U.S. Hinted to France: Mossad Behind Elysee Palace Hacking


France believed the United States attempted to hack into its president's communications network but the U.S. hinted that Israel was behind the attack, AFP reported on Friday, based on a leaked U.S. intelligence document.

According to the report, U.S. agents denied having anything to do with the May 2012 cyber attack on the Elysee Palace, the official residence of French presidents, and appeared to hint at the possible involvement of the Mossad, Israel's intelligence agency.

The report is based on a classified internal note from the National Security Agency. Extracts from the document, the latest to emerge from the NSA via former contractor Edward Snowden, were published by Le Monde newspaper on Friday.

The document is a briefing note prepared in April this year for NSA officials who were due to meet two senior figures from France's external intelligence agency, the DGSE.

The French agents had travelled to Washington to demand explanations over their discovery in May 2012 of attempts to compromise the Elysee's communications systems.

The note says that the branch of the NSA which handles cyber attacks, Tailored Access Operations (TAO), had confirmed that it had not carried out the attack and says that most of its closest allies (Australia, Britain, Canada and New Zealand) had also denied involvement.

It goes on to note, "TAO intentionally did not ask either Mossad or (Israel's cyber intelligence unit) ISNU whether they were involved as France is not an approved target for joint discussions."

Le Monde interpreted this sentence as being an ironic reference to a strong likelihood that Mossad had been behind the attack.

The cyber attacks on the Elysee took place in the final weeks of Nicolas Sarkozy's term, between the two rounds of the presidential election which he ended up losing to Francois Hollande.

The attacks had been previously reported by French media, who have described them as an attempt to insert monitoring devices into the system but it remains unclear whether the presidential networks were compromised for any time.

Hollande said Friday that French intelligence services had identified "several leads" for the attacks, speaking in Brussels after EU summit talks, according to AFP.

He did not elaborate further, but his comments came after he and German Chancellor Angela Merkel pushed for Washington to agree on new rules on the conduct of intelligence gathering among allies.

Merkel herself has also reportedly been the target of U.S. espionage, with claims emerging this week the U.S. tapped her mobile phone.

"Spying between friends, that's just not done," an angry Merkel said Thursday at the start of the summit of European Union leaders, which was overshadowed by the issue.

The latest Le Monde report follows revelations published earlier this week that the NSA collected more than 70 million recordings of French citizens' telephone data - a claim contested by the top U.S. intelligence chief.

The Guardian reported on Thursday, also based on a classified document provided by Snowden, that the (NSA) monitored the phone conversations of 35 world leaders after being given the numbers by an official in another U.S. government department.

The leaders were not named. Responding to the report, a White House spokesman would only say that the United States “gathers foreign intelligence of the type gathered by all nations.”

The Saudis Caught A Mossad Agent!

Saudi Arabian security forces have captured a vulture that was carrying a global positioning satellite (GPS) transmitter and a ring etched with the words "Tel Aviv University." They suspect the bird of spying for Israel, Maariv-NRG reported Tuesday. The GPS and ring were connected to the bird as part of an long-term project by Israeli scientists that follows vultures' location and altitude for research purposes.

The arrest of the vulture - whose identification code is R65 - comes several weeks after an Egyptian official voiced the suspicion that a shark that attacked tourists off the Sinai shore was also acting on behalf of Mossad. The incidents may reflect a growing irrational hysteria among Arabs surrounding Israel's military prowess and the efficacy of its intelligence services, possibly fueled by the Stuxnet virus' success..

Maariv said that the R65 was caught near the home of a sheikh in the community of Hayel in Saudi Arabia. The words "Tel Aviv University" etched in English on a ring clasped to its leg, and especially the transmitter, caused the finders to suspect espionage and alert the security forces.

