Afghan President Karzai Confirms That the U.S. Is In Peace Negotiations With the Taliban

Would ANY of you expect anything else out of Barack Hussein Obama but to fall for the well worn ploy of the Taliban to construct fraudulent peace agreements in any area of conflict that they are involved in? Does it surprise any of you that the Community Organizer-in-chief would be duped by a bunch of ragheads with long beards?

Well, Afghanistan's President has now publicly confirmed that the U.S. has officially been negotiating for at least two months with the Taliban to end the War in Afghanistan. Let's see, I didn't see Karzai point to the 32 "peace agreements" that the same Taliban signed in Pakistan and the fact that the Taliban BROKE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM.

From the article at The Jerusalem Post:

The United States and other foreign powers are engaged in preliminary talks with the Taliban about a possible settlement to the near decade-long war in Afghanistan, Afghan President Hamid Karzai said on Saturday, the first official confirmation of US involvement in negotiations.

Diplomats have already said there have been months of preliminary talks between the two sides, and Karzai, who is a strong advocate of peace talks, has long said Afghans are in contact with insurgent groups.

"Peace talks are going on with the Taliban. The foreign military and especially the United States itself is going ahead with these negotiations," Karzai told a news conference in the Afghan capital.

Just so I can officially announce off in the future that I "told you so"....I'd like to go on record as to how this will all pan out. If an agreement was actually arrived at between the U.S., NATO, Afghanistan and the Taliban, we will see a withdrawal of troops and such out of the country. Within one year of that peace agreement, we will begin to see the Taliban taking over village after village after village by force. We will see schools closed, we will see sharia trials set up across the country. We will see the Taliban refuse to stop their purging of the population centers. Then, we will receive word of the first Taliban training camp being set up in the country where it is revealed that al Qaeda is there and actively training. Not long after, you will see the leadership of al Qaeda move back to Afghanistan. And within two years, you will see the Afghan government unseated by the Taliban. Karzai will flee to Turkey or America and there you have it....the Taliban run Afghanistan back as it was pre-9/11.

Way to go Barack Hussein Obama.

Hamid Karzai confirms US is talking to Taliban

KABUL- The United States and other foreign powers are engaged in preliminary talks with the Taliban about a possible settlement to the near decade-long war in Afghanistan, Afghan President Hamid Karzai said on Saturday, the first official confirmation of US involvement in negotiations.

The US Embassy in Kabul declined immediate comment.

Karzai was speaking the day after the UN Security Council split the UN sanctions list for Taliban and al-Qaida figures into two, which envoys said could help induce the Taliban into talks on a peace deal in Afghanistan.

Despite hopes that talks with the Taliban could provide the political underpinning for the US staged withdrawal from Afghanistan, the discussions are still not at the stage where they can be a deciding factor.

US Defense Secretary Robert Gates said earlier this month there could be political talks with the Taliban by the end of this year, if the NATO alliance kept making military advances on the ground, putting pressure on the insurgents.

There are also many Afghans, among them women's and civil society activists, who fear talks with the insurgents could undo much of the progress they have made since the 2001 ouster of the Taliban government.

The United States is on the verge of announcing a "substantial" drawdown of American troops from Afghanistan, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said on Friday.

"There's going to be a drawdown. I am confident that it will be one that's substantial. I certainly hope so," the leading Senate Democrat said during an interview with PBS Newshour.

There currently are about 100,000 US troops fighting in Afghanistan, up from about 34,000 when President Barack Obama took office in 2009.

Did you expect anything different from Barack Hussein Obama. He is the President who has the record for apologizing to each and every country but one (Israel).

Expect him to pay them billons of dollars!

From what I understand, islam permits negotiations with non-muslims in exactly two situations: to facilitate the conversion of the non-muslims to islam; and to procure a temporary truce, called hudna in Arabic, while the muslims are weak, which they later intend to break when they become stronger. I wonder if our negotiators know this.

Great comments here by all...I agree totally with Anon and Findalis that this is going to be a big $$$ giveaway for Obama and Bigfoot, thanks for pointing out exactly what is going on here in regards to the hudna.
