Let's see, and old-fashioned iron Mk82 costs about $6,000. But when you add the new-fangled guidance package, you are all of a sudden pushing $25,000 for the trick.
No wonder this war has cost us over $1 Trillion and counting.
Well, if you want to make it about math . . ... When protecting our troops on the ground from snipers, well placed JDAM's are worth every penny, and then some.
Maybe some cutbacks in the music program at Carnegie Hall, where some stagehands make over $430k/year, would help pay for the much needed ordnance!
