Israel Shuts Down Access From West Bank, Gaza

Israel has been keeping its eye on Hezbollah, it appears, and today decided to block access to Israel by palestinians coming from the West Bank and Gaza. Now, the article here from Breitbart ( Note: The link from Breitbart is not working, I have excerpted most of the story below), doesn't say it but there has to be some solid evidence behind this regarding some "chatter" or movements of Hezbollah. With the Purim holiday starting in Israel, it would be seen as an opportune time for any sort of jihadist attack.
Which leads me to another bit of conjecture on my part - the still lacking show of vengeance by Israel over the Jerusalem seminary massacre. Now, there may still be some investigating going on, there may be some silent planning going on, but I am starting to think that in the process of really digging into those behind that act, Israel may have found some bigger plans and possibly isn't quite ready for confronting those larger jihadist strategies. Hezbollah is notorious for inciting reaction - the capture of Israeli soldiers was meant to goad Israel into a reaction - now, the reaction by Israel at that time was a bit more intense than Hezbollah had planned on but that is their way...they are constantly trying to lure Israel troops into Lebanon - Hezbollah are masters of defending territory, they are worthless as tits on a boar in offensives. I still believe there is a powderkeg going on right now, even with the Hamas negotiations going on.

Israel Bars Access From W. Bank, Gaza

JERUSALEM (AP) - Israel declared a heightened security alert on Wednesday and barred Palestinians from the West Bank and Gaza Strip from entering the country, fearing Hezbollah guerrillas may try to carry out a major attack during holiday celebrations this week.
The Purim holiday coincides with the end of a 40-day mourning period for Hezbollah commander Imad Mughniyeh, who was killed in a car bombing in Syria last month. Israel has denied involvement, but the Lebanese guerrilla group has blamed Israel and vowed revenge.
The alert came amid new signs that Israel is moving closer to a cease- fire with Hamas militants in the Gaza Strip. Israeli defense officials said Amos Gilad, a senior Defense Ministry official, traveled to Cairo on Tuesday for talks with Egyptian mediators. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity due to the sensitive nature of the talks.
The Israeli army said the closure would remain in effect through Sunday night, preventing thousands of Palestinian workers and merchants from entering Israel. Most come from the West Bank, but small numbers of merchants from the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip are allowed into Israel. Palestinians needing treatment at Israeli hospitals will be able to enter, and cargo crossings will keep operating, a military spokesman said on condition of anonymity, citing policy.
