Okay, it's time for another one of those "you gotta be kidding me" stories out of the world of Islam and sharia law. I really cannot do a better job of describing the lunacy of this latest edition of islamic madness than the article written up in The Saudi Gazette:
A 23-year-old unmarried woman was awarded one-year prison term and 100 lashes for committing adultery and trying to abort the resultant fetus.
The District Court in Jeddah pronounced the verdict on Saturday after the girl confessed that she had a forced sexual intercourse with a man who had offered her a ride. The man, the girl confessed, took her to a rest house, east of Jeddah, where he and four of friends assaulted her all night long.
The girl claimed that she became pregnant soon after and went to King Fahd Hospital for Armed Forces in an attempt to carry out an abortion. She was eight weeks’ pregnant then, the hospital confirmed.
Unfortunately, this isn't the first story of this kind that we have seen. Nearly every day in some backwater news media outlet in this world you'll find a story like this. And to me, what if furthers purports is the damnation of Islam as a ideology initiated by a guy with some serious issues with women.
Let me ask you this - name one other religion that establishes more of a demeaning place for a woman on this earth. In fact, I'd like you to name me one other religion that shows the obsession of Islam with women. Mohammed wanted to see that women were oppressed for all time - he knew at some point he would be dead and he simply couldn't rest without knowing that those foul and slutty women were to be ground under the heel of men for all time.
More than 2300 years after the death of Mohammed, we have a 23 year old woman sitting in prison for being raped. Yeah, allahu ackbar baby.

According to the ruling, the woman will be sent to a jail outside Jeddah to spend her time and will be lashed after delivery of her baby who will take the mother’s last name.

You see, they actually think she is being compensated for her good deed, allowing herself to be used and abused. Abuse is good for a woman. This is her role in islam. Like a step to be stepped on.

Also did you notice that the lashes won't take place until after the baby is born?
How considerate of them.
200 lashes would kill anyone. thus, they have to wait until the baby is born becuase, you know, it might be a boy baby.
this just reinforces in my mind that islam is demonic, of the devil. because the devil hates women... goes all the way back to Eve whom he deceived and then to Mary who gave birth to the Saviour.
