Climate News: Only ‘Hobbit-Sized Humans’ Capable of Surviving Global Warming

Pssssst America....they'reeeeee baaaaack.

From Family Security Matters.

Climate News: Only ‘Hobbit-Sized Humans’ Capable of Surviving Global Warming

The joint editor of the Climate News Network is warning that in as little as two centuries global warming will lead to "mass extinction," which may be good news for residents of "The Shire."

"Hobbit-sized humans, able to exist on less nourishing food, will have the best chance of survival in a warmer world, scientists say," said Paul Brown, a journalist and author, in an article entitled, "Mass extinction forecast with 6C temperature rise," published on Jan. 7.

Brown bases his claim on findings by the "Bighorn Basin Coring Project," a group of scientists from the United States, the UK, Germany, and Netherlands studying a "period 55 million years ago when the Earth's temperature rose suddenly."

He cautions that the planet's temperature is "expected" to rise rapidly by 6°C this century, having disastrous effects that only fictional characters from J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings trilogy could sustain.

"What worries the scientists is that this current warming period will take as little as 200 years, if the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change is correct," Brown said. "The result will be mass extinction, and for the survivors, humans, animals and insects, there will be a scramble to eat a diminishing and less nutritious food supply."

“Dwarfism is again expected to be a successful strategy for the survivors, enabling humans, animals and insects to mature earlier with less food and so reproduce before they starve,” he said.

“In the next 100 years the combination of more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and increased temperature could be ‘catastrophic’ for an overpopulated world, according to one of the scientists involved,” Brown said.

“With food supply drastically reduced, evolutionary forces suggest hobbit-sized humans who needed to eat less would have the greatest chance of survival.”

However, Brown says, "Animals, including humans, will shrink" in order to survive "a warming world."

Notice To All Climate Change Advocates, All Members of the "Go Green" Army

All of you out there in America and across the globe who have fought so hard to tackle the hideous enemy of our planet, namely carbon emissions, you know ....that bogus god you worship of "Climate Change" or "global warming" ....well, I feel it is necessary to inform you of some bad news. It really does pain me to have to bring you this disappointing information.

Are you sitting down?

Okay, here's the bombshell. The current volcanic eruption going on in Iceland, since its first spewing of volcanic ash this past week, has, to this point, NEGATED EVERY SINGLE EFFORT you have made in the past five years to control CO2 emissions on our planet.

I know, I know.... (group hug)...it's very disheartening to realize that all of the carbon emission savings you have accomplished while suffering the inconvenience and expense of: driving Prius hybrids, buying fabric grocery bags, sitting up til midnight to finish your kid's "The Green Revolution" science project, throwing out all of your non-green cleaning supplies, using only two squares of toilet paper, putting a brick in your toilet tank reservoir, selling your SUV and speedboat, going on vacation to a city park instead of Yosemite, nearly getting hit every day on your bicycle, replacing all of your $1 light bulbs with $10 light bulbs ...well, all of those things you have done have all gone down the tubes in just the past four days.

The volcanic ash emitted into the Earth's atmosphere in the past four days has totally erased every single effort you have made to reduce the evil beast, carbon.

I'm so sorry. And I do wish I had a silver lining to this volanic ash cloud but the fact of the matter is that the brush fire season across the western U.S.A. will start in about two months and those fires will negate your efforts to reduce carbon in our world for the next two years.

But hey, grab a Coke, give the world a hug and have a nice day!

United Nations Points To ClimateGate Hackers and Likens Them To Watergate

The forces of world global control based upon climate change legislation are really digging for an out due to the scandal of "ClimateGate" so now, the United Nations is trying to deflect any wrong-doing of the scientists on the global warming front to the so-called hackers that uncovered the incriminating evidence. Yes, that's right - the United Nations has decided to focus on the illegal activities of those uncovering the evidence than looking at the evidence that was uncovered.

Maybe I'm crazy but this seems to be like looking at the case of "Cold Cash" Jefferson, the Congressman found to have thousands of bribe money in his freezer, and saying that Rep. Jefferson was the victim in that case because the FBI agents who uncovered his illegal activities were probably motivated by allegiance to conservative values.

Let's look at what was said in this report from the Times Online:

Mr van Ypersele said that publication of the e-mails had undermined efforts by the IPCC to convince the 192 countries at Copenhagen that they needed to act fast on emissions.
"One effect of this is to make scientists lose lots of time checking things.
"We are spending a lot of useless time discussing this rather than spending time preparing information for the negotiators."
He rejected claims by sceptics that the e-mails showed efforts had been made to manipulate the data to exaggerate the warming trend.

