Iran Official: Mosque Explosion An Accident (From Tons Of Munitions Being Stored There!)

I had to read this article twice. The Iranians, trying to explain away an explosion in a mosque that killed at least 12 people and injured more than 200, have come up with the explanation that someone was careless with leftover munitions from a "defense fair." HaHaHa! I kid you not. Read this from the Reuters article here:

"Last night's explosion in Shiraz was as a consequence of an accident and not the planting of a bomb," the official IRNA news agency quoted the deputy interior minister in charge of national security, Abbas Mohtaj, as saying.
He did not give details, but state Press TV television said the blast may have been "caused by explosives left behind from an earlier exhibition commemorating" the 1980-88 Iran-Iraq war.

So let me be sure I have this straight - the Iranians are keeping tons and tons of munitions, explosives, rockets and grenades in their mosques? Is there like a pile of 150 mm shells in between each prayer mat? Hahahaha!

What a bunch of morons. Now obviously, there is more of an investigation going on - I'm sure the next wave of explanations is some Zionist plot conducted by Jews that infiltrated the country. The Iranians epitomize the "head in the sand" approach to domestic upheaval - they have a populace that is out of work, they have an inflation rate that is soaring, they have a generation of young people rebelling against the religious edicts of 85 year old men and they have a homicidal maniac at the helm of their government.

The one thing the Iranians have always had going for them is their lies. They follow the strict teachings of the Qur'an which tells them to lie - islam is a lie, thus Iran is a lie. The Persians haven't told the truth since Eisenhower was President. Oh yeah, but we are to believe them when they say the nuclear facilities are for the generation of nuclear power, right?

Deadly Iran mosque blast not an attack: media

TEHRAN (Reuters) - A blast in a mosque in Iran that killed at least 12 people was an accident and not an attack, a senior official said on Sunday, but others cautioned the investigation into the cause was continuing.
Iranian media had reported that a bomb exploded in a crowded mosque in the southern city of Shiraz on Saturday evening. About 200 people were wounded and some were in a critical condition.
State television carried footage showing wooden debris and pieces of brick strewn on the mosque's carpet-covered floor and ambulances and fire engines rushing to the scene.
The semi-official Fars News Agency carried a similar report.
"The cause of the incident was probably laxness since a defense fair was held at this place some time ago," it quoted the commander of security forces in the southern Fars province, Ali Moayedi, as saying.

Hence Sharku's Rule 117. Always run from a burning mosque, you can never be sure how big the secondary explosions will be.
