Military Genius Barack Hussein Obama Promises a Better U.S. Military After Gutting Troops On the Ground

Okay, you all know I am not a veteran....I've been upfront about that at this blog from the start but that doesn't mean that I am shellshocked at Barack Obama's announcement that slashing the number of troops in this country's military will not affect our military superiority in the world.

Here's what Obama said from DAWN's report:

President Barack Obama vowed Thursday the US military would maintain its “superiority” and bolster its presence in Asia despite planned cuts to the defense budget.

“So, yes, our military will be leaner, but the world must know, the United States is going to maintain our military superiority with armed forces that are agile, flexible and ready for the full range of contingencies and threats,” Obama told reporters at the Pentagon.

Unveiling a revised military strategy designed to reflect a more austere era, Obama said the plan called for increasing the American presence in the Pacific while moving away from large ground wars against insurgents.

“We’ll be strengthening our presence in the Asia Pacific, and budget reductions will not come at the expense of this critical region,” said Obama, in an unusual appearance in the Pentagon’s briefing room.

“As we look beyond the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and the end of long-term, nation-building with large military footprints, we’ll be able to ensure our security with smaller conventional ground forces,” Obama said.

Be very afraid America. This President of ours is going down the same path we have been down before and it's your lives that will be affected. This is the President that concurs that the Taliban are not our enemy, who doesn't believe it's worthwhile interrogating jihadists captured and now is pimping huge cuts in our boots on the ground as making something "leaner."

I ask the questin. Barry, have you looked around Washington, D.C.? You have a $15.5 trillion deficit that you've helped saddle us with, you have more bureaucracy than any government in the world and yet you decide the first thing that you need to make "leaner" is the damn number of troops defending us against over 100 avowed enemy countries and groups in this world. You have got to be fucking kidding me.

So, finally, what's the backup plan Barry? Let's say your "leaner" fighting force runs into a snag when we absolutely need massive forces at some spot in this world....and you don't have the boots....what then? Have you even thought it out, asshole?

Oh well, Mr. Obama...don't worry about it...it's just the lives of our kids and grandkids and our wives and sisters and uncles and aunts and grandfolks that you are rolling the dice with.

Obama vows US ‘military superiority’ despite cuts

WASHINGTON: President Barack Obama vowed Thursday the US military would maintain its “superiority” and bolster its presence in Asia despite planned cuts to the defense budget.

The strategy review is supposed to shape Pentagon budget priorities as Obama’s administration prepares for $487 billion in defense cuts over the next 10 years.

In a politically charged election year, White House officials stressed Obama was deeply involved in the strategy review and sought to portray the president as taking a responsible approach to defense spending informed by the advice of commanders.
