I love this...on the same day that some of George Mitchell's pro-Paletinian henchmen arrived in Israel to try and revive peace talks between Syria and Israel, an Israeli cabinet committee revived a bill that would make it mandatory for any Israeli pullout of the Golan Heights to be approved by Israel's parliament or by national referendum. This is beautiful. The significance of this is that the Syrians won't even THINK about any peace agreement with Israel without getting the Golan Heights back and with this bill in place, you can almost picture the faces of the Mitchell puppets.....hear them saying "We're screwed!" haha

Israel revives bill that could hamper Golan pullout
JERUSALEM (Reuters) - An Israeli cabinet panel has endorsed a bill that would require parliamentary approval or a national referendum before any pullout from occupied Syrian territory, an official said on Tuesday.
The decision could delay any withdrawal as part of a peace agreement. Under current law Israeli governments have sole power to decide the terms of any peace treaty.
It was made by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's ministerial law committee on Sunday, the day a U.S. envoy arrived in the region with the reported aim of seeking to restart Israeli-Syrian talks.
The official confirmed a report on Israel's Channel 10 television that the panel had revived a bill that would mandate that any withdrawal be approved by a two-thirds majority of Parliament, or a national referendum.
The measure, dubbed by Israeli media "the Golan Bill" after the strategic plateau captured in the 1967 war, must pass several more votes before it can become law.
"There is still a very long process ahead before this would become law," the official said.
Frederick Hoff, an adviser to U.S. peace envoy George Mitchell, arrived in Israel on Sunday. Officials have declined comment on media reports he was examining ways to renew negotiations between Israel and Syria.
The two countries last held direct talks in 2000 that stalled over the future of the occupied Golan Heights, which Israel annexed in 1981 in a move not recognized internationally.
Israel and Syria held indirect talks with Turkish mediation last year but Syria froze contacts to protest Israel's war last January in the Gaza Strip.

Is it any wonder why I have given Bibi the Brass Ball Award?
The man is driving Obama crazy.
Love It!!!!!!!!!
Holger, Syria now has a "letterbox" operation where Assad can go to get dispatches from Peres and Netanyahu.
It is all about "peace talks" don't ya know, and Syria demarcating her borders so that Israel will give up Shebaa Farms.
The last I heard, Assad is to post his own communique back to the Israeli gentlemen this Thursday.
The Israeli cabinet is playing hardball, not just Netanyahu. I think things are being "fixed" so that should one leader go soft, he'll be stopped.
As Findalis said: Love It!!!!!!
Findalis,
Bibi rocks!
Maggie,
Thanks...the Israelis learned alot of Olmert..if you know what I mean.

I know a way for Obama to get Bibi in line - cut him from our welfare rolls (3 billion last year? in one lump sum), too bad Obama ain't got the balls to do it. There is too much water in the Golan Heights for Israel to give it up - at least that is one place where Israel defines its borders, in the West Bank they have never declared what is theirs and what ain't - the Palestinians don't know what to recognize if its not defined.
