in every theater they have engaged themselves. They are smart enough to know that their bombing of civilian targets like mosques and marketplaces spelled their doom in Iraq and unbelievably, it's taken them a year and a half to realize that the same tactics used in Pakistan are backfiring as well.

So give us the lip service, little Adam, we're on to you and your gang and we have been for a long time. It's too late, Bozo. You made your bed, now you get to fry in it.

American Jihadist Denies Al Qaeda Behind Deadly Bombings in Pakistan


A U.S.-born Al Qaeda spokesman, in a newly released English-language video, denies the group was behind a series of bombings in Pakistan that have killed hundreds of civilians, calling such attacks un-Islamic.
Adam Gadahn, who commonly delivers the terror organization's English messages, said the extremist network was being framed for the bloodshed by the U.S. and Pakistani intelligence services.
"The perpetration of such deplorable acts and the pinning of responsibility for them on the mujahedeen only serves the enemies of Islam and Muslims, who are today staring defeat in the face," he said, blaming the "puppet media" for implicating Al Qaeda in the attacks.
"The mercenaries of the ISI, RAW, CIA or Blackwater are the real culprits behind these senseless and un-Islamic bombings," he added.
The ISI and RAW are the Pakistani and Indian intelligence agencies, respectively, while Blackwater is the private security firm — now called Xe Services — whose involvement in the killings of Iraqi civilians have tarnished its reputation throughout the Muslim world.
More than 500 people have died in a slew of attacks in Pakistan that began in October, just as the Pakistani army started waging a ground offensive against the Taliban in South Waziristan, a tribal region bordering Afghanistan.

A single truck bomb in the northwest city of Peshawar killed more than 100 people at a market that sells mostly women's clothes and children's toys. More recently, twin bombs at a similar market in the eastern Pakistani city of Lahore killed nearly 50.
Pakistani authorities have laid blame for the recent spate of attacks on the Pakistani Taliban or their affiliates, which include Al Qaeda and other local militant groups.
Such groups, which analysts say are increasingly intertwined, most often to attack security targets. But the militants generally avoid claiming responsibility for assaults that kill a large number of civilians.
In a transcript of the video released by the SITE Intelligence Group, a Washington-based monitor of militant Web sites, Gadahn told Pakistanis their real enemies were secular regimes, corrupt police, judges and tribal nationalists.
Gadahn's message may resonate in Pakistan, where conspiracy theories are rife, support for militancy has only recently taken a downturn and anti-Americanism is widespread.
After the market blast in Peshawar, many Pakistanis expressed disbelief that Islamist groups could have attacked other Muslims in such a manner. And in some corners of the Pakistani media, Blackwater has increasingly been floated as a culprit in nefarious events.
Gadahn grew up in Los Angeles and then moved to Pakistan in 1998, according to the FBI. He is said to have attended an Al Qaeda training camp six years later, serving as a translator and consultant for the group.
Al Qaeda's media arm, al-Sahab, is increasingly using English-language videos to address Muslims in Pakistan who are unlikely to speak Arabic. Gadahn's message specifically addressed Muslims in south Asia, including India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Here We Go Again...It's al Qaeda's Adam Gadahn Watch All Over Again

Adam Gadahn, the epitome of spineless, gutless American Leftists, who set out from America to join al Qaeda and who has been responsible for a good deal of the media propaganda for al Qaeda over the years is being forecasted as being killed....again. If you remember, nearly nine months ago it was all over the blogosphere (milblogs) that Adam Gadahn had been killed in the predator attack that killed al Qaeda leader Abu Laith al-Libi while in Pakistan. It was all over the place but then there was never any DNA or body or concrete proof that Gadahn had been killed.

At the time, I said that when a couple of hellfires hit just right, there isn't going to be a lot of real identifiable parts left of a scum like Gadahn. So, anyway, there has been nothing but silence from Gadahn ever since. I remember one of the arguments that Gadahn hadn't been killed was that al Qaeda didn't announce his martyrdom and I argued that although a member of al Qaeda, he was an American and an American of Jewish descent no less...would al Qaeda really have tooted his horn?

I want his sorry ass hauled back to the U.S.A. to stand trial for treason and conspiracy against America. But he may have fallen victim to an expanded programme of predator assassinations which in the last year has targeted and killed many of al-Qa'eda's military commanders, terrorist trainers and facilitators.

Evan Kohlmann, an investigator with the Nine Eleven Finding Answers (Nefa) foundation which monitors terrorist groups, said: "Al-Qaeda acknowledges that several of its leaders have been taken out. There aren't that many experienced leaders left in the middle ranks and they are being replaced by younger guys with no credentials but lots of enthusiasm."
Experts now fear that younger leaders will attempt to prove themselves by launching bloody attacks such as a suicide bomb attack on workers at a munitions factory in Pakistan last month which killed 70.
Gadahn has taken on real importance as al-Qa'eda's best known Westerner. He also became the poster boy of would-be jihadis around the world who are radicalised on the internet - and identify with a former Orange County teenager who once reviewed heavy metal bands before finding radical Islam and travelling to Pakistan in 1998.
