Karzai tells US to 'stop harassing' Afghanistan

Afghan President Hamid Karzai pitched a little fit today after American condemnation of his country's release of 65 Taliban prisoners. These prisoners had killed NATO and Afghan soldiers as well as Americans. NATO also criticized the releases as a setback to security and the rule of law in Afghanistan.

It is crazy for Karzai to think that allowing these terrorists release will do anything but cause more deaths and fighting in the region. He thinks that it will help resuscitate the peace talks with the Taliban. Why does Karzai think the Taliban will abide by any treaty?
He is playing with his life along with the Afghans.

Karzai tells US to 'stop harassing' Afghanistan

ANKARA: Afghan President Hamid Karzai on Thursday said Washington should respect his country's judicial authority after the release of 65 alleged Taliban fighters triggered US condemnation.
“Afghanistan is a sovereign country. If the Afghan judicial authorities decide to release the prisoners, it is of no concern to the US and should be of no concern to the US,” Karzai told reporters in Ankara.
“I hope that the United States will stop harassing Afghanistan's procedures and judicial authority”.

Smarmy little bastard. Its ok for the USA to spend lives and treasure to secure freedom for Karzai and afghanis. establish a judicial system. Then this lying sack of shit says its no concern of UYS about teh judicial release of 65 killers. Ok Karzai you are right it is no concern of the USa what tyou do now. Obama pull every last troop out of Afghanistan. not one piece of equipment, financial aid or trooper left. Do it now. After all it is no longer our concern says karzai. Let Afghanistan go back to teh Taliban. let Karzai stay there, let him fight for his own life. Seize and freeze all his bank accounts and his families and clan members accounts. After all the judicial release of 65 hardened killers is not our business.
