United Arab Emirates Foreign Minister Subtley Bitch Slaps Iran Regarding Treatment of Gulf Countries

You know it's pretty bad when the foreign minister of the United Arab Emirates is speaking more directly to the Iranians than an American president but that is what is going on. As we know by now, the Iranians are doing just about everything they can to create havoc and unrest in all of the Persian Gulf countries and this foreign minister from the UAE obviously hit the wall on patience.

Iran should respect the unity of its Arab neighbours in the Gulf, the United Arab Emirates foreign minister said on Wednesday at a time of heightened regional tension.

“Iran should reconsider its policies in the region,” Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al-Nahayan, whose country holds the rotating presidency of the Gulf Cooperation Council, told a news conference in the UAE capital of Abu Dhabi.

And it “should respect the unity and sovereignty of Gulf countries,” he said at the end of an annual GCC-European Union ministerial meeting.

“I’m trying to choose my words carefully. I don’t want to act like some Iranian officials who throw their words in an abrasive and indecent way,” Sheikh Abdullah said.

“All I wish for is that Iran view its neighbours with responsibility and respect.” Tension has been running high between Iran and its Arab neighbours across the Gulf, with the two sides locked in a war of words since Shiite-led protests against Bahrain’s Sunni dynasty broke out in mid-February.

Now, the Iranians have had a bug up their ass since the Saudis rolled into Bahrain to help quell the violence and protests there but the Iranians fail to mention that the Bahrain government INVITED the Saudis in to help. The Iranians sent Revolutionary Guard forces into Syria upon the INVITATION by Assad to do that....so what's the difference? There is none of course unless you are an inbred pedophilic mullah in Iran.

Iran is the kind of country that tries to stir up trouble in every country they can without actually getting involved in it - they are the epitome' of chicken shits. They are the world's punks. They are the type to throw a brick through your front window and run like hell. One day, mark my words, some country in this world is going to stare down Iran and in the end is going to put a world of hurt on the yellow belly mullahs.

It can't come soon enough for me.

UAE calls for Iran to ‘respect’ Gulf neighbours


ABU DHABI: Iran should respect the unity of its Arab neighbours in the Gulf, the United Arab Emirates foreign minister said on Wednesday at a time of heightened regional tension.

A Saudi-led Gulf force including UAE police rolled into Bahrain on March 14, freeing up Bahraini security forces to crush the protest movement in the only Shia-majority Arab state of the Gulf, in a move condemned by Iran.

A joint GCC-EU statement issued after Wednesday’s meeting backed the deployment.

It said the two blocs played up “the importance of respect for the sovereignty of GCC member states and recognised the GCC is entitled to take all necessary measures to protect” their citizens.

On Monday, Bahraini Foreign Minister Khaled bin Ahmad Al-Khalifa said the Gulf troops had entered his country “to deter an external threat,” a reference to Iran.

“We have never seen such a sustained campaign from Iran on Bahrain and the Gulf as we’ve seen in the past two months. Usually it’s short-lived and then they back off; this time is something different,” he said.

“We wrote a letter to the secretary general of the United Nations, and in that letter we have a full attachment on the threats and all the evidence we have against Iran and Hezbollah,” the Lebanese Shiite group backed by Tehran.

And on Wednesday, Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Mohammed Sabah al-Salem Al-Sabah confirmed that Iranian diplomats accused of spying have been expelled, in another spat between Iran and its Gulf neighbours.

Iranian state television had previously said three of Tehran’s diplomats and an embassy employee were expelled from Kuwait, but Sheikh Mohammed’s remark on Wednesday was the first official confirmation from the Kuwaiti side.

Sheikh Mohammed had said on March 31 that Iranian diplomats were to be expelled for alleged links to a spy ring working for Tehran, reportedly ever since the 2003 US-led invasion of Iraq.

The foreign minister charged the diplomats had proven links to a spy ring, three alleged members of which a Kuwaiti court condemned to death on March 29.

Strains in relations across the Gulf date back to the 1980s when the Arab states, notably Saudi Arabia, backed Saddam Hussein’s Iraq in an eight-year war against Iran.

The GCC has more recently voiced concern over Tehran’s alleged ambitions for regional dominance and its nuclear programme.

