The story comes from The Telegraph.

Syria: fighter jet downed in Aleppo

A video posted on a social media website on Saturday purports to show the remains of fighter downed over the town of Anjara in western Aleppo.

The footgae appears to show a clearing where a large patch of the ground is scorched and burned. A large, excited crowd has gathered at the scene.

An armed man walking towards the wreckage claims the aircraft belongs to the Syrian government, naming President Bashar al-Assad.

Strewn across the ground are bits of debris, many of which are smoking and on fire.

Scores of people can be seen cheering and chanting around the wreckage in celebration, with people firing their weapons into the air.

The video cannot be independently verified, because of foreign reporting restrictions in Syria.
