Iran Could Have Nuclear Bomb In Six Months

A German Intelligence Agency is claiming that Iran could be testing a nuclear weapon in as little as six months, which is considerably sooner than most other estimates and of course, if this is legitimate, it more than likely will speed up the timeline for President Barack Hussein Obama to bow down to the mullahs and offer up a couple of U.S. states to the Iranians in exchange for them not aiming said missiles at us. My guess is that all of the political leaders on the Left in America will view this as "propaganda" and we might even hear a couple of Democrat Congressmen asking "where are the WMD's?" But, the fact of the matter is....we have seen most of the world disrupted by the threats and actions of a non-player like North Korea and in the not to distant future we will see probably weekly threats from the Iranians - can you even imagine the rhetoric coming out of Iran if they have nuclear weapons? Here's the story from Reuters:

Iran could have atomic bomb within 6 months: report

BERLIN (Reuters) - Germany's BND foreign intelligence agency believes Iran is capable of producing and testing an atomic bomb within six months, much sooner than most analysts estimate, according to a report in German weekly Stern.
The report, which quotes BND experts, says the agency has information supporting the view that Iran has mastered the enrichment technology necessary to make a bomb and has enough centrifuges to make weaponized uranium.
"If they wanted to, they could detonate an atomic bomb in half a year's time," the story quoted a BND expert as saying.
The BND did not return two calls from Reuters seeking comment on the report.
Iran says its nuclear program is for electricity generation to help it export more of its oil and gas, but Western countries suspect it of trying to pursue a nuclear bomb.
The U.N. Security Council has imposed three sets of sanctions on Tehran for defying its demands to suspend uranium enrichment.
Some analysts say Iran may be close to having the required material for producing a bomb, but most say the weaponization process would then take one to two years due to technical and political hurdles.
"Weaponizing" enrichment would not escape the notice of U.N. nuclear watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), unless it was done at a secret location.
Until now there have been no indications of any such covert diversion, a point made by the IAEA's incoming director-general shortly after his election earlier this month.
Current IAEA chief Mohamed ElBaradei has said it is his "gut feeling" that Iran is seeking at least the capability to build nuclear weapons, in order to protect itself from perceived regional and U.S. threats.

Iran's missiles will not be aimed at the U.S. and cannot reach us anyway - nor will Iran attack Israel because Israel has more nukes per capita than anyone. Mutually assured destruction.

Iran wants nukes because they are a deterrent against invasion. Once you have nukes, no one fucks with you. Name a nation that has been invaded after they acquired nuclear weapons - not one.

Holger - your blog rules, even if I disagree 90% of the time, you do a great job updating constantly. Its a little over the top sometimes, but so am I. I love to argue politics, but most people around me either agree with me or don't give a damn enough to debate. Thanks again for giving me an outlet to rant.

I see Esquerita lives in a Fairy Tale Land. Iran doesn't care about MAD. They swear that if they start WW 3 it will bring the return of the Mahdi, the 12th Iman. So if they get a nuke, they will use a nuke.
