So, we are in day three of the South Waziristan operation by the Pakistani military and the answer to that from the Taliban and al Qaeda has been to conduct twin bombings on a university in Islamabad that has killed four students and injured 22 - most of them female students. From the report at Breitbart:
This is pretty typical of the terrorists - instead of fighting the Pakistani military eye to eye, they resort to blowing up innocent 19 year olds in hopes that the civilian population will plead with the government to withdraw from the offensive. And in the meantime, we are probably going to see this death toll climb (it started out as one killed and is now four).
The fact that this attack took place in the nation's capital is no coincidence - the Taliban and al Qaeda want to reach as far into the main population centers as they can to try and sway public opinion against the South Waziristan operations.
At least four students were killed and 22 others were injured in twin blasts Tuesday at a university in Islamabad, Pakistan's capital, local media reported.
Aaj-TV reported that one of the blasts occurred at a cafeteria of the International Islamic University while the other hit the university's Shariat Faculty.
Most of the victims were female students, according to local media.

LEAD: Blasts at Islamabad university kill at least 4, injure 22+
ISLAMABAD, Oct. 20 (AP) - (Kyodo)—(EDS: UPDATING WITH HIGHER CASUALTY TOLL)
The incident comes after the Pakistan Army launched a new operation against militants in northwestern Pakistan.
All educational institutions run by federal government, the Pakistan Army and North-West Frontier Province government were earlier this week closed down for a week after intelligence reports suggested militants might take hostage a school bus or schoolchildren.
Some private schools and colleges in Islamabad were also closed, but classes were going on at the International Islamic University when the blasts occurred, Aaj-TV reported.
Earlier Tuesday, two bombs planted near a high school for girls in Peshawar, the capital of restive North-West Frontier Province, were found and defused,, Geo-TV reported.