Ohad Hatzofe, bird ecologist for the Nature and Parks Authority, said that the vulture story has been making the rounds in Arabic internet sites, including Al-Jazeera forums and Arabic military forums. "The subject is receiving great publicity and it is important that Saudi authorities understand that it is not true. There is also an international treaty of nature protection professionals, that forbids doing things like this," he added.

The researchers said that seven vultures that were marked in Israel in the last few years reached Saudi Arabia. Transmissions from four of them have ceased and they are presumed dead. One vulture - beside R65 - is still alive and flying around Saudi Arabia, after spending the winter in Sudan.

This shows the true nature of the Muslim mind.  Not a rational thought in it.  Iran executing squirrels and pigeons as Israeli spies, Egypt claiming that the Mossad is sending Sharks to kill their tourists, now vultures in the skies of Saudi Arabia.  These reports make me wonder if anyone in the Muslim world is not insane, stupid and/or stoned out of their mind!

R65 and his/her companion are the only 2 vultures left alive, 4 being killed by the Saudis. R65 has completed his/her mission in the Sudan, is still over Saudi Arabia and will next be spying on the DNC. Perhaps Nixon should have used vultures instead of plumbers.

Polish Authorities Arrest Suspected Mossad Agent Involved In Dubai Assassination

This is a very "lean" story on the arrest of a suspected Mossad agent in Poland who is supposed to have been involved in the acquisition of passports all linked to individuals involved in the assassination of Hamas commander Mahmoud al-Mabhouh in Dubai.

Polish authorities arrested an alleged Mossad agent suspected of attaining German passports involved in the assassination of Hamas strongman Mahmoud al-Mabhouh in Dubai in January, according to Der Spiegel cited by French news agency AFP on Saturday.
"He was arrested in Warsaw and is suspected of being involved in illegally obtaining a [German] passport," AFP cited a spokesman for German federal prosecution to German magazine Der Spiegel.
"It's now up to the Poles to decide if they are going to hand him over to Germany," the spokesman said.
The foreign ministry confirmed that an Israeli citizen was arrested earlier in June in Poland, and said that the Israeli consulate in Warsaw has been in contact with the man and has received continuous updates on his condition since the arrest.

Now, if you read that all pretty closely, this suspected Mossad agent is in custody for illegally obtaining a German passport - now, one has to wonder how adamant Germany is going to be about prosecuting this and second, what if the Polish authorities decide there just isn't enough evidence to even hand this guy over to the Germans? Afterall, even if this is legitimate, there's one less Hamas scumbag walking the earth, right? : )

Report: Suspected Mossad agent arrested over Dubai assassination


Polish authorities arrested an alleged Mossad agent suspected of attaining German passports involved in the assassination of Hamas strongman Mahmoud al-Mabhouh in Dubai in January, according to Der Spiegel cited by French news agency AFP on Saturday.

"He was arrested in Warsaw and is suspected of being involved in illegally obtaining a [German] passport," AFP cited a spokesman for German federal prosecution to German magazine Der Spiegel.

"It's now up to the Poles to decide if they are going to hand him over to Germany," the spokesman said.

The foreign ministry confirmed that an Israeli citizen was arrested earlier in June in Poland, and said that the Israeli consulate in Warsaw has been in contact with the man and has received continuous updates on his condition since the arrest.

The ministry added that the suspect has received consulate assistance like every Israel arrested abroad.

Mahmoud al-Mabhouh was killed in January when a team of assassins broke into his hotel room and killed him silently, leaving a 'do not disturb' sign on the door. The hotel security cameras caught images of the alleged killers sharing an elevator ride with Mabhouh prior to the assassination.

Since the killing, Dubai police have identified over 32 suspects, releasing photos of 27 people who were allegedly involved in the assassination based on alleged forged passports.

The Mossad has been implicated by the Dubai police as having masterminded the assassination, but Israel has said there is no proof tying Mossad to the incident.
The Der Spiegel article, which is expected to be published on Monday, said the Israeli suspect Uri Brodsky was arrested in early June on arrival at Warsaw's airport.

