WTF?!? Nidal Hasan Promoted To Lieutenant Colonel And Awarded The Legion Of Merit!!! UPDATED!

Major Nidal Hasan walked into the Soldier Readiness Processing Center at Fort Hood, Texas and opened fire upon his fellow soldiers shouting "Allah Akbar!".  13 men and women were killed, 29 were wounded.  Major Hasan was paralyzed in the attack.  This was 4 years ago.

In the "bad" old days, Hasan would have been in front of a  Courts-martial, tried and executed by now.  But since it happened under President Barack Hussein Obama, he still hasn't entered a plea.  His trial is suppose to begin on May 29th.

Hasan hasn't shaved in 4 years claiming religious reasons.  In the "bad" old days he would have been held down and forcefully shaved.  But under the new PC military, he has been allowed to keep his beard.  He still receives his salary and was recently promoted to Lieutenant Colonel.  To add salt to the wound, he was awarded the Legion of Merit.

FORT LEAVENWORTH, KS — Army officials have confirmed that Nidal Hasan was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel yesterday in a small and solemn ceremony in the gathering room of Fort Leavenworth’s maximum security prison.

The alleged mastermind behind the Fort Hood Shootings was ecstatic about the crossing of a major milestone in his military career and thanked all those in attendance. Meanwhile, protests were held outside the base, with people chanting “justice for the victims” and “don’t promote.” One participant stated that this ceremony was a “slap in the face of all the victims” from the massacre. Base officials refused to comment, declaring that Hassan’s promotion was decided months ago by personnel management officials.

When asked about the promotion, Major General William Hewitt, Commanding General of Human Resources Command (HRC), stated that Hasan’s personnel record was not negatively flagged by the chain of command and that by regulation the “Army had no choice but to award promotion to the service member.” When asked to elaborate about how such an oversight could occur, the general stated that the Army’s electronic human resources systems were undergoing upgrades that may have affected Hasan’s status.

“HRC has been physically migrating its systems to a new building at Fort Knox [Human Resources Command Headquarters] after the discovery of asbestos and mold in the current data storage warehouse. Unfortunately the files have been moved to a computer system that is not yet Y2K compliant. This might have affected the records of hundreds of personnel, including Hasan.”

During an investigation of Hasan’s service record, The Duffel Blog obtained several evaluation reports detailing the officer’s performance history. Of note is one report covering the period during Hasan’s alleged shooting spree. His superior officer, Colonel Nathan Butterworth, stated that Hasan has an excellent record stained with the occasional blemish.

“While not the best team player, Major Hasan has a peerless tactical mind with a demonstrated record of close quarters combat marksmanship.” Butterworth goes on to state “Major Hasan is an unparalleled asset to the Army. His capability to think like the enemy, allows him the ability to provide the military with a perspective not seen by the rest of the organization.”

Hasan also received a Legion of Merit from his superiors at Darnell Army Medical Center at Fort Hood upon Hasan’s transfer to Fort Leavenworth. Standard practice in the Army is to award soldiers a “Permanent Change of Station” award reflecting the sum total of their contributions while at their installation. Since Hasan’s movement to Leavenworth’s maximum security facility was technically a Permanent Change of Station, he was submitted for the award as a formality. The Legion of Merit was awarded during the same ceremony as Hasan’s promotion, although the officer presenting the award was forced to move Hasan’s beard to one side to affix it to his uniform.

The award now hangs inside Hasan’s cell, below a framed letter from Osama Bin Laden, congratulating Hasan on the “successful slaughter of dozens of infidels.”

Luckily, said Hewitt, the error was caught in time to prevent the promotion of SPC Bradley Manning, who allegedly leaked over 40,000 top-secret military and diplomatic documents to the WikiLeaks website in the largest confidential document dump in American history. His adverse action flag was restored before he could attain the rank of Sergeant.

Manning was reportedly disappointed in being removed from consideration, as he had already begun studying for the Sergeant Promotion Board, but at least has the consolation of having received a Good Conduct Medal during the interim. It is unknown at this time how many personnel received promotions and awards in error, and the Army Inspector General’s office is continue to investigate.

Under any other President, Hasan would have been executed by now and the attack would have been labelled an "Terrorist Attack".  But under the appeasement of Barack Hussein Obama, none of that has happened.  Instead this administration regime has bent over backwards in coddling Hasan.

If Hasan is convicted and sentenced to death I can see President Obama pardoning his sorry ass.  It is a shame that the shot that paralyzed this piece of human flotsam had killed him instead.

Has resigned because of an extra-marital affair.

CIA Director David Petraeus submitted his letter of resignation Friday, after admitting to an extramarital affair.

Petraeus, in a message to staff, said President Obama accepted his resignation after the two met on Thursday afternoon. Petraeus said that he asked "to be allowed" to step down.

"After being married for over 37 years, I showed extremely poor judgment by engaging in an extramarital affair. Such behavior is unacceptable, both as a husband and as the leader of an organization such as ours," Petraeus said. "This afternoon, the President graciously accepted my resignation."

The move comes amid the unfolding controversy surrounding the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Libya. Scrutiny has fallen on a range of agencies including the CIA. The director had been expected to testify at hearings next week. But Petraeus, in his resignation message, cited strictly "personal reasons" surrounding his affair which until now had not been disclosed.

