Such sad news I just received as a friend of mine of many years from the Table 9 Chat and before that the Lizard Lounge, Zinowl...or as I always referred to him, "Zinner", has passed away after battling an illness that, while it took a lot out of him, I really thought he was going to be fine.
I had the utmost of respect for Zinner over the years....a more passionate conservative you probably will never find. Sure we were friends and yep, we did have some disagreements but over the years we would sit in that chat room and trade strategies and tactics on how to run the damn Liberals out of this country.
I never got the chance to meet my friend Zinner and I kick myself now because at one point he lived just a mere two states away but I feel like I had met him. Perhaps some of you know what I mean.
I remember specifically and so vividly the lead up to the 2008 Presidential election...Zinner was always the eternal optimist and he kept assuring me that McCain would pull it out and Obama would get what he deserved. And that election came and went and the bad news sent Zinner away from the chat room for literally two months - he was that devastated by it.
In this time of hurt and pain and loneliness, I want to wish Zinner's wife the peace and comfort that she needs - her husband often spoke of how important she was to his life. I wish his family the same.
And for my friend, my "Zinner" .... well, buddy, I will miss you with all of my heart. The chat room won't ever be the same without you, my friend, but one day we will meet again and we can pick up right where we left off.
This was a man who loved his family and loved his friends and most of all, he simply adored his country. I've lost a friend. You have lost a patriot.
For a dear friend who will so sorely be missed:

I will miss him, but I rejoice for him, for he is now free while we are still troubled. My deepest condolences to his family and our friends. Think of us Zin, for we shall always think of you.
Yeah. We're still having trouble seeing the keyboard through the tears. He was happy, wicked smart, caring and fun.
He loved his family - and he was amazingly happy in the new digs.