Brodsky is suspected by German authorities to have helped a member of the hit squad obtain a German passport in June 2009.

In February, German intelligence services investigating the assassination of Hamas commander Mahmoud al-Mabhouh in Dubai claimed one of the suspected members of the assassination team carried a genuine German passport, according to reports Saturday in German media outlets.

According to the findings of German federal investigators, in June 2009 an Israeli man named Michael Bodenheimer - who shares the name of an alleged member of the Dubai hit squad - came to immigration officials in Cologne with the pre-World War II address of his grandparents.

Bodenheimer acquired German citizenship on the basis of this data.


After his name was listed as one of the suspected members of the Dubai assassination squad, Bodenheimer, who lives in Bnei Brak and is of American origin, said that he did not know how his identity was stolen.

Head of Israel's Mossad States That Obama's Lack of Spine Is Weakening Israel's Defenses

It wasn't long ago that I posted here how the Saudi press was ridiculing President Obama for his weak-kneed approach to terrorism and world conflict, and now, we have the head of Israel's Mossad, who rarely speaks to anyone, saying that because of Obama's "softness" in using military options in this violent and unpredictable world, the nation of Israel is becoming more and more of a weakened target to its enemies.

This all makes sense - for decades, the likes of Hezbollah and Syria and Iran have resisted any forward attacks on Israel due to the back-of-the-mind implied reality that such aggression against the Jewish state would bring the wrath of America's tactical military muscle down upon them. Well, we all know that it took Barack Hussein Obama WEEKS to decide whether or not to kill three Somali pirates and also, he's played pattycakes with Iran since he took office. So what in the hell is there to stop Israel's enemies other than Israel's defenses alone? Now, I'm the first to say that the Israelis are more than capable of defending themselves, but that does not pertain to what could be a three or four-pronged attack by Iran, Syria, Hezbollah and Hamas - if that were to happen, Israel would have its hands full - and it's becoming more and more apparent that Barack Hussein Obama will do nothing to help protect the Israeli people.

Mossad chief: Obama's perceived military "softness" weakens Israel


In a rare public expression of concern, Meir Dagan, head of Israel's Mossad external security service, warned Tuesday, June 1, that the progressive decline of American strength over the past decade and the perception of the Obama administration as "soft on military options for solving disputes" have cut deep into Israel's military and diplomatic maneuverability and made it fair game for its enemies. This is reported by debkafile's intelligence and political sources.
Dagan presented the Knesset foreign affairs and security committee with this evaluation 24 hours after Israeli Navy boarding parties prevented vessels sailing the Mediterranean from achieving their object of breaking the Gaza blockade. As the UN Security Council's condemned the loss of life in that raid, the Mossad chief said Barack Obama's first year as president was a period of "devaluation" for "Israeli and American strategic assets."

Dagan's uncharacteristic bluntness was a measure of the anxiety gripping Israel's security leaders over the slump in US-Israel relations.

He timed his cutting observations for the day Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu was to have held talks in White House with President Obama. Although that meeting was cancelled and Netanyahu cut short his trip to return home and deal with the crisis over the flotilla incident, the Mossad Director decided that what he had to say was important enough to be said and aired without delay.

