I'm not sure I have ever reported a U.S. predator drone strike happening in Kurram agency in Pakistan so today must be a first, as 7 Taliban were taken out by hellfires that hit both a vehicle and also a house.

From the report at DAWN:

Pakistani officials say a second suspected US missile attack has struck a house in northwest Pakistan but casualties are not yet known.

Local government official Noor Alam says Monday’s attack on the house in the Kurram tribal area occurred minutes after missiles hit a nearby vehicle and killed seven people, five of whom were suspected militants.

Drone attacks are very rare in Kurram, an area where many Taliban militants and their allies have fled Pakistani army operations.

With this strike being so unusual in this are of NW Pakistan, I just have to believe that there is a reason for it. I don't mean to be over dramatic or suspicious but I'm really thinking that this was a helluva tip on a big fish. Let's face it, U.S. drones could strike every damn day in North Waziristan and never run out of Taliban to take out...so why all of a sudden do we see a strike in Kurram? And I've found that when the intelligence is especially on target, we see the strikes on vehicles.

Could this possibly have been a strike on al Qaeda #2 al Zawahiri? Or perhaps al Qaeda communications clown, Adam Gadahn? This is obviously pure conjecture on my part but it hasn't been long since the latest transmission from both of these guys and I think it is entirely possible that the couriers for those videos had been under surveillance.
