The IDIOTS That Represent Us

We live in a Constitutional Republic.  We democratically elect those that represent us in government.  We have chosen and elected....IDIOTS.

The article comes from Family Security Matters.

On the Topic of Guns, Accoutrements, and the Idiots Who ‘Represent’ Us

I have had just about enough of the queue of lambasting idiots whose sole desire is to control every aspect of American's lives. Their bloated exhortations about things they obviously know nothing about has risen to the level of epidemic. What is more troublesome is that there seems to be an unending assortment and number of mixed nuts fully prepared to accept any edict these windbags hand down from their lofty "thrones" in the City of the Dead (DC) while the combined knowledge of both exhorter and audience, if melted down and strained couldn't fill a thimble!

I am sick to the point of retching of listening to the absolute nonsensical sputtering about firearms by those who can't differentiate between a butt stock and a flash suppressor so here is a short lesson in nomenclature to make you sound less stupid:

FIRST, they are not "clips", they are magazines and the semi-automatic AR-15 is not "an assault rifle" any more than a baseball bat, hammer, kitchen knife, scarf, rope, lead pipe, pipe wrench, automobile, hands, feet, stick, screw driver, torch, et al all of which have been used at one time or another to "assault" someone by a deranged person.

The "shoulder thingy that goes up" is a folding butt stock on a very few long guns most notably, the SPAS shotgun which is no longer manufactured. The correct description of what this particular dingbat in Congress was trying to describe, is, an adjustable butt stock. Its crime is making itself available for shooters of varying shapes and sizes - including women for whom many rifles are too large to fire accurately and painlessly.

A bayonet lug is a superfluous piece of equipment - for almost anyone, in or out of uniform and does not contribute to the mental deficiency that denies a person the ability to know it is wrong to kill. A sling swivel is a mounting point for a sling which is used in competition and to carry a rifle over the shoulder for most civilians and while there are some really neat 1, 2 and 3 point slings on the market, no one except a seasoned and well-trained professional has a need for it or would even know how to use it. And NO; it does not make the rifle more lethal or the operator more proficient.

A flash suppressor is not a lethal device. It is used to reduce the light signature of escaping gases from the muzzle of the rifle so the enemy has a more difficult time registering your position and dropping mortars and artillery on your head. Being as there isn't much in the way of danger from ordinance here in the civilian world, it is superfluous. And just because it is superfluous is no reason to ban it. It does not make the rifle more lethal or the operator more proficient. It does, however, make the rifle compliant with long distance rifle matches hosted around the country and at Camp Perry every year.

A pistol grip has sent many a "sensitive anti-gunner" into orbit. Here's the skinny: All things being equal, I prefer a straight stock. Contorting your hand and wrist to accommodate a pistol grip actually take some practice and again, does nothing to make the rifle more lethal or the operator more proficient. So, get over it!

A magazine with any number of rounds is of ZERO use to someone who is not well-trained with the rifle or handgun it supports and no; Newtown doesn't count because at the grand distance of about 25 feet, he could have caused as much damage with a pile of rocks.

Magazines hold cartridges - not bullets! The ammunition that the Military uses does not possess "magical properties" delivering greater lethality. The fact is, military grade ammunition is designed to meet the requirements of the Geneva Conventions which requires full metal jacket bullets to reduce expansion and associated lethality which in turn reduces damage to the flesh, increasing the probability of survival. This also, then makes this ammunition terrible for hunting. In comparison, a hunting bullet, fired from even a bolt action rifle is far more lethal.

Finally; for all of you "sheeple" who mindlessly "feel" your way to decisions that could ultimately eliminate first the 2nd Amendment and eventually, the entire Bill of Rights; get your bloody heads out of the clouds and do a little research so you won't appear to be the blustering idiots you currently sound like. And if you insist on allowing others to represent your sorry opinions of something that is no more than a tool, in the hands of a law abiding citizen, at least get someone who doesn't make the rest of us feel embarrassed to be a member of the same species!

