Al Qaeda in Iraq Strikes Baghdad With Two Bomb Blasts ...16 Dead...For Now

Once again we see Iraq shaken by a stubborn core element of al Qaeda in Iraq as today two bombs hit a section of Baghdad killing 16 people but I'm guessing that death toll may rise.

The story on this is very brief with few details but here's what we have from Breitbart:

Two bomb blasts killed at least 16 people in Baghdad on Thursday in the latest large attack to hit the Iraqi capital in less than a week, hospital and police sources said.

A roadside bomb exploded near a coffee shop in the Shi'ite district of Sadr City followed by a car bomb that detonated nearby, the sources said.

What we have seen is Baghdad taking serious hits from al Qaeda in Iraq ever since the Americans were forced to fall back out of the major cities due to arrangements for withdrawal. We warned the Iraqis that once we left the big cities, those would become the #1 targets. They didn't listen. And 16 people died today because they didn't listen.
