Finally! U.S. Drone Strikes Resume in North Waziristan, 5 Taliban Killed

Well, as I posted the other day - the seriously long delay in U.S. predator drone strikes has continued...until today when two separate strikes took place in North Waziristan killing five Taliban and/or al Qaeda.

From the report at DAWN:

Two suspected US missile strikes killed at least four people in the North Waziristan tribal region on Wednesday, intelligence officials said.

The officials said the first strike occurred early Wednesday morning when a drone fired a missile at a house in the Spin Wam area of the North Waziristan tribal region, killing two people.

They said the second attack took place in the early afternoon when a drone fired a missile at a vehicle in the Dattakhel area of North Waziristan, killing three suspected militants.
Now, it will be interesting if the rate of these strikes now return to normal or if this was a bit of an exception to a new policy - perhaps this was a chance to get some bad guy leadership that just couldn't be passed up.

Hopefully, this is the first in a long string of resuming these strikes. I don't care what most of the MSM are saying right now, these strikes have taken a toll on the Taliban and have shaped their discussions and planning. My only question, as I mentioned the other day, is whether or not our own leaders have tainted this strategy.