And here, we see U.N. officials BLATANTLY calling for all scrutinization of the data collecting of the Climate change scientists to be called off:

"This is not 'climategate' it's 'hackergate'. Let's not forget the word 'gate' refers to a place [Watergate] where data was stolen by people who were paid to do so. So the media should direct its investigations into that."

As most of you know, this isn't a subject I really care to blog about - not that I don't care about it and that it's important but it isn't my thing. But this is so blatantly biased and coerced that I couldn't let it go. If anyone can look at these statements and not conclude that their is a world-wide conspiracy to invoke the iron fist legislation of climate change upon world governments and the people of this planet, you've gotta be higher than a kite.

Climategate controversy has echoes of Watergate, UN says

UN officials likened the Climategate controversy to Watergate today, claiming that computer hackers who stole thousands of e-mails sent by a senior climate scientist were probably paid to do it by people intent on undermining the Copenhagen summit.
Jean-Pascal van Ypersele, vice-chairman of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), said the theft from the University of East Anglia's Climatic Research Unit (CRU) was not the work of amateur climate sceptics but a sophisticated and well-funded attempt to destroy public confidence in the science of man-made climate change.
He said the fact that the e-mails were first uploaded to a sceptic website from a computer in Russia was an indication that the culprit was paid.
"It's very common for hackers in Russia to be paid for their services.

"If you look at that mass of e-mails a lot of work was done, not only to download the data but it's a carefully made selection of e-mails and documents that's not random at all. This is 13 years of data and it's not a job of amateurs."
"It doesn't change anything in the IPCC's conclusions. It's only one line of evidence out of dozens of lines of evidence."
Achim Steiner, director of the UN Environment Programme, said the theft of e-mails had echoes of the Watergate scandal.
"This is not 'climategate' it's 'hackergate'. Let's not forget the word 'gate' refers to a place [Watergate] where data was stolen by people who were paid to do so. So the media should direct its investigations into that."
The hackers obtained the e-mails by breaking into a computer at the University of East Anglia. Professor Phil Jones, director of the CRU, has agreed to stand down during an independent review of the affair.
The first hack was in October or earlier and the e-mails were not leaked until mid-November. Sceptics allege that Professor Jones’s e-mails show that climate change data was manipulated and that scientists discussed how to suppress alternative views.
They were posted with a message, apparently from the hackers, which said: “We feel that climate science is, in the current situation, too important to be kept under wraps. We hereby release a random selection of correspondence, code, and documents. Hopefully it will give some insight into the science and the people behind it.”
The e-mails, which were sent over a 15-year period ending on November 12, first appeared on websites run by sceptics on November 17.
Almost a month before they were posted on a website popular with climate-change sceptics, the hacked data was sent to a BBC weatherman who had previously expressed his doubts about climate science on his blog.
The BBC has now confirmed that Paul Hudson received some of the documents on October 12. But no story was broadcast or printed by Mr Hudson or the corporation.
Then, on November 17, someone hacked into realclimate.org, a popular website among climate scientists. The hackers put all of the UEA e-mails and documents on the realclimate website, using a computer based in Turkey.
But the website’s owners responded quickly, shutting down the site within a few minutes.
Finally, using a computer in Saudi Arabia, the hackers posted a link on The Air Vent blog, a site popular among climate sceptics. The link sent readers to a file that was stored on computers in Russia. Only then did others begin to pick up on the story.
Reports today suggest that the Tomcity server based in the Siberian town of Tomsk was used to upload the e-mails on to the web.
The server is used mainly by Tomsk State University, one of the leading academic institutions in Russia, and other scientific institutes, according to the Mail on Sunday.

Climate Change - The Assertion

From the official site of the United Nations Climate Change Conference:

At present the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere is about 385 ppm (parts per million). Before industrialization it was about 280 ppm. Analyses of air contained in ice from the Antarctic ice cap show that there is far more CO2 in the air today than at any time in the last 650,000 years.
The consequence is that the greenhouse effect is becoming stronger, and therefore the earth is becoming warmer. How much warmer has, however, been a matter of dispute. The most recent assessment report from the IPCC is from 2007. It concludes that the earth’s average temperature has risen by 0.74 degrees in the period from 1906 to 2005. The warming is stronger over land areas than over the sea, and accordingly it is strongest in the northern hemisphere. At the same time occurrences of heat waves and violent downpours have also increased, the oceans have risen, and the ice at the world’s poles and on its mountains has begun to melt. All of these effects are predictable in the event of global warming.
The IPCC’s most recent assessment report concludes that the average temperature will continue to rise, but that the extent and the duration of this rise, and the severity of its consequences, depend on how quickly and how effectively emissions of greenhouse gases can be restricted and, over time, reduced.

