Taliban (More than likely) Send Suicide Bomber Into Pakistan Mosque...40 Killed

A suicide bomber blew himself up in a mosque during Friday prayers in the tribal region, killing at least 40 people. — File photo

Yep, you heard that right - a suicide bomber entered a MOSQUE in Khyber, Pakistan and set off his suicide belt killing at least 40 people today. Now, for those of you with short memories, you'll remember the mosque bombings that occurred during the Iraq War conducted by al Qaeda and that is why I'm suspecting this was the Taliban who are using the training and the ops manual from their evil brothers from al Qaeda.

From the story at DAWN:

Forty people were killed in a mosque bombing in northwest Pakistan, with 85 wounded, a government official said.

Local administrator Fazal Khan said there’s some evidence it was a suicide attack.

Some 300 people were at the mosque for Friday prayers when the bomb exploded in the Ghundi village of Khyber tribal region.

Now, this bombing qualifies as one of the bigger ones to happen in Pakistan in the last few months and Kyber isn't exactly a metropolis. This is all about the Taliban and al Qaeda flexing muscle in the NW region of Pakistan - it's all about the intimidation that I mentioned just the other day.

The message is clear - there is no place safe for anyone from the Taliban in the northwest provinces and agencies in Pakistan and sooner or later, the Pakistani military is going to have to get back off of their asses and go back to work again on the Taliban.

Suicide attack kills 40 in Khyber mosque

PESHAWAR: Forty people were killed in a mosque bombing in northwest Pakistan, with 85 wounded, a government official said.

Pakistan’s tribal belt is a hotbed of militant activity, as well as sectarian rivalry.

No group claimed responsibility for the bombing, but the Taliban and other insurgents have attacked scores of targets in the area, which lies along the Afghan border.
