The word is out this afternoon that President Barack Obama has decided that the U.S. government will not release the photos of Osama bin Laden's dead body for the American people or the world to see. Hmmmm. It appears now that the "transparent" President we elected, you know the one that wouldn't release his actual birth certificate for 3 years...the one who still hasn't released his college transcripts ...well now he won't release the photos of bin Laden.
I would make the assertion, President Obama, that those photos of Osama bin Laden DON'T BELONG TO YOU, sir. Those photos are the property of the American people taken by members of the U.S. military and/or intelligence services. The American people who sacrificed 3,000 of our brothers and sisters on that fateful day in September of 2001 deserve to see final justice against the man that ordered their murder. If I hear one more moron in this country make the statement that the photos of bin Laden will only inflame those radical islamists in the world, I swear I am going to scream.
Lesson for all of those playing that broken record - the islamists of this world HATE AMERICA BECAUSE WE ARE INFIDELS, you asswipes. They already are inflamed against America because we don't worship allah or Mohammed. They are already inflamed against us because we don't beat our women and cover them like stored furniture. They are already inflamed against us because we won't bow down to their moon god and let them have our country.
I'm at wit's end here. We have an American President who is going to Ground Zero yet still won't acknowledge what happened there. We have a leader who refuses to place the blame where it belongs.
From the article at US News:
In his first interview since U.S. forces killed al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, President Obama told 60 Minutes he will not release the photos of Laden's corpse. The issue of whether to released the photos of bin Laden's body became a hot topic of debate this week. Some argued the photos would show proof of bin Laden's death while others thought the release could be inflammatory.
But ultimately, Obama administration officials deemed the photos too gruesome and said DNA and face recognition technology are enough to prove bin Laden's death.
As for this lame excuse about the photos being too gruesome...well, give me a break there too. Half this country, at some point in time, has paid money to watch that kind of gruesome at a movie theater. This is absolute nonsense by a group of government officials who are completely out of touch with America.
I ask you all this - is this President and this administration that stupid? Do they really think the American people want to see the photos so they are sure bin Laden is dead? We don't need fucking proof, moron....we need vengeance. We need to see what our Navy SEALs did to that bastard. We need to see the look on bin Laden's face as he found out Mohammed was a joke. We have waited ten years to see this man PAY FOR HIS SINS. Show us the damn photos. Now.
Yesterday, I was listening to Glenn Beck's radio program and the person in charge of Beck's "The Blaze" website was on and they had done a poll of which over 20,000 Americans had voted asking whether or not the photos of bin Laden should be shown....94% of the respondents said YES.
You won't release the photos, Mr. Obama? Well, then we will go to work to get those photos from the U.S. government and release them ourselves. There are plenty of Americans like me that DEMAND that I see those photos. We have paid the price in blood here and the photos of the final justice for that animal is REQUIRED. No ifs. No ands. No buts.

CIA chief Leon Panetta told NBC's Brian Williams that the White House should release the photos. But ultimately, Obama administration officials deemed the photos too gruesome and said DNA and face recognition technology are enough to prove bin Laden's death. The United States buried bin Laden at sea, reportedly in accordance to Muslim custom.

Agreed - the photos should be released - the body should have been put on display like they used to do dead cattle rustlers in the Old West, this is what happens when you fuck with U.S..
The photos will be declassified at some point - I'm not loosing sleep over it.
As a GRUNT (opposite of a POGUE) serving overseas. I respect the president's decision. And as usual Im sure he didn't come to the decision without consulting with rational people. The level of IDF (indirect fire) and kinetic engagements we received after that pastor burned the Koran was ridiculous. It simply makes sense. Thank you Mr. President, If no one else, the troops, that are BOG (Boots On Ground), doing the whole hearts and minds campaign really appreciate it. Thank you Mr. Barrack HUSSEIN Obama
Enhanced interrogation can work, but is very unreliable because, as mm3264 stated, people will say whatever you want them to, to stop the torture. Many suspects have been tried and convicted on false confessions attained through enhanced interrogation from the police, and this is why they are no longer allowed to use these methods to obtain information. Thank God it led to our troops finding Bin Laden, but I wouldn't trust the information in most cases.
