Report: Israel Believes Two Soldiers Kidnapped by Hezbollah Are Dead

This is from a very brief blurb out of YNET News that I'll excerpt here:

Israel believes that IDF soldiers Eldad Regev and Ehud Goldwasser, abducted by Hizbullah about a year and a half ago, are dead, German newspaper Der Spiegel reported.

According to the report, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is considering to make a public declaration that the two reservist soldiers are dead. (Ynet)
And although I'm tempted to speak about the evil nature of Hezbollah and what they did to these two fine young men as well as the despicable lack of backbone from the rest of the World to come to their aid, I want to point out what Israel did for these captured soldiers. Israel went to war with Hezbollah over these two young men. Israel attacked Hezbollah in hopes of retrieving these soldiers and while that war effort was not one of Israel's finest hours, the Israeli government put their people and military in harm's way to get these two soldiers back. Many Israeli soldiers lost their lives in this response, innocent Israeli civilians also lost their lives in the subsequent missile attacks from Hezbollah. But Israel showed to the world that they would do all they could to find and bring home their sons. This past week we have seen the seething of jihadists across the globe over the killing of their favorite terrorist in Syria - we've seen them yell and scream, beat their chests and shake their fists ...and that's it. The Israeli's didn't hesitate and took the business to Hezbollah and don't kid yourself, Israel put a world of hurt on Hezbollah.
The Israelis don't leave their men behind, they are willing to jeopardize the masses for the retrieval and the protection of the few. The jihadists sacrifice and abandon their peoples for the sake of world domination. That's the difference. Israelis are driven by honor and love of country and people. Jihadist islamists are driven by hate and disregard for anything human.
