In a perfect world, Election Day would be a paid holiday, but you would only get paid for the day if you proved you voted. If they can give out that little "I VOTED!" sticker, they can give a receipt when you turn in your ballot.
With the day as a holiday, there would be few reasons that a voter could not get to a polling place to cast their ballot, which would reduce the need for mail-in ballots. Voters would be required to identify themselves as valid voters before casting a ballot. Voter rolls would be reviewed not less than 180 days prior to an election to remove dead or unqualified voters. By "unqualified," I mean those who have moved away from their voting district or have lost their right to vote.
All voters, once they've voted, should be given a mark or semi-permanent stain (right index finger in an ink bottle works pretty well,) to quickly and obviously indicate that they have already voted, and to prevent them from casting another ballot. Ballot harvesting would be illegal; if you can receive a ballot by mail, you can return a ballot by mail. No election will be certified until all ballots from military personnel stationed overseas or away from their voting district of record are counted.
Using Covid-19 as an excuse to allow widespread vote-by-mail and it's attendant possibilities for fraud and abuse is bullsh*t. America and all the political subdivisions have voted through diseases, epidemics, and wars. We are tough and resilient; we will find a way to vote through this latest challenge.
Well, well said...the Left is never relaxed, they are like sharks, they have to keep moving to survive and the Left has to continually latch onto some deceit, some fraud, some illegality in order to try and win.