Why Wait For Cap and Trade?! EPA Moves Forward With Clamp Down On "Greenhouse Gas" Emitters

Okay folks...get ready to redo your monthly budget ...again. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has decided to move forward with its regulations of serious emitters of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere by using the authority that they say the Clean Air Act gives them. So, those of you that get your electricity from a power plants that burns clean coal can get ready to start writing monthly electric bills up to $100 more than last year. What? That doesn't make you happy? Oh c'mon! We will probably feel the Earth cool down in just a matter of months once this policing and fining begins!

From the article at Breitbart:

EPA moves to regulate smokestack greenhouse gases

WASHINGTON (AP) - The Environmental Protection Agency took steps Wednesday to control the emissions blamed for global warming from power plants, factories and refineries for the first time.
The EPA proposal would require polluters to reduce six greenhouse gases by installing the best available technology and improving energy efficiency whenever a facility is significantly changed or built. The rule applies to any industrial plant that emits at least 25,000 tons of greenhouse gases a year.

These large sources are responsible for 70 percent of the greenhouse gas emissions—mainly carbon dioxide from burning fossil fuels—that are released in the U.S., the EPA said.
"By using the power and authority of the Clean Air Act, we can begin reducing emissions from the nation's largest greenhouse gas emitting facilities without placing an undue burden on the businesses that make up the vast majority of our economy," EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson said. "We know the corner coffee shop is not the meaningful place to look for carbon reductions."
Earlier this year, the Obama administration announced that it would start developing the first-ever greenhouse gas emissions standards for cars and trucks. Those regulations, which would take effect in 2010, compel the EPA to control greenhouse gases from large smokestacks as well, the agency said.
Industry groups immediately questioned the agency's argument. They charged that the EPA was skirting the law, since the Clean Air Act typically covers any facility releasing more than 250 tons a year of a recognized pollutant. That threshold would require more facilities to fall under the new regulations.
"This proposal incorrectly assumes that one industry's greenhouse gas emissions are worse than another's," said Charles T. Drevna, president of the National Petrochemical and Refiners Association.
Jeff Holmstead, a former top EPA air pollution official who is now a lobbyist for the energy industry, said the agency was trying to "fit a square peg into a round hole."
"Normally, it takes an act of Congress to change the words of a statute enacted by Congress, and many of us are very curious to see EPA's legal justification for today's proposal," Holmstead said.
Jackson, speaking at a news conference at a climate change summit being hosted by California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, said the rule was legally defensible.
"EPA would not propose a rule that did not make legal sense," she said.
The EPA's announcement came hours after Senate Democrats unveiled legislation that would set limits on the amount of greenhouse gases from large industrial sources. The Senate bill, unlike the House-passed version, preserves the EPA's authority to regulate under the Clean Air Act.
Environmentalists said Wednesday the two efforts go hand-in-hand.
"You can't have one without the other if we're going to be successful in moving America to clean energy," said Emily Figdor, director of the global warming program at Environment America, an advocacy group.
The move will likely increase pressure on Congress to pass a bill to avoid less-flexible, and what Republicans said would be more costly, regulations. Supporters of the legislation have already used pending EPA rules as leverage to get Congress to act.
Senate Republicans have already attempted to block the EPA from issuing regulations to buy more time for Congress to work on a bill. At least one Republican leader, Sen. James Inhofe of Oklahoma, said Wednesday that Congress would try to stop the EPA again.

Why Did Van Jones Throw In The Towel So Quickly?

You know, the blogosphere has been buzzing with the news of Van Jones' resignation from his czar post in Obama's administration and even some of the MSM has mentioned the story. But I wondered to myself....."this guy went out without much of a fight, didn't he? Why?"

It is my opinion that Van Jones' early exit, when quite frankly, the MSM was not even really into the whole controversy yet, was due to the fact that the Communist machinery in America pulled the plug on Mr. Jones. Now, I have made the contention that the communist movement in America has been around for decades and decades, if not a bit over a century. America's capitalism has always been the jeweled trophy in the eyes of the communists. We have seen these scoundrels keep to the shadows over the years but with the election of their catalyst, Barack Hussein Obama, the communists in America have gotten bolder and bolder. Their plans are now in the open and they have successfully put their people into the positions of power that they needed. But, and this is a huge but, they have still tried to camouflage their policies and plans in a veil of "other" issues - for example, nationalized health care or socialized medicine is a pretty blatant example of the socialistic agenda but the communists have disquised this all in this dress of "the public option" and some sort of entitlement.