The Obama-Netanyahu meeting had been scheduled as a high point in President Obama's charm offensive for mending his ties with Israel and American Jewish leaders, Dagan noted. By speaking out now, he hoped they would be warned not to be taken in by Obama's smiles and understand that his attitude toward the Israeli government had not changed in any fundamental way.
America's ability to generate situation-changing measures in any part of the world was in decline and this weakness reflects directly and negatively on Israel's strategic situation. debkafile notes that by this remark, Dagan indirectly disputed the administration's National Security Strategy report published in Washington five days ago.
This comment also placed him in the middle of the internal political debate in Israel. Whereas opposition factions maintain the peace process between Israel and the Palestinians and other neighbours is stalled by Netanyahu's allegedly hard-line positions, the Mossad chief puts it in a different perspective: Whatever the prime minister may do and whichever policy he may pursue, in Dagan's view he is stuck with the endemic weakness stemming from American weakness and the Obama administration's waning support for Israel.
He warned the lawmakers that the current US administration is in the process of making of Israel "a liability instead of an asset." The US president, said the Mossad chief, seriously considered forcing Israel to accept a dictated peace formula. He only backed off when he saw that this tactic would not produce a peace accord. But that was "only a tactical retreat," said Dagan.
"Let's see what steps the Americans take in the future, especially after the midterm congressional elections in November," he said, because, while an imposed peace is only a last resort and not (the Obama administration's) preferred option, it is still on the table and a whip he is holding over the heads of both parties.
The Mossad chief concluded by saying: "Such events (a decision to resort to an imposed peace) could career out of control and lead (US-Israel relations) into extreme situations."

Hamas Blames Israeli Agents For Killing Hamas Leader In Dubai

Probably the most important part of this story out of Breitbart is the fact that, yes, a senior Hamas official is dead - cold and dead. That is indeed a reason to celebrate. TGIF and TGAHID all in one day!

I haven't seen this reported anywhere else but apparently a senior Hamas official who was one of the founders of Hamas' "military" wing, Mahmoud al-Mabhouh, was killed last week while traveling through Dubai and now, Hamas officials are blaming the guy's death on Israeli agents.

Now, there is one line from the story that I wanted to highlight:

It said al-Mabhouh, who was born in the Gaza Strip, was involved in the kidnapping and killing of two Israeli soldiers in 1989 and that he was still playing a "continuous role in supporting his brothers in the resistance inside the occupied homeland" at the time of his death.

Do I know that Israel's Mossad was involved in this killing? No. But I do know that Israel has a long memory regarding the killing and assassination of its soldiers. Do I think Israel did take this chump out? Yep. And G_d bless them for doing so. Will Hamas actually retaliate for this? No. Let's face the facts...Hamas has been neutered since the days of Operation Cast Lead. In fact, Hamas' tactical operations since Operation Cast Lead have been more focused on rounding up rogue terrorists in Gaza who intermittently have fired rockets into Israel...because Hamas fears the certain and deadly reprisals from Israel for such attacks.

And don't kid yourself. Hamas leaders and operatives who have been directly responsible for the deaths of Israeli soldiers or Israeli citizens KNOW that it could be one year....it could be five years....it could be 20 years....that they meet their moongood for their actions. They know for certain that Israel will never forget their actions and their execution isn't in question, it is a matter of when.

I would put forth that this is why Gilad Shalit is still not released. Every single Hamas official that was linked to the abduction of Shalit is a marked man and they know that as soon as Shilat is returned to Israel, whether dead or alive, their dance with certain death begins.

Hamas: Israel assassinated operative in Dubai


DAMASCUS, Syria (AP) - Hamas claimed on Friday that Israeli agents assassinated one of the Palestinian militant group's veteran operatives in a killing allegedly carried out last week in Dubai, and vowed to retaliate.
The militant group identified its slain figure as Mahmoud al-Mabhouh, one of the founders of Hamas' military wing that has been responsible for hundreds of deadly attacks and suicide bombings targeting Israelis since the 1980s. It said he was 50 years old.

Hamas blamed Israel for the slaying but gave no details on how al-Mabhouh was killed and no information on alleged Israeli involvement in the man's death. Israel's government had no immediate comment.

Izzat Rashaq, a top member of Hamas' exiled leadership in Damascus, told The Associated Press that details have not been released to avoid compromising an ongoing investigation, and that Hamas' delayed announcement was linked to an attempt to "reach the Israeli agents who implemented this operation."