If any of you, left of center would like legitimate questions answered...please feel free to ask them. And no; I will not get drawn into an inane conversation filled with semantics and sensationalism. The fact is, our murder rate isn't even half of what the United Kingdom's is even though there are no more firearms available to their "subjects". Currently the weapon of choice in "merry ole England" is a knife which Parliament is in the process of outlawing.

In this country, last year, 323 people were killed by someone brandishing an AR-15 or AK-47 style, semi-automatic rifle while in that same year, nearly 700 people were killed by a hammer!

How About a Newt Gingrich - Allen West Ticket for November 2012?

Newt Gingrich is such a loose cannon. He says three things I love and then completely decimates conservatism with the fourth. At a Palm Beach County fundraiser, Gingrich said if he wins the Republican nomination for president he will "strongly consider" a Floridian as his running mate. He specifically mentioned new Republican Congressman Allen West, an American hero by every measure and a true conservative, which Gingrich is not.

When West was asked about the Gingrich statement he said this:
“I have to pray about it and I have to clear it with my wife and two daughters,” he added. “I never thought that seven years ago when I retired here I’d be a United States Congressman.”
I would come close to voting for whomever puts West on the ticket for Vice President, because I believe he will hold that person's feet to fire. The other bonus is, I would have the opportunity to vote for West for president in 2020.

How I would love to see West as a VP candidate! Read about West and the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) here. Watch West's CPAC 2011 video here. Allen West on The Patriot Act. Watch an incredible speech by West on Empowering Your Spirit. Read about West's amazing military career, and how he did the most he could to protect the men and women serving under him.

Black Woman In Wisconsin Running For State Assembly Can't Use " NOT the whiteman's bitch" On Election Ballot

Somethings you just have to see to believe. Good grief.

The story from Breitbart.

Wis. candidate can't use controversial description

MADISON, Wis. (AP) - An election oversight board says a legislative candidate can't use a profane, racially charged phrase to describe herself on the Wisconsin ballot.
Ieshuh (eye-EE'-shu) Griffin, of Milwaukee, is an independent running for the state Assembly. She contends free speech allows her to use the phrase, "NOT the 'whiteman's b----.'"

State law lets independent candidates list five words after their names on the ballot. The state Government Accountability Board ruled Wednesday that Griffin's choice was pejorative and not allowed.

Three of the five members of the all-white board who voted actually support Griffin, who is black. Four were needed for approval.

Griffin says she will seek an injunction in federal court to let her use the phrase.

The Holger Diaries: The Huckabee "Christmas" Ad

Okay, the whole MSM is abuzz with Mike Huckabee's latest political campaign ad in which Huckabee has the outright gall to mention "Christmas" and Christ and even has a Cross in the background! The outrage is filling the airwaves and LAN lines as I type here.

So, of course, I have a bone to pick on this issue, or non-issue as I'd call it. Before I go any further, I will state that I am not supporting Gov. Mike Huckabee for the Republican nomination for President. Not that you care, but I have some serious issues with how adamant Huckabee is on islamofascism, the War on Terror and national security. So, I make that disclaimer so no one can accuse me of just being some tainted Huckabee campaigner.

I won't get into all of the reasons for the uproar over the Huckabee ad here but want to focus on one comment that I've heard over and over again today on newscasts when the illustrious political analsysts (75% are Dems, you ever notice that?) have been asked whether the Huckabee ad will help him or hurt him.

I heard two different analysts today say that the ad "will help Huckabee with the Evangelicals." And that is where I have this ugly old bone to pick. When is some newscaster or blogger, for that matter, ever going to look one of these analysts in the eye and ask them: "Excuse me, but what exactly determines if one is an 'Evangelical'?" That's the quetion I want answered but I'm sure these pundits have no clue. They have conjured up some idea of a cult of Evangelical Christians that meets on Sunday mornings in some cave on the border of Missouri and Kentucky...they perform eerie chants to Jesus Christ and do a whole lot of praying and then they also get up at some pulpit and review their national political strategy and battle plan.

