Why Did It Take 4 Years To Bring Nidal Hasan To Trial When He Admits His Guilt Today?

Why is it that Muslim terrorist Nidal Hasan had 4 years before he came to trial when the likes of George Zimmerman and other "non-Muslim" Americans were brought to trial in less than 1/4 of that time?  Because Nidal Hasan is a damn Muslim, that's why.  Muslims in America are part of the privileged class don't you know - the political correctness regime in America will see to it that Hasan gets every break in the world but you damn Christians and Jews, you'd have been swinging from the gallows years ago.

Oh and by the way, there will still be a ton of main stream media talking heads that will refuse to call this bastard a jihadi.

The story comes from Times of India.

US shooting trial: Fort Hood accused admits to firing

FORT HOOD: A US army psychiatrist admitted on Tuesday to opening fire on fellow soldiers at the Fort Hood military base, as he took charge of his own defense at a high-profile trial.

"The evidence will clearly show I am the shooter," declared Major Nidal Malik Hasan, who has fired his lawyers and is representing himself, in his opening statement.

Hasan, who has previously admitted to killing 13 people and wounding 32 others in the 2009 attack at Fort Hood, faces the death penalty if convicted.

Military law prohibits him from pleading guilty to a capital offense and so Hasan has been given the opportunity to try to convince a jury of 13 officers that he does not deserve death for his actions.

"It could be the opening salvo for him to talk about jihad and to tell the jury he is justified in what he did," said Jeff Addicott, a terrorism law expert from St. Mary's University.

The attack jolted the US military and prompted calls for stronger safeguards against internal security threats and "homegrown" terror attacks.

Nearly four years after being attacked in what should have been the safety of a protected base, survivors are steeling themselves to be cross-examined by Hasan, the man who shot them.

Military judge Colonel Tara Osborn will try to ensure Hasan does not use the high-profile trial as a platform to espouse extreme views and that he treats witnesses with respect.

Shawn Manning, a mental health specialist in the same unit as Hasan who was shot six times, said he was dreading the prospect of being cross-examined by his former colleague.

"A guy who tried to murder you and your friends, and you have to be cordial and nice, it is going to be difficult," Manning told AFP as he prepared to testify later in the week.

"In a lot of ways, I hope he doesn't ask me any questions, but I've prepared myself."

Manning is the lead plaintiff in a lawsuit urging the military to reclassify the shooting as "terrorism" instead of the current designation of "workplace violence," which offers less compensation to victims.

Osborn has barred prosecutors from mentioning terrorism as a motive and prohibited Hasan from using a "defense of others" strategy to justify his actions.

Hasan, 42, was due to deploy to Afghanistan weeks after the attack. He has said that he shot soldiers to protect his fellow Muslims from an "illegal" war.

Three weeks before the shooting, according to prosecutors, Hasan told a doctor: "They have another thing coming if they think they are going to deploy me."

As he prepared to kill as many soldiers as possible, Hasan read jihadist writings by Taliban leaders and wrapped ammunition magazines in paper towels so people wouldn't hear them clinking in his pockets, prosecutors said.

Born in the eastern US state of Virginia to Palestinian parents, Hasan joined the army in 1995.

It was during a residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center from 2003 to 2006 that Hasan first exhibited signs of radical Islamic views, according to an FBI report entitled "A Ticking Time Bomb."

Hasan attended a mosque where radical US-born cleric Anwar al-Awlaki — a key figure in al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula until his death in a 2011 drone strike in Yemen — worked in 2001.

He exchanged emails with Awlaki in the months leading up to the shooting in which he questioned the morality of killing soldiers if they intended to attack Muslims. Awlaki later called Hasan a hero.

Hasan has managed to delay the trial with various legal maneuvers and a lengthy battle over whether he could violate military rules by wearing a beard.

Osborn has estimated the trial could last anywhere between one and four months.

More than 250 witnesses are set to testify against Hasan, including family members of each of the 13 killed in the shooting and the 32 soldiers and civilians who were wounded.

Hasan has said he only intends to call two witnesses in his defense.

Fort Hood Shooter Continues to Collect $278,000 Army Salary

Instead of Nidal Hasan being hanged or having been cut down by a firing squad for his Islamic terror attack on Fort Hood where he murdered 13, he has been sitting and waiting and protesting his trial and has had pussy judges agree with his claims and all along, the guy has been paid his military salary.  Yep.  You and me have paid this man close to $300,000 AFTER he cut down our soldiers on American soil.

If Nidal Hasan had been John Smith (a Christian) he would have been tried, convicted and executed 18 months ago.

The story comes from The Clarion Project.

Fort Hood Shooter Continues to Collect $278,000 Army Salary

An exclusive investigation by the NBC affiliate in Dallas-Fort Worth has revealed that Major Nidal Hasan, the radicalized Muslim army psychiatrist who killed 13 and wounded 32 in a shooting spree in Fort Hood, Texas, is still being paid his army salary. The Department of Defense confirmed that Hasan has collected $278,000 since his November 5, 2009 attack on fellow service personnel.

Since a trial has yet to be held, Hasan officially has not been proven guilty. He is thus eligible under the Army’s Military Code of Justice to collect his salary and have access to the money (along with his family).

