My guess is that they have been torturing this dude since Thursday to give up all of the names of those that carried out the attack and in fact, some Hezbollah probably joined in on the "questioning" and oops, he died.

Top Al Qaeda commander dies in Lebanese jail
BEIRUT: A Lebanese army general says the leader of an Al Qaeda-linked group that has conducted attacks across the Middle East before shifting its focus to Syria's civil war has died in custody in Lebanon.
The general says the detainee, Majid al-Majid, died on Saturday after suffering kidney failure. The general spoke on condition of anonymity in line with regulations.
Al-Majid, a Saudi citizen was detained in Lebanon late last month and had been held at a secret location.
He was the purported commander of the Abdullah Azzam Brigades and one of the 85 most-wanted individuals in his native Saudi Arabia.
The US State Department designated the group a foreign terrorist organisation in 2012, freezing any assets it holds in the United States and banning Americans from doing business with the group.

Doesn't torturing someone to death make you just as bad as the person you are torturing?
Isn't it just a never ending cycle of death? Some terrorists are hypocrites and only commit acts of terror to satisfy their blood lust not for their respective cause, such as international terrorists.
But most terrorists are local. Who have certain grievances that have been ignored and to call attention to them they resort to desperate actions like terrorism.
You cannot have the majority of people to continue being marginalized socially and economically and not expect either revolution(usually violent) or terrorism.
But if there were true and honest development, terror recruiters would not fare so well. They would encounter an indifferent or hostile populace who are content with preserving their new found social and economic mobility.
Bullets and bombs are usually brought to use when its too late and the cycle of death has taken hold on the minds of people. Then it is almost impossible to go back, because blood has been shed and nothing will be the same again.
So to undermine terrorism, you cannot exclusively look into your weapons arsenal, but into your development one as well.