Well, political analysts, it is my contention that Huckabee's ad is going to play well, yes, but with Christians. You don't have to compartmentalize everyone in this country folks - as much as you'd like to divide the people of faith in this country into specific categories, sometimes that just doesn't work.

I am a Christian. With that being said, I rejoiced in seeing Huckabee's ad. The United States of America is approximately 77% Christian and yet you political hacks and MSM newscasters have the nerve to cry foul at an ad that speaks of Christmas? Over 200 million people in this Country celebrate Christmas, folks! So one asks, "Holger, don't you understand that there's a conflict of church and state here?" And to that I respond, "What??!!" First off, the separation of church and state was penned by our founding fathers to keep the government out of their churches, NOT to keep the churches out of the government, so go back and read your history again. Secondly, the MSM is quick to question just how viable Mitt Romney is a candidate because he is Mormon. I cry foul! You can't have it both ways fools. You can't admit that Romney's religious persuasion affects the voters without admitting that Huckabee's preacher status and commitment to Jesus Christ has a similar affect.

I say to all of you critics of Huckabee's ad: Go and take a drive around town this Sunday morning. Drive by every church you can find and count the number of empty parking spaces in those church parking lots. Don't worry about taking a calculator because you will probably only need the fingers on one hand. That IS your electorate people. They aren't "Evangelicals", they are Christians. Their faith is key to every facet of their lives, including the people they elect to lead them. Is it the only factor they look at in a President? Of course not. But the fact of the matter is that many of us have seen the attack on Christianity in this society and it is steadily increasing. And many of us are ready to do anything to stop it. Anything.

To quote Mitt Romney, "their can be no freedom without religion." And that speaks to the fact that Huckabee's ad is spot on. Go ahead, you MSM know-it-alls, go ahead and poll the American people about that ad. I dare you. I double dare you. Oh, and report back to us exactly what percentage of Americans cheered that ad. You won't, I know you won't. Oh ye of little faith.

Reason #273 NOT To Vote For Hillary Clinton

Read this gem from Senator Hillary Clinton:

“Our troops are the best in the world; if you increase their numbers they are going to make a difference,” Mrs. Clinton said in a statement after her aides were asked about her views on the ebbing violence in Baghdad.
“The fundamental point here is that the purpose of the surge was to create space for political reconciliation and that has not happened, and there is no indication that it is going to happen, or that the Iraqis will meet the political benchmarks,” she said. “We need to stop refereeing their civil war and start getting out of it.”

Let's dissect this from the woman who wants to lead the Free World:

1. So she agrees the Surge has worked - she admits it , that the troops "make a difference." So she admits the Surge has been effective yet as little as two months ago she looked General Petraeus in the eyes and said his update on progress required "a willing suspension of disbelief." What is it Senator Clinton? A lie or a success?

2. Hillary Clinton, whom some have put out there as a brilliant mind, is clueless. She states that "the purpose of the surge was to create space for political reconciliation..." The surge's purpose was to reduce attacks, stablize security and to eliminate al Qaeda forces.

3. Finally, this wannabe Commander-in-Chief wants us to "stop refereeing their civil war" - again, buy a clue! At this stage in the war and after documented evidence of just why the surge has worked...and after reviewing the countless pages of intelligence and battlefield reports, a yellow labrador in Ames, Iowa could tell you that the success has been due to the ouster of al Qaeda in Iraq! But I forgot, Senator Clinton - your strategy along with the Dems and the MSM all along has been to deny and minimize that al Qaeda was the real enemy in Iraq. You, once again, thought you could pull the wool over the eyes of the American people (or as you refer to us, "sheep"). Sorry lady - you were wrong, you have stayed wrong and you will always be wrong.

It is appalling that this idiotic person even holds a political post in our government, let alone has the 'nads to put her hat in the ring to run our Country. If she can't get this right, how is she going to handle all the really complicated stuff?