Obama, in a written statement, said Petraeus provided an "extraordinary service to the United States for decades."

"By any measure, he was one of the outstanding General officers of his generation, helping our military adapt to new challenges, and leading our men and women in uniform through a remarkable period of service in Iraq and Afghanistan, where he helped our nation put those wars on a path to a responsible end," Obama said. He said he has named Michael Morell, the agency's deputy director, to serve as acting director.

The decision abruptly ends the public-service career of one of the military's most vaunted leaders. He led the surge in Iraq, and was later tapped to lead U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan -- following two years at the helm of U.S. Central Command. In April 2011, Obama again tapped Petraeus to lead the CIA.

Director of National Intelligence James Clapper said Petraeus' resignation "represents the loss of one of our nation's most respected public servants."

Petraeus' wife, Holly, also works in the Obama administration, for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

History teaches us that under in the Soviet Union under Joseph Stalin the Red Army was purged of its best officers and men.  In fact the purge nearly destroyed the Red Army and it was a real possibility that due to the purge (And killing of these men) that Germany could have destroyed the Soviet Union.

Now look to today.  First Cmdr. Joseph Darlak, captain of the frigate Vandegrift, then, Capt. Owen Honors was relieved of duty Tuesday as commander of the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise, then General Ham was relieved.  There is a massive Reduction in Forces happening in the military.  While civilian (union) workers are not being fired, the men and women in uniform are being basically fired.

Rumors are rampant that there was a Seven Days in May coup d'etat being planned if Obama won.  I doubt it, bum Obama is removing all and any opposition to his plans there can be.  Rumors are also rampant that this was the last free election we as a nation will ever have.  That Obama has no intention of ever giving up power and he will soon find a way to eliminate both Houses of Congress and the Supreme Court.  Why not?  Already the left has declared him G-d.

I fear the end is nearing for the United States of America.  A once proud and free nation now subjected to the whim of a dictator.  G-d help us all!

A what if with the outcome of Joe Biden becoming President.

The summer of 2012 was one of turmoil. The Republican primary remained hotly contested up until the convention. Mitt Romney eventually prevailed and named governor Chris Christie from New Jersey as his running mate.

On May 5, 2012, Israel conducted surgical strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities. The immediate results of these strikes were unclear but as the United States stood idly by, the Arab outrage against Israel and the west increased exponentially and by June, gasoline prices in the US averaged 8 dollars per gallon. Whatever so called economic recovery the mainstream media had tried to invent was shattered. In spite of attempts to cover the facts, the unemployment rate charged up to around 11 percent and the stock market took a tumble below 8000 by the beginning of July.

In September and October the Romney campaign hammered Obama relentlessly over his desertion of our Israeli ally, his failure to build the Keystone pipeline, his failure to lift the moratorium on gulf drilling, and the continuing intrusion of the federal government by Obamacare. In spite of all this the polls showed the race between Obama and Romney to be a dead heat up until the very last minute.

On Tuesday November 6, 2012, the presidential election resulted in an electoral tie with both Romney and the President receiving 269 electoral votes. Obama actually won the popular vote by a scant 52,000 votes. The Republicans easily held control of the House of Representatives and in fact gained 4 seats. The Senate was shifted with 50 seats held by Republicans, 48 seats held by Democrats, and 2 seats held by independents. The two independents had historically caucused with the Democrats.

Most ignorant Democrat voters and many ignorant Republican voters were unaware that in the event of an electoral tie, the incoming House of Representatives would, according to the 12th amendment of the Constitution, choose the President while the Senate would select the Vice President.

The mainstream media went immediately to work informing the masses that Mitt Romney would no doubt be the 45th President of the United States. A tremendous outcry went up and rioting occurred in the streets of major cities. Accusations of racism and theft of the election were alive and well in the mainstream news. Al Sharpton and the "reverend" Jesse Jackson were happy as larks as they stirred the racial flames. Hundreds died as local police and fire departments were overwhelmed by angry, racially charged mobs. The National Guard was heavily deployed in many places around the country. In spite of this violence continued.

Gasoline remained at around 8 dollars a gallon and in December of 2012, Egypt and Syria launched all out attacks against Israel. The United States finally had to act and supported Israel in a shooting war against its Arab neighbors mainly with airstrikes from carrier based aircraft from the Mediterranean and the Red Sea.

In the meantime, the stock market began to make a slow recovery and the unemployment rate began to drop in hopes that a new Romney presidency would create a more business friendly environment. This good news, however, was largely ignored as much of America burned and war raged in the middle east.

In January the new congress convened with the House of Representatives, as expected, choosing Mitt Romney as President. The Senate however was hopelessly deadlocked at 50/50, Biden vs. Christie. Biden, still the sitting Vice President, cast the deciding vote in favor of himself. The improbable result had the Republican Romney in the top position with Biden remaining in second place. Biden told the news media that he would do everything possible during his next term to vigorously continue the efforts and policies of Barack Obama.

On January 25, 2013, five days after his inauguration, Romney was assassinated by a bomb while he was giving a speech in New York, City. 75 people were killed in the attack allegedly conducted by Al'Qaeda operatives in relatiation for our actions in the middle east.

On the same day, Joe Biden was sworn in as 46th President of the United States.

The idea of President Biden is scarier than an Obama second term.  But The Grouch does give a very good What if to the idea.