In other disputes, Iran has in the past claimed Bahrain as part of its territory and it controls three islands in the southern Gulf that are also claimed by the UAE.

U.A.E. Police Detain 14 Yr Old Girl On Adultery Charges, Force Virginity Test On Her

Only in the world of Islam do you have a man in his mid 20's messing with a 14 year old girl and the girl ends up in jail....and so we see in the United Arab Emirates a 14 yr old girl was hauled into jail because some neighbors accused her of adultery with an older man - the girl has been in police custody for two weeks and was forced to have a gynaecological examination which "confirmed she was still a virgin".

A 14-year-old Arab schoolgirl has been detained for two weeks on an adultery charge and forced to undergo a virginity test in the United Arab Emirates, a newspaper reports.

Gulf News reported police in the conservative emirate of Ajman had arrested the teenager after she met her boyfriend on the roof of her family home.

She had since been forced to undergo a gynaecological examination which "confirmed she was still a virgin", the unnamed girl's father was quoted by the English-language daily as saying.

"The police have ruined the future of my daughter as she missed the school exam. She has been in police custody since March 22," the father said, adding that bail had been refused and the girl was being held with adult women.

But police arrested the girl and referred the case to Ajman's public prosecutor on an adultery charge.

Let's face it. We see it every day. We see women in Islam charged with adultery when they are gang-raped by six men. We see young girls raped by men 30 years their senior being charged with the same thing. We see fathers killing their daughters for hanging out with the wrong boys. It's open season on women and girls in Islam and in case anyone forgot, the year is 2011. Look at this story and tell me if this "religion" has progressed at all since 645 A.D.

Gulf News reported police in the conservative emirate of Ajman had arrested the teenager after she met her boyfriend on the roof of her family home.

She had since been forced to undergo a gynaecological examination which "confirmed she was still a virgin", the unnamed girl's father was quoted by the English-language daily as saying.

The paper said the man involved in the case, in his mid-20s, was later arrested in a neighbouring emirate.

"When police called me to report along with my daughter to the CID, I was clueless about what they wanted from me and from her," said the father, whose nationality was also not disclosed.

"I took [her] to police where I learnt that someone had complained against her that she was meeting an adult man on the roof of our building. I told the police that I would handle the matter within the family."

But police arrested the girl and referred the case to Ajman's public prosecutor on an adultery charge.

"Police surprised me when they said she should go behind bars and I had to go back home without my daughter. I do not see the point in ruining the little girl's life and image," the father said.

United Arab Emirates Ambassador to the U.S.: American or Israeli Military Strikes On Iran Preferred To Mullahs With Nukes

A voice of reason in the islamic world? Some sanity? The ambassador to the United States from the United Arab Emirates has made the statement that U.S. and/or Israeli military strikes on Iran would be preferrable to the Iranians attaining nuclear weapons. Thud.

U.S. or Israeli military action against Iranian nuclear facilities would be preferable to allowing Tehran to get atomic weapons. That hawkish account comes from an unexpected source - Yousef al-Otaiba - the United Arab Emirates' Ambassador to the United States.

At the Aspen Ideas Festival Tuesday in Colorado, Jeffrey Goldberg, national correspondent of The Atlantic, asked Otaiba if he wanted the United States to stop the Iranian program by force.

"Absolutely, absolutely," Otaiba replied. "I think we are at risk of an Iranian nuclear program far more than you are at risk. At 7,000 miles away, and with two oceans bordering you, an Iranian nuclear threat does not threaten the continental United States. It may threaten your assets in the region. It will threaten the peace process. It will threaten balance of power. It will threaten everything else, but it will not threaten you."

Otaiba added that "out of every country in the region, the U.A.E. is most vulnerable to Iran. Our military, [which] has existed for the past 40 years, wake up dream, breathe, eat, sleep, the Iranian threat. It's the only conventional military threat our military plans for, trains for, equips for, that's it. There's no other threat. There's no country in the region that is a threat to the U.A.E. It's only Iran. So, yes, it's very much in our interest that Iran does not gain nuclear technology."

I don't know much about the U.A.E. and quite frankly, don't know who their "big brother" would be in any aggression from Iran - and after these statements, they might need to reinforce just who that is. But, this ambassador is pretty much saying what a LOT of Sunni countries are thinking in the world. We know for a fact that Saudi Arabia is one of the most fearful of a nuclear Iran.

