Iran's First Nuclear Power Plant Goes Live On Wednesday

And here we are folks...reading that headline, some of us scratching our heads asking how we got to this point and some of us hauling another six months worth of MRE's into our bunkers in the back yard. As the West has thrown rolls of tissue paper and limpy spaghetti noodles at the Iranian regime regarding their illegal venture into nuclear energy and nuclear weapons, the Iranians never skipped a beat and now, this Wednesday, their first nuclear power plants is set to power up on Wednesday. This Wednesday. Here's the details from the story at Breitbart:

Iran's official news agency says the country's first nuclear power plant will begin preliminary phase operation on Wednesday after a series of delays.
The Sunday report by the IRNA agency says "pilot stage operation" of the power plant will start on Wednesday during a visit by the head of Russia's state Rosatom Atomic Corporation, Sergey Kiriyenko.

Now, some of the Libs in the U.S., and perhaps members of the Obama administration, will say that this is a nuclear power plant which is a long ways from the technology for nuclear weapons but isn't that a little bit like saying that yes, you have a convicted sexual predator living in the neighborhood but he doesn't have a key to get outside of his locked home (while you notice an open window on the second floor)?

I wish I had a nickel for everytime I've heard people say...."Well, Israel just won't allow Iran to have nuclear weapons and they will take care of it." Think about that, just once. In other words, the Western world is too spineless to do the right thing...too sissified to confront the Iranians in the most direct way, that being of might against might and finally putting their military foot down and saying YOU CANNOT HAVE NUCLEAR WEAPONS!

Oh no, the powers of America, Britain, France and Germany all have sat on their hands...they let the U.N. play the stall game the whole time knowing Iran had the machinery in place to move forward with their nuclear ambitions. It's my view that over a year ago, President George Bush should have called a summit meeting with Israel, Britain, France and Germany and simply made a detailed plan of taking out the Iranian nuclear facilities militarily and got sign off from each of those countries - then, the message should have been delivered to the Iranians that this plan would be implemented in six months if the Iranians had not begun to dismantle their nuclear program. Simple as that. If the Iranians gave the West the finger, then in six months the Iranian facilities would have been dismantled by bunker busting bombs.

Iran to begin operation of 1st nuclear power plant

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) - Iran's official news agency says the country's first nuclear power plant will begin preliminary phase operation on Wednesday after a series of delays.
The Sunday report by the IRNA agency says "pilot stage operation" of the power plant will start on Wednesday during a visit by the head of Russia's state Rosatom Atomic Corporation, Sergey Kiriyenko.
The long-awaited 1,000-MW power plant, which was built in the city of Bushehr with the help from Russia under a $1 billion contract, was expected to become operational in fall of 2008.
Some 700 Iranian engineers were trained in Russia to operate the plant.
Tehran also plans to build a 360-megawatt nuclear power plant in Darkhovin, in the southwestern Khuzestan province.
