Taliban Murder 17 Innocents In Southern Afghanistan

I'm going to first show you this from the article:

The Afghan Interior Ministry says insurgents have killed 17 road workers in an attack in the southern province of Zabul.Another 16 road workers have been injured.

As is typical, the news agency can't even use the word "Taliban" because they're chickenshits but my point of all this is simple. This is murder of innocents by the Taliban. These were unarmed road workers cut down like trees. You might ask, Why is this different than a suicide bomber going into a market and blowing up innocent civilians? The difference, in my mind, is that these are Taliban fighters - they are, in essence, enemy troops - these are not some sick volunteer for martyrdom - these are coordinated military attacks with rifles and grenade launchers attacking innocent unarmed civilians.

And this is what people on the Left in this country want to walk away from? This is the kind of barbarism that NATO members can't see fit to pledge more troops to destroy? Imagine, for a moment, a unit of U.S. Marines in eastern Iraq mowing down a group of unarmed Iranian workers on the Iran/Iraq border. What would be the world uproar over that? And here we have 17 men pushing a shovel one minute and laying dead with half their head blown off the next minute as Taliban overrun their construction project.

This is why the U.S. and Canada and France and Britain and Germany and the Netherlands and Australia need to TRIPLE their troop levels in Afghanistan and finally, wipe the Taliban off the face of the Earth. This is why the U.S. and NATO forces need to flip off the government of Pakistan and eradicate the Taliban from Northwestern Pakistan. This why the Taliban need to be culled like a flock of chickens suspected of harboring the bird flu. This is why Mullah Omar needs to hang from a meat hook in city center of Kabul.

Attack in south Afghanistan kills 17

The Afghan Interior Ministry says insurgents have killed 17 road workers in an attack in the southern province of Zabul.Another 16 road workers have been injured.

The authorities say Afghan and international forces have carried out a counter-attack, killing seven insurgents.

Meanwhile, a Polish soldier serving with NATO forces has been killed in a blast in south-western Ghazni province. 38 foreign soldiers have been killed in Afghanistan this year.
