Pakistani-born Chicago Taxi Driver Admits Trying To Send Funding To Al Qaeda

So here we have it again...another damn Pakistani who comes to America, looks like your normal immigrant and turns out to be a jihadi sympathizer and a guy who literally tried to send funds to al Qaeda to support their plans to kill Americans. Anyone else getting a little sick and damn tired of letting ANYONE in to this country from Pakistan?

The story comes from Gant Daily.

Chicago cab driver admits supporting Al-Qaeda

Chicago, IL, United States (AHN) – Pakistani-born Chicago taxi driver Raja Lahrasib Khan on Monday pleaded guilty to attempting to provide financial aid to terrorist group Al-Qaeda, an admission that could send him to jail for up to 15 years.

However, his sentence could be reduced to eight years imprisonment if he cooperates with the U.S. government. The court is set to announce his sentence on May 30.

The United States Justice Department, in a statement, said that 58-year-old Khan was arrested two years ago and had been deemed no threat to the U.S. However, the authorities kept him under custody on suspicion that he had sent a few hundred dollars to Pakistan-based terrorist leader Ilyas Kashmiri. He was also alleged to have accepted money from an undercover U.S. government agent to send to Pakistan.

Prosecutors also charged that Khan continued to send money to Pakistan despite knowing that Kashmiri was linked with Al-Qaeda. Khan also told the court that he had met Kashmiri, the leader of the Kashmir independence movement, in 2008 when Kashmiri told him about Osama bin Laden’s well-being.

Khan told the court that he gave between $200 to $250 to Kashmiri with the aim that the funds be used in attacks against on India.
