I had a discussion about the "pink slime" they use in most ground 'beef'. It is scrape that once was used in dog food and cooking oil, basically the garbage. Now they chemically treat it with ammonia to supposedly 'kill' the e-coli and maggots ect...it doesn't not only not kill all the vile, disgusting crap in it, but e-coli thrives in it.
More than 8.7 million pounds of meat have been recalled from a
Northern California company because the plant “processed diseased and
unsound animals,” federal officials announced Saturday.
“Rancho Feeding Corporation, a Petaluma, Calif. establishment, is
recalling approximately 8,742,700 pounds, because it processed diseased
and unsound animals and carried out these activities without the benefit
or full benefit of federal inspection,” the U.S. Department of
Agriculture said in an online statement.
