Sweeeeeeeeeeet! Yesterday we celebrated Good Friday and today we could call, Great Saturday as U.S., NATO and Afghan forces beat the shit out of the Taliban in two districts of southern Helmand province in Afghanistan. The final tally of dead Taliban numbers 66 with over 15 wounded - not a bad day at all, huh? Here's the brief story in its entirety from UPI:
But hey, 66 Taliban stacked up like cordwood is not a bad day's work - somewhere there's an announcement in Hell going on over the P.A. saying that they are running out of virgins.
66 Afghan Taliban killed in raidsIt's my guess that Helmand is filling up fast with "spring offensive" Taliban, well rested from the winter in Pakistan and so, it's good to see the U.S. and NATO forces carrying out these missions before they are facing too large of numbers.
KABUL, Afghanistan, April 11 (UPI) -- Some 66 Taliban members were killed and 15 others were injured in a pair of joint operations in Afghanistan, military officials said Saturday.
The raids, carried out by coalition and Afghan security forces, happened Friday in the Nawa and Nad Ali districts of the volatile southern province of Helmand, CNN reported.
The U.S. broadcaster said poppy cultivation in southern Afghanistan, while still providing two-thirds of the world's supply of opium, has dropped by 20 percent to the lowest level since 2006.

Well I would like to celebrate, but we must remember what the left keeps telling us about how each one we kill breeds a bajillion more or something like that. So unfortunately these 66 killed will lead to (checks is math) 435,308 terrorists.
pyro,
Sorry...you can't bring me down...i'm STILL celebrating!

As far as the 15 wounded go, all I can say is some of our guys need to spend more time on the range. Should not have been any wounded, only dead taliwhackers.
Hooah!!!