So, you might be thinking that Van Jones was forced to resign by his communist masters because his volatility was creating problems for the passage of national health care. That is not correct. Remember, Van Jones was the "Green Czar" - this was a man who was going to take climate change legislation and rewrite the future of America. And I am here to tell you that Van Jones is just the latest in a long string of communists who have specified the environment as the means to subvert capitalism in America. Let's look at past communists and how their views nearly mirror Jones', from Conservapedia:

Havel Wolf member of the Seattle Audubon Society says “The Communist Party USA’s environmental program “presents a viable plan to carry out on the long march to socialism.” --1998

Gus Hall National chairman of the Communist Party, USA in 1972. “Human society cannot basically stop the destruction of the environment under capitalism. Socialism is the only structure that makes it possible.”

Louis Proyect of Columbia University, “The answer to global warming is in the abolition of private property and production for human need. A socialist world would place an enormous priority on alternative energy sources. This is what ecologically-minded socialists have been exploring for quite some time now.”
So, you can see this certainly hasn't been some unique communist angle taken up since Al Gore stumbled upon An Inconvenient Truth. And this is where Jones became a severe liability, because today's communist machine in America knew that with the spotlight on Van Jones, even if it was concerning totally unrelated charges like his support of trutherism, they could risk their plan of cloaking him in the takeover role as a Green Czar. Let's face it, the communists in America have used the climate change fervor to literally infiltrate all of American government and even America's business - I don't have to tell you how General Electric is operating more like a government-run entity than certainly any form of capitalistic private sector company.

So, Van Jones became a huge liability and in very short order. The puppet masters of America's communist movement will also help ensure that there isn't any huge protest over the resignation of Van Jones - you see, they want him to go away as quickly and completely as possible.

The Global Warming Cult Stands Accused

This really is an excellent piece written by Alan Caruba over at Family Security Matters. Read this over and just TRY to add up the dollar figures that will be spent in this world based on the fraud and hoax of global warming.

I Accuse!
Alan Caruba

In 1898, an article by the great French novelist, Emile Zola was published in L’Aurore. It was addressed to the President of France. Zola accused the military of having wrongly convicted Capt. Alfred Dreyfus, a Jewish artillery officer, of treason, incarcerating him for years on Devil’s Island. The title of the article was “J’Accuse!” Zola’s courage has been an inspiration for writers ever since.

It is in this spirit that I issue my own version of “I Accuse.”

I accuse the United Nations environmental program in general and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change in particular of creating a huge hoax, “global warming”, in order to reduce energy use and to create a phony market for so-called “carbon credits,” based on the lie that carbon dioxide plays a role in the alleged warming process.

The Earth is not warming. It is cooling. Meteorologists, climatologists, and solar physicists agree that it has been cooling for at least a decade and predict the cooling will continue for several decades to come.

I accuse the President of the United States and politicians from both political parties for engaging in this deception for their own purposes, while ignoring the peril to the nation’s economy and future. Billions have been and continue to be misallocated to bogus “solutions” such as solar and wind power, the mandate for an ethanol mixture with gasoline, and the construction of a vast regulatory and grant-making apparatus based on the global warming hoax.

I accuse the Obama administration and those members of Congress of seeking to impose a “Cap-and-Trade” bill based entirely on the hoax. It would tax all energy use in America, thus increasing the cost of energy while further reducing the personal income and savings of all Americans. It would codify a bogus market for carbon credits.

I accuse all of the scientists who sought to justify global warming by deliberately publishing falsely documented studies or studies that purported to justify the hoax by attributing natural phenomena to global warming. I accuse them of engaging in such practices to advance their careers and for accepting government largess to further the hoax.

I accuse the academic community for permitting their publications and research programs to be corrupted by the global warming hoax and for lending the prestige of their institutions to its advancement.

I accuse those elements of the nation’s and the world’s media for advancing the global warming hoax in the face of increasing evidence that it is not occurring. It cannot occur at a time when solar activity is decreasing, thus reducing the radiation responsible for much of the Earth’s warming.

I accuse those media that continue to advance the global warming hoax via print and electronic broadcasting. I accuse all print and electronic journalists of failing their responsibility to investigate the bogus science put forth and for deliberately disparaging those scientists and others who disputed it, calling them “deniers.”

I accuse the U.S. Department of Education for the corruption of the nation’s school curriculums, using them to spread the hoax and indoctrinate thousands of students passing through the system with the belief that global warming exists. I accuse every publisher of school texts that advances this hoax.

