Janet Napolitano Is An Idiot...and An Incompetent

Okay, before y'all think I've gone stark raving mad with that thread title above, I'll be making my point here soon enough. Today, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano tried to excuse the infamous "right wing extremist" memo and I want to focus on what EXACTLY she said - this is via the article at The Chicago Tribune:

The report was "an assessment, not an accusation," Napolitano said. "We do not mean to suggest that veterans as a whole are at risk of becoming violent extremists."
She also said: "I apologize for that offense. It was certainly not intended."
Okay, so Napolitano wants to just wave off the whole memo, the whole incident, the whole insult by saying "It was certainly not intended." Well, I'll tell you what Secretary Napolitano, that IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH! I'm so damn sick of this ploy by politicians who purposely put out these communications that they know are flat out lies but are part of their propaganda of fear and intimidation and then they all use this standard line of bullshit the next day when their asses are in a bind and the country is holding their fat butt to the fire...that pussy line about 'oh my! I never intended for it to come across like that!' Well bullshit - we all KNOW you meant it Napolitano - it's still hanging out their like a huge matzo ball whether you apologize for it or not. You bloody well meant it, you got your message across loud and clear. And us "extremists" have a long memory.

This Secretary of Homeland Security insulted our veterans, and also about 70% of the country - half-assed apologies don't make it....only her resignation will suffice.

Now, referring back to the thread title I posted here:

Janet Napolitano Is An Idiot...and An Incompetent
Well, all I can say is I'm really "sorry" about that title, I certainly didn't intend for Ms. Napolitano to take that the wrong way. There, all better now, right?

Homeland Security chief Napolitano defends agency assessment of right-wing extremist risks

WASHINGTON (AP) — Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano on Thursday dismissed criticism of an intelligence assessment by her agency that says some military veterans could be susceptible to extremist recruiters or commit lone acts of violence.Napolitano described the report, issued last week, as part of the department's routine of analyzing intelligence information to give law enforcement agencies guidance on possible security threats.During a series of interviews on network news programs, she was asked about the report's assertion that some U.S. military veterans could be seen as potential converts to right-wing extremism during a down economy. The report was "an assessment, not an accusation," Napolitano said. "We do not mean to suggest that veterans as a whole are at risk of becoming violent extremists."

She also said: "I apologize for that offense. It was certainly not intended."Napolitano suggested that critics have taken the report's findings out of context and that there has been a lot of political spinning "out there in Washington, D.C. land."Several lawmakers, the American Legion and the Vets for Freedom organization took offense to the report. The Veterans of Foreign Wars defended it as an assessment, not an accusation. In February, the department issued a similar warning about possible cyber attacks from left wing extremists. In September, the agency reported that right-wing extremists over the past five years had used the immigration debate as a recruiting tool. Since September, the agency issued at least four reports on individual domestic extremist groups such as Hammerskin Nation, a skinhead organization. In the Sept. 26, 2008, Hammerskin assessment, the agency says that a number of the group's members have received "extensive military training" and served in Iraq and Afghanistan. The report said the veterans have the training needed to build large scale bombs, like the type used in the Oklahoma City bombing.

Saw a photoshop today comparing her pic with Herman Munster's pic. The similarities are striking.

She does look like Herman Munster! Will there be domestic terrorism again? Sure. From the right and the left. People are crazy. She still needs to go. The government (Republicans and Democrats)tends to see terrorist everywhere. When you fuck people over routinely you have to watch your back. Bush was watching Food Not Bombs (who collect leftovers to feed the homeless) and even better, tracking hummus sales in San Francisco area grocery stores! Classic.

Hey we're all offended that his politician would be considered one of us.

I am deeply offended by the Napolitano comparison to Herman Munster. Really, Herman had redeeming social values and was a smart man. This woman is an idiot. Herman was also much more eloquent, not to mention better looking. Anybody out there remember "Car 54 Where Are You?" Napolitano actually did star in that show as Francis Muldoon... or was it Tootie?

All I know is that we train hard, endure what many people are not willing to endure to go and defend against real terrorists and yet, here at home somebody like Napolitano compares me to the trash that I just protected here butt from. She is sick and ugly. Just don't ever compare her to somebody cool like Herman Munster again. Classic.
