Video: Global Warmists Win, Dutch Succumb To Bicycle Travel Chaos
You'll notice in this video that only American adults have fallen for the guilt scam of bike helmets.
I take another tack on this matter, Mr. H. You could say that I'm in the "What ever works" school of thought.
It makes a lot of sense to them. The way urban centers are designed in Northern Europe, a bicycle is the ideal mode of transport for many. Having lived there, I can attest to that. Parking is at a premium, there are many dedicated bicycle throughways. And besides, you can get to work without having to fork out 7-8 Bucks a Gallon (but that's another can-o-Socialist-worms).
In any case, what works for the Danes/Dutch/Belgies, most certainly doesn't here in the U.S. Our cities' typical lay-out simply do not lend themselves to pedaling your way to work. Except for a few eccentrics, it is just impractical for us to do the same.