NBC reports that there is a possibility that, if proven guilty, the Army could demand from Hasan the cost of treating the wounds he incurred when a policeman shot him to stop the attack. However, military officials refused to disclose to the network whether or not they will ask for such a payment.

Meanwhile, since the government has designated the attack as “workplace violence,” Army personnel who were wounded in the attack are not eligible for medical and other enhanced benefits given to soldiers wounded at war or during the 9/11 attack on the Pentagon.

Hasan had become radicalized, in part, through correspondence with notorious Al-Qaeda leader Anwar Al-Alaki, a correspondence that the FBI was aware of, yet failed to act on. Hasan yelled “Allahu Akbar (God is great)” during the attack.

WTF?!? Nidal Hasan Promoted To Lieutenant Colonel And Awarded The Legion Of Merit!!! UPDATED!

By Findalis

Major Nidal Hasan walked into the Soldier Readiness Processing Center at Fort Hood, Texas and opened fire upon his fellow soldiers shouting "Allah Akbar!".  13 men and women were killed, 29 were wounded.  Major Hasan was paralyzed in the attack.  This was 4 years ago.

In the "bad" old days, Hasan would have been in front of a  Courts-martial, tried and executed by now.  But since it happened under President Barack Hussein Obama, he still hasn't entered a plea.  His trial is suppose to begin on May 29th.

Hasan hasn't shaved in 4 years claiming religious reasons.  In the "bad" old days he would have been held down and forcefully shaved.  But under the new PC military, he has been allowed to keep his beard.  He still receives his salary and was recently promoted to Lieutenant Colonel.  To add salt to the wound, he was awarded the Legion of Merit.
FORT LEAVENWORTH, KS — Army officials have confirmed that Nidal Hasan was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel yesterday in a small and solemn ceremony in the gathering room of Fort Leavenworth’s maximum security prison.

The alleged mastermind behind the Fort Hood Shootings was ecstatic about the crossing of a major milestone in his military career and thanked all those in attendance. Meanwhile, protests were held outside the base, with people chanting “justice for the victims” and “don’t promote.” One participant stated that this ceremony was a “slap in the face of all the victims” from the massacre. Base officials refused to comment, declaring that Hassan’s promotion was decided months ago by personnel management officials.

When asked about the promotion, Major General William Hewitt, Commanding General of Human Resources Command (HRC), stated that Hasan’s personnel record was not negatively flagged by the chain of command and that by regulation the “Army had no choice but to award promotion to the service member.” When asked to elaborate about how such an oversight could occur, the general stated that the Army’s electronic human resources systems were undergoing upgrades that may have affected Hasan’s status.

“HRC has been physically migrating its systems to a new building at Fort Knox [Human Resources Command Headquarters] after the discovery of asbestos and mold in the current data storage warehouse. Unfortunately the files have been moved to a computer system that is not yet Y2K compliant. This might have affected the records of hundreds of personnel, including Hasan.”

During an investigation of Hasan’s service record, The Duffel Blog obtained several evaluation reports detailing the officer’s performance history. Of note is one report covering the period during Hasan’s alleged shooting spree. His superior officer, Colonel Nathan Butterworth, stated that Hasan has an excellent record stained with the occasional blemish.

“While not the best team player, Major Hasan has a peerless tactical mind with a demonstrated record of close quarters combat marksmanship.” Butterworth goes on to state “Major Hasan is an unparalleled asset to the Army. His capability to think like the enemy, allows him the ability to provide the military with a perspective not seen by the rest of the organization.”

Hasan also received a Legion of Merit from his superiors at Darnell Army Medical Center at Fort Hood upon Hasan’s transfer to Fort Leavenworth. Standard practice in the Army is to award soldiers a “Permanent Change of Station” award reflecting the sum total of their contributions while at their installation. Since Hasan’s movement to Leavenworth’s maximum security facility was technically a Permanent Change of Station, he was submitted for the award as a formality. The Legion of Merit was awarded during the same ceremony as Hasan’s promotion, although the officer presenting the award was forced to move Hasan’s beard to one side to affix it to his uniform.

The award now hangs inside Hasan’s cell, below a framed letter from Osama Bin Laden, congratulating Hasan on the “successful slaughter of dozens of infidels.”

Luckily, said Hewitt, the error was caught in time to prevent the promotion of SPC Bradley Manning, who allegedly leaked over 40,000 top-secret military and diplomatic documents to the WikiLeaks website in the largest confidential document dump in American history. His adverse action flag was restored before he could attain the rank of Sergeant.

Manning was reportedly disappointed in being removed from consideration, as he had already begun studying for the Sergeant Promotion Board, but at least has the consolation of having received a Good Conduct Medal during the interim. It is unknown at this time how many personnel received promotions and awards in error, and the Army Inspector General’s office is continue to investigate.

Under any other President, Hasan would have been executed by now and the attack would have been labelled an "Terrorist Attack".  But under the appeasement of Barack Hussein Obama, none of that has happened.  Instead this administration regime has bent over backwards in coddling Hasan.

If Hasan is convicted and sentenced to death I can see President Obama pardoning his sorry ass.  It is a shame that the shot that paralyzed this piece of human flotsam had killed him instead.

UPDATE:  Just discovered from a good source that this is satire.  Sorry about that folks.  But I don't put a pardon pass Obama.

Are YOU being satirical too?  This *story* originates on the DuffelBlog - link
