From the WSAU.com:
Duffy told to stay away from Labor Day Parade
WAUSAU, Wis (WSAU) - Republican lawmakers have been told they aren't welcome at the Labor Day parade in Wausau.
The Marathon County Central Labor Council is sponsor for the parade held September 5th. A spokesman says the group of about 30 labor unions chooses not to invite elected officials it feels have, quoting here, "openly attacked workers' rights." A spokesman for Republican Representative Sean Duffy says the congressman had hoped political differences could have been set aside for what is billed as a family-friendly event.

First off, I like how the WSAU article has a bunch of glaring grammar mistakes. "chooses" should be "chose"..."The Marathon County Central Labor Council is sponsor for the parade held September 5th." should be "The Marathon County Central Labor Council is a sponsor for the parade held September 5th." The reporter was probably schooled by a bunch of unionized teachers. Irony.
Secondly, I thought Duffy's response was very classy. As much as I dislike liberals, I would never support banning them from parades. This is taking politics to a new low.
If someone is going to hold up a sign, for all to see, it should make sense! ROFL
