The islamists of Britain are up in arms ... to the point they are holding a vigil outside of 10 Downing Street (for us non-Brits, that is where British Prime Minister Gordon Brown resides). The cause of their upset is that they feel muslims in Britain are being "scapegoated and ostracized." You will find the entire article here from the rag entitled Islamaphobia Watch.
Let's look at the meat of the article's whining and then I'll take a stab at dissecting it from a more sensible view:
I'll take it sentence by sentence:
1. The islamists are upset that a Muslim MP may be "bugged" because of the war on terror. So that begs the question...have the islamists not labeled all Jews as "zionists" and "zealots"? Have these same islamists not labeled President George Bush and the U.S. as "The Great Satan"? Is the suspicion of a muslim MP any different than the islamists' suspicion of a western Christian or Israeli Jew?
2. The question of warnings about inbreeding. I can ask those at Islamaphobia Watch how many times islamists (including the presiding President of Iran) have denied the Holocaust of WW2.
3. They are upset that an islamic scholar is denied entry to the UK. Okay, let me ask them this: Are Christians and Jews allowed into Mecca or Medina? Are Jews permitted to travel to Saudi Arabia?
4. Sacrilege. In other words, what Islamaphobia is saying is they are appalled that Western society has an issue with the islamists' "right" to murder Theo van Gogh in cold blood. They are amazed at how the West cannot condone the bounty put on the heads of Salman Rushdie and the Danish cartoonists. In other words, they cannot understand why the West will not ACCEPT the barbarianism of THEIR culture inside of OUR culture.
5. They are complaining about the bullying of muslim children. I would like to point out the examples of this world where the islamists have: strapped suicide bomb belts onto mentally handicapped women, trained pre teen childrens in the "art" of walking through mine fields, beheaded Buddhist monks, destroyed the genitalia of 12 year old Saudi girls, beheaded westerners on video tape and burned Christian churches. And they are concerned about some childhood bullying?!
The whack jobs at Islamaphobia Today are asking for Equal Citizenship, No Double Standards. And I am asking them simply this: The day you condemn the 9/11 attacks, the day you confess to the burning of Christian churches, the day you admit your desire to destroy all of Israel and the day you defy the Qur'an's call for World Submission to Allah is the day the West will begin to consider your quest for equality.

We are disturbed when an eminent Islamic scholar is denied entry to the UK. We are troubled that our concerns on issues of sacrilege are dismissed as an infringement on freedom of speech. It is no wonder that even in our schools, Muslim children highlight their fear of bullying more frequently than those from other faith groups. Is this the society of the future we want – one of first-class, confident citizens and second-class, anxiety-ridden citizens?
It is with these questions in mind that a number of civil society organisations have come together to stage a vigil outside No. 10 Downing Street on Saturday 16th February 2008 at 2pm, under the slogan 'Yes to Equal Citizenship, No to Double Standards'.