Al-Mabhouh lived in Syria and was passing through Dubai when he was killed late Jan. 19 or early Jan. 20, Rashaq said. Originally from the Gaza Strip, al-Mabhouh was married and had four children, he said.

"We in Hamas hold the Zionist enemy responsible for the criminal assassination of our brother, and we pledge to God and to the blood of the martyrs and to our people to continue his path of jihad and martyrdom," read the statement on Hamas' Palestinian Information Center Web site. The group pledged to "retaliate for this Zionist crime at the appropriate time and place."

Al-Mabhouh was to be buried Friday at the Palestinian refugee camp of Yarmouk, near Damascus, the statement said.

It said al-Mabhouh, who was born in the Gaza Strip, was involved in the kidnapping and killing of two Israeli soldiers in 1989 and that he was still playing a "continuous role in supporting his brothers in the resistance inside the occupied homeland" at the time of his death.

In Dubai, officials could not be immediately reached for comment.

Hamas rules Gaza but has leaders and operatives based in Damascus, Syria, and elsewhere. The group's members abroad have been targeted in the past. The leader of its Damascus-based politburo, Khaled Mashaal, survived an Israeli assassination attempt in Amman, Jordan, in 1997. Last month, two Hamas men were killed in a mysterious late-night blast in Beirut. Hamas said at the time that Israel was an obvious suspect but stopped short of openly accusing Israel of the killings.

Israel is suspected of being behind the assassination of a senior military commander from the Lebanese guerrilla group Hezbollah in Damascus in 2008. The Mossad, Israel's intelligence arm abroad, never openly discusses its operations and Israel's government typically does not comment on incidents in which the Mossad's involvement is suspected.

Dubai has for years been known as a low-risk hideaway for disgraced politicians and deposed foreign leaders but that image was shattered last March, when Chechnya's Sulim Yamadayev—a former rebel in the republic's long conflict with Russia who switched sides but then fell out with the territory's pro-Moscow leader—was shot dead in broad daylight in a Dubai underground parking lot.

The Emirates backs Hamas rival, the West Bank-based Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, but does not list the militant group as a terrorist organization. Emirati officials have several times met with Hamas representatives in the capital Abu Dhabi.

CIA and Mossad Are Kicking Hezbollah's Ass

An interesting article here from CQ Politics that details some serious gains that America's CIA and Israel's Mossad have been enjoying at the expense of the jihadi terrorists at Hezbollah. As most of you know, Hezbollah's world wide campaign of terror has been under way for quite some time and today, they still seek to position their influence and jihadis throughout the world. If you recall, when the Hezbollah king of terror attacks, Mughniyeh, bit the final bullet when his car exploded in his face in Syria, Hezbollah's leader, Nasrallah, made the threat against Israelis THROUGHOUT the world - in fact, their first Israeli targets for retribution were located in Europe. So anyway, the intelligence communities of the CIA and Mossad have been kicking Hezbollah's ass from one end of the globe to the other lately.

IO claims that the arrests of Ali Karaki and Ali Najmeddin were the result of the "active cooperation between the CIA outpost in Azerbaijan, Turkey's Milli Istihbarat Teskilati and Israel's Mossad."

A Cairo court, meanwhile, is expected to see the appearance this week of another suspected Lebanese Hezbollah operative, the newsletter reports. Sami Chehab was arrested in April on charges of assembling a terrorist cell of 48 persons in Egypt."As in Azerbaijan, several foreign intelligence agencies took part in rolling up the network, particularly the CIA and Mossad," according to IO editor Philippe Vasset.

With all of this good news, one hopes that the intelligence communities don't get too cocky or in the CIA's case, too lax (because they all work for Leon Panetta now)...because Hezbollah's influence and presence in South America has been firmly established. One can only surmise that at some point in time, Hezbollah will not be able to resist that porous border that America has with Mexico...and you couple that with the seemingly endless supply of quality fire power of Hezbollah and we have the recipe for disaster here in the U.S.
