The Gates of Hell Welcome the "Flotilla Ten"

What with the Memorial Day holiday yesterday and my decision to honor that day with only posts of Remembrance, I won't rehash the Israeli operation that killed ten jihadi lovers off the coast of Gaza. I will encourage all of you to visit this blog, The Muqata, as it does a stellar job of enlightening us all with the truth on this powderkeg of an incident. Many of you will remember how much I leaned on The Muqata during the Operation Cast Lead war.

I do want to pick out a few portions of The Muqata's coverage which I think are the most telling:

As we start wrapping up today's events, its not surprising to see the world's condemnation of Israel. We expect it. Regardless of the non-lethal force the IDF was expecting to use, or the "peace activists" Israel was expecting on the ships, today's events spiraled out of control as terrorists brutally attacked IDF soldiers with intent to kill.It should come as no surprise either as Israel gets blamed by self-righteous "moderate" Jewish bloggers, that seem to always line up with Israel's most radical leftists.Right now Israel needs your support.None of the "leftwing humanitarians" could care less about Gilad Shalit, nor were they willing to do even the bare minimum of delivering a letter to him from his family. Today's entire episode has nothing to do with Gazans or human rights. Its entirely about destroying Israel.

On the day before the Gaza flotilla confronted the Israeli navy, Al-Jazeera TV documented the pre-battle atmosphere created by men on board the flotilla, chanting a well known Islamic battle cry invoking the killing and defeat of Jews in battle:"[Remember] Khaibar, Khaibar, oh Jews! The army of Muhammad will return!"Khaibar is the name of the last Jewish village defeated by Muhammad's army in 628. Many Jews were killed in that battle, which marked the end of Jewish presence in Arabia. There are Muslims who see that as a precursor for future wars against Jews. At gatherings and rallies of extremists, this chant is often heard as a threat to Jews to expect to be defeated and killed again by Muslims.Al-Jazeera also interviewed a woman who said that the flotilla participants' goal was "one of two happy endings: either Martyrdom or reaching Gaza."

Now for my reaction to this - as some of you may remember, I blogged about this upcoming confrontation days ago:

• First off, this does NOT surprise me - this was an ambush by terrorist appeasers and we are lucky that no IDF were killed in this operation


• I only regret that Hell will only be welcoming ten of its minnions home


• I will be watching the Obama administration closely regarding their response to this event - if there is condemnation of Israel, in any form, by our President or his staff or the Department of State, you will certainly see an eruption on Mount Holger


• Personally, I have a solution to this problem in the future - as these "flotillas" embark on their journey from the likes of Cyprus, American war ships are called in to simply blow them out of the water - all survivors shall be left to their own devices against the sharks

I'll leave it at this - this was a contingent of activists who sought to bring weapons and tunneling materials to wanted terrorists. These boats were manned and occupied by those who support the massacre of innocent Israeli women and children. These 10 dead terror-appeasers celebrated the murder, torture and disfigurement of IDF soldiers by Hezbollah. There's an old saying....."The Lord works in mysterious ways." Well, the Lord worked yesterday and to some of us, it is no mystery at all.
