Ship Seized With North Korean Weapons Bound For Iran, U.N. Is Mum On Embargo Violation

Once again, the United Nations exhibits their enforcement capabilities in the world...this time, a ship bound for Iran was seized by the United Arab Emirates and found to be loaded with weapons from North Korea. This is a direct violation of an embargo of Iran set forth by the United Nations. From the article at Breitbart, looks look at how the U.N. is handling this grave situation:

Quoting diplomats in New York, the British newspaper said the UAE has reported the seizure of the vessel to the U.N. sanctions committee responsible for vetting the implementation of measures, including an arms embargo, imposed against North Korea under Security Council resolution 1874.
The committee, chaired by Turkey, has made no formal announcement about the case, the paper said.

So there you have it, the United Nations committee has been sitting on this violation and has done NOTHING until the info now has leaked out. Which brings up another point I'd like to make...has anyone else noticed that every fucking "committee" at the U.N. has a muslim chairperson?

Here's more of what happened:

The United Arab Emirates seized a ship several weeks ago that was bound for Iran and carrying North Korean weapons in violation of a U.N. embargo, Reuters news agency reported Friday, citing Western diplomats.
"They (UAE) did seize the ship and it was carrying weapons from North Korea for Iran," a U.N. Security Council diplomat was quoted as saying on condition of anonymity, confirming a British newspaper report.
The Financial Times reported earlier Friday that the UAE has seized a ship secretly carrying embargoed North Korean arms to Iran.

I think most of my readers understand the worthless nature of the U.N. but I wish to put forth that in my opinion, we in the U.S. have gotten to the point that the U.N. is actually operating as an ENEMY of the nation of the United States of America. Our country has been threatened in the past by BOTH North Korea and Iran and this non-action by this U.N. committee amounts to acts against the welfare of America. One could say this is equivalent to an act of war. Now, I don't think you can probably declare war on the U.N. but hell, might be worth a shot.

UAE seized ship with N. Korean arms bound for Iran: reports+

NEW YORK, Aug. 28 (AP) - (Kyodo)—The United Arab Emirates seized a ship several weeks ago that was bound for Iran and carrying North Korean weapons in violation of a U.N. embargo, Reuters news agency reported Friday, citing Western diplomats.
The Financial Times said the vessel was still being held in the UAE, where the authorities are understood to have found various forms of basic weaponry, including rocket-propelled grenades, which had been labeled as machine parts.
The U.N. Security Committee adopted the resolution in June to impose a broad range of additional financial, trade and other sanctions on North Korea in response to its second nuclear test on May 25.
Among the measures is the stricter enforcement of inspections of North Korean cargo by calling on U.N. member states to seize its ships on the high seas if they are suspected of carrying missile or nuclear items.

I wonder why this is only coming out now. You would think they would have reported this when it happened to strengthen the case against North Korea.
