The Martyrs of Cordoba, southern Spain consist of a number of Christians who were brutally executed during the 9th century under the Sharia Law imposed upon them by the occupying Muslim rulers, mostly under the enforcement of Abd ar-Rahman II.
Most of the Christian martyrs knew their fate for deliberately disobeying the Islamic Law imposed on them, but they refused to live according to the ideals of a false prophet forced upon them by foreign invaders.