I've said it before, if the U.S. took out the nukes in Iran, there would be so little outcry from the rest of the world it would be over in a matter of days. I would expect a mild stern statement from Russia and China but that would be it. Hell, we'd probably see more outrage from the hippie Left in America.

Goldberg asked if that would be the case even if the attack came from Israel.

"A military attack on Iran by whomever would be a disaster," Otaiba answered. "But Iran with a nuclear weapon would be a bigger disaster."

Goldberg observed that the ambassador's position, though stated more publicly than usual, is the standard view of many Arab states.

"It is not only Israel that fears the rise of a nuclear Iran; the Arabs, if anything, fear such a development to a greater degree," he wrote. "The Jews and Arabs have been fighting for one hundred years. The Arabs and the Persians have been going at [it] for a thousand. The idea of a group of Persian Shi'ites having possession of a nuclear bomb scares Arab leaders like nothing else - it certainly scares them more than the reality of the Jewish bomb."

Iranian television reports that the UAE government is walking back Otaiba's statement as "taken out of context."

U.S. Weapons Found On UAE Plane Headed To China

When I read the headline of this article from Times Online I was scratching my head because I thought..."what in the world would China need to be getting in ANY weapons for from outside their own dominion?!!" Then, as you read into it...you see that the UAE apparently purchased these AMERICAN weapons and was caught forwarding them to China so the Chinese can do a little "homework" on our latest technology. Dirty bastards!

The times are getting dicey, my friends. Good thing we have a Commander-in-Chief who is right on top of everything, right?

By the way, the Indians found this ... one has to wonder how many they missed.

Mystery of UAE plane held in Calcutta with arms bound for China

India is struggling to unravel the mystery surrounding a United Arab Emirates Air Force aircraft detained in Calcutta since Sunday for carrying undeclared weapons — including at least one missile — bound for China.
The discovery has raised eyebrows, as the UAE buys most of its weapons from the United States and European Union, which impose strict controls on arms transfers to China.
The most controversial theory is that the weapons include high-tech equipment that China would like to examine or copy.
Last year the UAE purchased 14 Maverick air-to-ground missiles from the United States and also signed a contract to buy US Patriot air defence missiles.

The UAE has refused to comment on the matter, fuelling suspicions that the three boxes of weapons found on the Hercules C130 transport plane were supposed to be secret. The aircraft was refuelling en route from Abu Dhabi to the northern Chinese city of Xianyang — a big arms production centre.
The nine crew members have been detained at a hotel and questioned, while the aircraft has been held at Calcutta’s airport, according to Indian officials.
“The crew didn’t mention about the arms and ammunitions content in the initial declaration,” one customs official in Calcutta told The Times.
“The pilot told us that we would be opening the cargo at our own peril. So, the entire cargo was sealed.”
The crew also has yet to explain why they were taking such an indirect route to China, rather than flying over Pakistan.
India’s Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying the pilot, Major Ibrahim Alshamsei, had admitted carrying arms, ammunition and explosives but had failed to declare the items in his initial application.
“The UAE authorities... have since formally regretted the omission in clearly indicating items carried by the aircraft and have described it as a ‘technical error’,” the statement said.
The statement said that India would facilitate the aircraft’s “early release” although it did not specify whether the aircraft would continue to China or return to Abu Dhabi.
Analysts said the weapons could be Chinese samples being returned to Xianyang after tests in the UAE. They could also have been smuggled out of the UAE by individuals without the knowledge of the government there.
Analysts say the UAE is unlikely to risk transferring US missile technology to China for fear of jeopardising future US arms sales.
However, it would face less fallout from transferring one of the MICA missiles it bought from France to use on its Mirage fighter jets.
China would be interested in procuring a MICA as France has also sold them to Taiwan, China’s arch rival, for use on its Mirages.
France cannot sell directly to China because of an EU arms embargo imposed after the killing of protesters in Tiananmen Square in 1989.
“I would imagine the Chinese would be very interested in looking at the UAE’s French missiles,” said Siemon Wezeman of the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute’s Arms Transfer
