Okay, first off, this is a breaking story from DAWN out of Pakistan and the details are extremely limited so we don't know the nationality of the two NATO troops that have been killed by a poser in an Aghan Army uniform - I'm assuming the attacker is a Taliban or at least a Taliban sympathizer who got himself a uniform to pull off this attack.

The fact that this happened in Helmand could mean the NATO troops are American, British or Canadian.

And once again we see how dangerous it is even on our bases in Afghanistan - this is something that Barack Hussein Obama doesn't seem to mention when he talks about a shift of U.S. support next year to the training of Afghan troops - he never brings up the air of distrust that has continued to spread as these types of attacks increase.

KABUL: Officials say an Afghan in an army uniform has shot and killed two international service members inside a Nato base in southern Afghanistan.

Nato spokesman Maj. Jason Waggoner says the attack happened Monday morning in southern Afghanistan. He says a man in an Afghan army uniform killed two service members and the gunman was shot dead. He declined to provide further details.

A Western official in southern Afghanistan confirmed that the incident happened at a base in Lashkar Gah, Helmand province, but declined to give further details. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because the information had not been officially released.
