Syria, After Killing Hundreds and Hundreds of Protesting Syrians, Condemns Israel For Turning Back Protesters Trying To Breach Israeli Border

How can anyone deal with the Muslims of the Middle East without constantly shaking his head and rolling his eyes? How can anyone view the reaction today by Syria without labeling the regime as nothing short of psychotics?

The Syrian government has spent the past month mowing down its own citizens who have been protesting the tyrannical rule of President Assad - the Syrian military and security forces, as well as imported Iranian hit men, have murdered hundreds and hundreds of Syrians. Yet today, the Syrian government condemned Israel for the supposed deaths of four pro-palestinian protesters that were part of a huge throng trying to break through the border of Israel.

From the report at The Jerusalem Post:

Syria condemned on Sunday Israel's "criminal activities" in the Golan Heights,Gaza, the West Bank and southern Lebanon where Israeli forces had fired to disperse pro-Palestinian protests.

Israeli troops shot at protesters in three separate locations to prevent crowds from crossing Israeli frontier lines.

State news agency SANA quoted the foreign ministry as saying it called on the international community to hold Israel responsible for the incidents, the deadliest such confrontation along the borders in years.

UN peacekeepers in southern Lebanon (UNIFIL) urged the parties involved in the shooting incident on Sunday at the Lebanese-Israeli border to show "maximum restraint" to prevent casualties.

Oh the horror huh? The Syrians have a new color to their paved streets in three of their cities from all of the blood they have spilled but now, they are asking the international community to condemn a country for protecting its border. I mean, how can you rationalize this psychotic behavior?

Imagine just for a moment that we in America lived here with neighboring countries this far off their rocker? But don't question for a minute that the countries of this world won't play along with the Syrians. We'll see protests by students in Europe and in America condemning the Israeli "murder" of innocent Syrians...we'll see the "Free Palestine" signs....and we'll see a bunch of U.N. clowns get up and present penalties for Israel for this violence. Welcome to the Middle East everyone....a region with one sane nation surrounded by those of evil and madness.

Syria condemns Israel's 'criminal acts' against protesters

Spokesman Andrea Tenenti said UNIFIL was in contact with the Lebanese army and the Israeli military. Security sources said four people had been killed after Israeli forces fired in the air to repel Palestinians demonstrating at Maroun a-Ras on the border.

"Hundreds of Lebanese and Palestinians approached the fence at Maroun a-Ras. The Lebanese army did not stop them. When IDF saw them attempting to destroy the fence, they took steps to stop them," Brig.-Gen. Yoav "Poli" Mordechai told Channel 10 News.

Also on Sunday, several dozen pro-Palestinian protesters crossed the Syrian border into the Golan Heights, an act Mordechai called "an Iranian provocation." Sources reported between two to four Syrians dead and 10-20 people injured in those ensuing clashes.
