LOL, it is the Protestants that were successors to Islam. Furthermore without Protestantism, Islam would have been completely defeated, but Protestant rulers helped keep Catholic forces bottled up during wars with Islam. If Europe had been united under Catholicism the wars with the Turkish Sultals would have resulted in a reconquest of the Middle East by Christianity.
