Taliban IED In Afghanistan Kills Six Children

I'm still checking but I haven't yet seen a denunciation from Afghanistan's President Karzai for the Taliban roadside bombing that killed six children along with a number of Afghan policemen. I know, it will be a cold day when Karzai ever bitches about the deaths of civilians caused by the Taliban...he reserves that fervor for any death that comes from a NATO or American military operation.

The IED explosion yesterday killed a total of 11 people including the six children who were all from the same family. I wonder...do you suppose the Taliban do a bunch of high fives when they see the body parts of little girls flying through the air?

The story comes from UPI.

11 killed in roadside bomb blast

KABUL, Afghanistan, Nov. 8 (UPI) -- A roadside bomb struck three police vehicles in northwestern Afghanistan's Badghis Province, killing 11 people, including two policemen, officials said.

The incident occurred as Afghans were observing the Muslim holiday Eid al-Adha, CNN reported. The others killed were from the same family, including six children, officials said.

Details of the blast were not immediately available, but Afghan Interior Ministry spokesman Sediq Sediqi blamed it on the Taliban, the report said.

"The Taliban once again killed many civilians including women and children during holy Eid day," he said. "This is yet another extreme kind of crime and atrocity by the Taliban."
