A New Raid By Syrian Forces Said To Have Tortured and Executed 43 People

I know...the accounts of atrocities by the Assad regime have really become quite mundane because there are like three or four seemingly every week.  But the latest one seems to come with a rather large death count as 43 bodies were found after 100 people were rounded up by government forces in a district of Damascus.

From the report at DAWN:

A raid by Syrian security forces near the capital Damascus killed 43 people, some of whom were tortured and executed, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said on Thursday.

“Regime forces entered the Jdaidet Artuz district (southwest of Damascus) on Wednesday and arrested around 100 young people who were taken to a school and tortured,” the watchdog said in a statement.

“On Thursday morning after the operation the bodies of 43 people were recovered. Some of them had been summarily executed.”

Funny thing here...I haven't heard a single thing from that aspect of the Muslim world which is always so quick to point out some sort of military offense on the part of America on the Afghan people....know what I mean?  Three Afghan civilians get hit by shrapnel from a U.S. bombing in Afghanistan and the imams and clerics and government heads go apeshit but 43 people in Syria are gunned down in cold blood by Assad forces and all we hear from the complainers is crickets.