I accuse former Vice President Gore of advancing the greatest hoax of the modern era and those who joined with him, awarded him honors, and sought to enrich themselves by doing so.

I accuse all the “environmental” organizations such as the Sierra Club, Friends of the Earth, and all others that have spent millions to advance the hoax to advance their collective and individual agendas.

I accuse the Environmental Protection Agency of falsely asserting that carbon dioxide is a “pollutant” that must be regulated when it is essential to all life on the planet. It is vital for all plant life and plays no role in climate change except to react to it.

I accuse the EPA, Department of Energy, and Department of the Interior, in collusion with many “Green” organizations, of thwarting the construction of coal-fired and nuclear plants to generate the energy necessary to the growth and expansion of the nation’s economy, general welfare, and security.

Lastly, I applaud those many courageous scientists from various disciplines and all others who have stepped forth to denounce the global warming theory with the presentation of legitimate science. The entire world is in their debt.

What Will Happen Under Cap and Trade? Just Take A Look At What It's Doing To Britain

For those of you voters who have been asked to contact your U.S. Senator to encourage him or her to vote for a similar bill that the House passed on Cap and Trade/Climate Change, take a minute to look at this story about what is going on in Great Britain. If you read this article and STILL want Cap and Trade then perhaps your next act should be to gather with the rest of the lemmings and march away off the cliffs straight into the Pacific or Atlantic ocean. The story is from Times Online:

Low-carbon strategy will raise household energy bills by £200 a year

Household energy bills will rise by more than £200 a year under the Government’s low-carbon strategy being announced next week.
Meeting Britain’s targets for cutting emissions could push another 1.7 million households into fuel poverty, meaning that seven million homes would be spending more than 10 per cent of their income on fuel.
The Renewable Energy Strategy, to be published on Wednesday, will state that more than £100 billion will have to be invested in renewable energy infrastructure, including 7,000 wind turbines, by 2020.
The Government has bound itself legally to cutting CO2 emissions by 34 per cent by 2020 and 80 per cent by 2050. To achieve this, it must increase the amount of energy generated from renewable sources from 2 per cent at present to 15 per cent by 2020.

The strategy estimates that energy bills will have to rise by about 20 per cent to pay for the investment. The average household currently pays about £1,150 a year for electricity and gas, a small decline on last year but still double the amount paid in 2003.
The cost of converting to renewable energy and modernising Britain’s power supply would add about £230 to annual bills. Costs are likely to ratchet up quickly as the investment is made, with the increase reaching 20 per cent within three years.
Industry estimates due to be published next week will take an even gloomier view and claim that bills could rise by 30 per cent.
Ed Miliband, the Energy and Climate Change Secretary, admitted to The Times that energy bills would rise, but said that the carbon-reduction targets were not the only factor. “There is upward pressure on energy prices whether you go for a high-carbon or a low-carbon alternative,” he said. “The costs of not acting on climate change far outweigh than the costs of acting.”
Derek Lickorish, chairman of the government-appointed Fuel Poverty Advisory Group, urged ministers to introduce measures to protect poorer families from rising energy prices.“We need decisive action on energy efficiency and social tariffs or many hundreds of thousands more pensioners, families and disabled people will struggle to afford their energy bills,” he said.
Ministers are expected to announce a “pay-while-you-save” scheme under which families can spread the cost of home insulation, paying by instalments based on the amounts they save by consuming less energy.
John Sauven, director of Greenpeace, said that higher energy bills would be accompanied by massive investment in renewable energy, with 250,000 new jobs and the opportunity to turn Britain into a world leader in low-carbon technology.
A White Paper detailing how Britain will make the transition to being a low-carbon economy will also be published on Wednesday. It will contain measures designed to accelerate plans to slash Britain’s dependency on fossil fuels such as coal, gas and oil for electricity generation from the current level of 78 per cent.
The White Paper will include predictions that Britain will have to cut its gas consumption by nearly 30 per cent by 2025 and coal by 34 per cent. Consumption of petrol and diesel will also have to fall by 10 per cent by 2020.

Global Warming Alert For Prius Owners

The eruption of the undersea volcano off of Tonga today spewed smoke and ash into the atmosphere releasing enough carbon to negate the carbon savings of driving your Prius the entire time you've owned it. Actually, the volcano contributed enough carbon into the Earth's atmosphere that it will negate your driving your Prius for a lifetime AND all of the rest of the owners of EVERY Prius on the planet. In fact, every "green" measure instituted worldwide over the past five years was nixed by today's volcanic eruption.

But hey, thanks for giving it a shot folks!
