Barack Hussein Obama Continues His Appeasement of the Muslim World, America's First Ambassador To Syria in 6 Years Arrives In Damascus

Let's just do a little recap here, shall we? In 2005, the U.S. removed its ambassador to Syria over the fact that the Syrians were involved in the assassination of a former Lebanese Prime Minister. Since the removal of the ambassador to Syria, we have seen Syria continue its long standing relationship with Iran, we have seen Syria involved in rearming Hezbollah in Lebanon and we have seen the Syrians attempt to put a nuclear weapons development facility into their country (before the Israelis destroyed it)....boy, that certainly is a record that would warrant America reinstating diplomatic relations with Syria, right?

Only Barack Hussein Obama would ignore the instances I just listed. Only Barack Hussein Obama would ignore the complicity of the Syrians in allowing jihadis to travel through their country and cross into Iraq through the Syrian border to kill American troops in the Iraq War.

From the article at Breitbart:

Robert Ford, the first US ambassador to Syria since 2005, arrived on Sunday in Damascus where he will have a challenging task to re-engage the two countries which disagree on a raft of issues.

"The US ambassador arrived in Damascus," a US embassy source told AFP.

"He will not have any official meetings before submitting his credentials to President Bashar al-Assad," in line with protocol, the source said, adding that the procedure should take place within the week.

Ford's arrival comes almost six years after Washington withdrew ambassador Margaret Scobey, days after the February 2005 assassination in Beirut of ex-premier Rafiq Hariri in a massive car bomb.

The attack was widely blamed on Syria but Damascus has always denied the allegations.

I find it ironic that at a time when the relationship between America and Israel has never been as strained or at odds, an American President, who is responsible for that wedge between the Israelis and Americans, decides now is the right time to become diplomatically friendly with one of the sworn enemies of Israel.

I give it about three or four months before we see this ambassador of ours to Syria to start with the rhetoric how Israel could really improve things in the Middle East if they would cede the Golan Heights to Syria.

We have a U.S. President who has made it clear....in his eyes, America is no longer an ally of Israel but views Syria and Egypt and Saudi Arabia as the true friends.

A career diplomat with wide knowledge of the Arab world, Ford takes up his post at a time of renewed tensions in neighbouring Lebanon, where the Syrian- and Iranian-backed Hezbollah and its allies quit the government on Wednesday over a UN-backed probe into Hariri's murder.

Saudi Arabia, UAE, also sworn enemies of Israel - see if we ever break off relations with these nations. Money and oil will always win out over allegiance to Israel when it comes to American foreign policy.
