Honest question here, since I don't speak Arabic:

I have the vague impression that when I listen to American soldiers in a fight, I'm hearing mostly operational chatter. (To be sure, often at high volume, and interspersed with a lot of cussing. And there's a lot of cheering over JDAM strikes.)

But in scenes like this, I'm hearing ritual exclamations, "Allahu Ackbar!" more than anything else. In fact, this sort of thing is so loud, and so frequent, it might well drown out operational stuff to the point that it interferes with the mission.

So, while it's not clear cut, I do get the strong impression that American forces are far more disciplined in battle than the opposing forces.

Am I on target, or am I just hearing what I want to hear?
